Chapter 811 Darling, Come and Hold My Hand (9)
When Song Jinhuan woke up again, she found herself lying in bed, with Ye Huai sitting by the bedside, staring at her for an unknown amount of time.
She suppressed the tremor in her heart and rubbed her slightly dizzy forehead. "Did I sleep for a long time?"
Ye Huai's eyes flickered: "Not long."
"Let's pack up, it's time to go."
Song Jinhuan quickly got up, went to the bathroom to wash her face, and looked up at herself in the mirror. She had shoulder-length hair, bangs, and big, round eyes that looked radiant.
She unconsciously moved closer and inadvertently noticed a small red patch on the side of her neck. She gently rubbed it with her fingertip, and it felt a little itchy.
It must have been a mosquito bite.
How strange, there are mosquitoes here too.
She stepped out of the restroom and couldn't help but exclaim, "Ye Huai, I didn't expect there to be mosquitoes here!"
Ye Huai frowned: "How is that possible?"
Just as I was about to explain the types of creatures that existed in the slaughterhouse, the girl pointed to her neck and proved, "Look! A mosquito bite!"
That look in his eyes clearly conveyed a firm conviction that you couldn't disbelieve him.
Well……
Ye Huai's eyes flickered as he stared at the vibrant color that was different from the skin on his neck. His Adam's apple bobbed involuntarily a few times before he finally nodded slightly. "Yes, it was a mosquito."
Song Jinhuan couldn't help but feel a little smug, as if she had suppressed Ye Huai's momentum in an instant!
Ye Huai opened a door, and the inside was pitch black.
Song Jinhuan peeked out and couldn't help feeling flustered.
Although she prefers dimly lit environments, it doesn't mean she can accept deathly silence in complete darkness.
Where is this?
Ye Huai gently rubbed her head. "The entrance to the bus station."
Song Jinhuan clenched his fist, his courage bursting forth, "Go!"
We have to get in.
Ye Huai reached out his hand to her.
Song Jinhuan clenched his fist, then relaxed it and placed it on top.
The moment Song Jinhuan's hand touched his palm, it was grasped by the other person.
I can't wait.
"Let's go."
"Wait." Song Jinhuan took two steps and then suddenly stopped.
Ye Huai turned his head; most of his body was already immersed in darkness, but the doubt in his eyes made him seem less unapproachable.
"Don't you have a flashlight? It's so dark in there."
This world is full of strange things. Song Jinhuan wouldn't ask why this entrance leads to the bus station, nor would she ask why there is so much food here.
They wouldn't even ask why this place has everything they need.
Ye Huai raised an eyebrow, looked down at their clasped hands, and asked with a smile, "Don't you believe me?"
Song Jinhuan paused slightly, and finally uttered a single word, "Trust."
To reassure her, Ye Huai added, "I will hold your hand, and we will reach our destination without any external light."
Whether it was her imagination or not, she felt that there was something hidden in the other person's words.
She was led into a pitch-black passage, her feet entangled in darkness, and her senses were suddenly amplified to an extreme degree.
The warmth of our palms touching felt exceptionally intense, and layers of heat spread across my back.
Their breathing echoed each other, seemingly forever out of sync.
Until light appeared ahead.
A moment of sensory malfunction.
Song Jinhuan reappeared at the same bus stop where she had first arrived, and a bus slowly drove towards her from afar.
Unlike before, this time, Ye Huai stood beside her.
"Will we be recognized as rebels after we get on the bus?" Song Jinhuan felt inexplicably nervous.
Ye Huai leaned down, tilted his head and gently touched her face, put one hand on her shoulder and whispered, "Relax, I'm here."
