(Mahjong parlor)
The dim and warm lighting illuminates the focused faces of the people. The interior is simple yet elegant, with several mahjong-themed murals hanging on the walls, adding a touch of cultural atmosphere.
The mahjong tables are neatly arranged, with four people sitting around each table. They are either thinking with their heads down or having heated discussions, completely immersed in the world of mahjong.
Everyone's eyes were fixed on the cards in their hands and the situation on the table, sometimes frowning, sometimes showing joy. They gently stroked the mahjong tiles with their fingers, as if feeling the luck and possibilities brought by each tile.
The hall was filled with laughter. Some people excitedly clapped their hands and cheered when they won, while others pretended to be upset when their winning hand was intercepted, which made everyone laugh.
"Oh, this was a close win, all thanks to that Dongfeng card!"
Old Zhang smiled and patted his chest, looking relieved.
"Xiaoyan, your luck is so good. You've won three consecutive hands by yourself. Did you secretly pray to the God of Wealth?" Aunt Zhang joked.
"Haha, this is called 'the wheel of fortune'. When it's my turn, nothing can stop it."
Yan Yu was grinning from ear to ear at this moment.
"Hey, I had a chance to win a clean suit, but you snatched it away. I'll have to be more careful next time!"
Xiao Zhao pretended to be annoyed, but his eyes were full of smiles.
"How's your work lately? Are you busy?" Aunt Zhang asked about Lao Zhang's work situation while drawing cards.
"Don't mention it. I've been so busy with projects lately, working overtime until late at night every day. I feel like I'm falling apart."
Lao Zhang sighed, but then continued, "But once this project is over, I can relax."
"Yes, no matter how busy you are at work, you must make sure to rest. Your health is the capital of revolution."
Aunt Zhang said earnestly.
Just then, Yan Wei's cell phone rang.
Yan Yu continued to draw cards as if he didn't hear anything.
"Xiaoyan, your phone keeps ringing."
Aunt Zhang kindly reminded.
Yan Yi glanced at the person displayed in the phone address book, it was Cai Jingye.
"Aunt Zhang, don't bother with harassing phone calls."
"Aunt Zhang, play your cards quickly."
"I often receive such harassing calls..."
"Usually these calls are trying to trick you into buying a house or insurance. They're all scammers."
Old Zhang spoke.
"Yeah, what Lao Zhang said makes sense."
"There are so many scammers these days."
Xiao Zhao said angrily.
(This kid... must have been cheated before, just listen to the tone of his voice)
Yan Yu finished round after round.
“That’s a mistake…”
Just in the next round the phone rang again.
Yan Yu couldn't help it this time and picked up the phone.
"Can you please stop fighting? Will the sky fall and people die?"
The person on the other end of the phone was silent for a second.
"You'll die outside."
How can a mouth that is 36 degrees Celsius say such cold words?
He was instantly awakened by the splash, and he recognized it was Ye Qingliu.
It’s over!! It’s really over this time!!
The other party hung up the phone with a snap.
Yan Yu sat down with an uncomfortable look on his face and stopped playing cards.
"Have fun everyone. Something happened at home so I'm leaving first."
Yan Yu left the mahjong hall at the speed of light.
"Tsk tsk tsk, Xiaoyan's expression is so familiar. It's obvious that his wife at home beat him."
Old Zhang said.
"Old Zhang, you really understand."
Aunt Zhang joked.
Just then, Lao Zhang's cell phone rang.
He answered almost instantly.
"Wife, what's wrong?"
"It's already this late and you haven't come back yet."
"Yeah, I'll be right back."
Then the phone was hung up.
"I'll be leaving first~"
Lao Zhang also left, and the rest of the people had no intention of continuing to play, so they went back.
After Yan Yu came out, he started calling Ye Qingliu frantically, but no one answered.
On the other side...
"He called so many times, why didn't you answer?" Cai Jingye asked curiously.
Ye Qingliu simply replied with two words, "I don't want to."
"So...are you angry?"
Cai Jingye stared at the other person's overly calm eyes and continued to ask.
"Why should I be angry?"
Ye Qingliu asked back.
"Let's go, young master of the Ye family."
"Please show me around this city."
Ye Qingliu followed Cai Jingye into the car.
Yan Yi received a message from Cai Jingye.
They are currently in the bar of Global Shopping Center.
Ye Qingliu was sitting at the bar under the dim light, gently swaying the highball glass in his hand. The dark red wine in the glass rippled gently with his movements, as if carrying some mysterious rhythm.
Ye Qingliu slowly brought the wine glass to his lips and took a sip. The mellow aroma of the wine instantly spread in his mouth, causing him to raise his brows unconsciously and reveal a hint of enjoyment.
As the wine slowly flowed down his cheeks, a faint blush gradually appeared on his face, like the morning glow, gentle and charming.
His eyes began to become blurred, sometimes staring at the swaying light and shadow in the wine glass, sometimes looking up into the distance, as if he was thinking about something, or as if he was just immersed in his own world.
There was a faint smile on the corner of his mouth, which contained both satisfaction and a hint of imperceptible melancholy.
“What was it like to drink alcohol for the first time?”
Cai Jingye looked at him and spoke.
