When Wu Meng pushed open the door of the villa, the sound of her high heels was particularly clear in the empty entrance hall.
A single dim wall lamp lit the living room, and the aroma of whiskey hung in the air. Her gaze fell on the sofa—Xu Jinshi was half-leaning against a cushion, his black silk shirt open at the collar, his collarbone gleaming in the light.
His fingers loosely gripped the crystal glass, the amber wine swaying on the glass wall, reflecting his slightly tipsy eyebrows.
He heard the sound, raised his eyes lazily, a smile appeared on the corner of his lips, and his voice was hoarse with drunkenness: "Sister is back?"
Wu Meng didn't respond, but slowly took off her coat and casually draped it over the back of the sofa. She walked up to him, looked down at him, and lifted his chin with her fingertips: "Who allowed you to drink so much?"
Xu Jinshi chuckled, took her wrist, and pulled her into his arms. Wu Meng was caught off guard and fell into his lap, with him holding her waist.
"I missed you." He lowered his head, rubbing his nose against the side of her neck, his breath hot, "Sister came home so late tonight."
There was a coquettish tone to his voice, like some large dog that was clearly an adult but still had a bit of boyish clinginess.
Wu Meng frowned at the smell of alcohol on him and reached out to push him: "Let go."
Xu Jinshi not only didn't let go, but tightened his arms, holding her even tighter. His lips were pressed against her ear, and his voice was low and hoarse: "Not letting go... unless sister kisses me."
Wu Meng sneered, pinched his chin with his fingertips, and forced him to look up: "Xu Jinshi, have you forgotten your identity?"
Xu Jinshi's eyes were hazy, but with a hint of stubbornness. He tilted his head slightly, his lips almost touching hers: "I haven't forgotten... I'm your little lover."
He spoke frivolously, but a dark emotion flashed in his eyes.
Wu Meng stared at him for a few seconds, then suddenly lowered her head and bit his lips hard.
This kiss was like punishment. She rubbed his lips mercilessly until he groaned in pain and then pulled away slightly.
"If you know you're lovers, don't cross the line," she said coldly.
Xu Jinshi licked the corner of his bitten lip and suddenly smiled.
Wu Meng was pressed against the leather sofa by him, and her breathing became rapid unconsciously. Her slender fingers pressed against his strong chest, but he easily grabbed her wrist and pressed it against the armrest of the sofa above her head.
Xu Jinshi's movements seemed strong, but his eyes suddenly softened, like a large cat retracting its claws.
"Sister..." His voice suddenly took on a nasal tone, and he buried his face in the crook of her neck, rubbing it gently. His warm breath sprayed on her sensitive skin, stirring up a slight shudder.
"I've been waiting for you for four hours..." He dragged out his words, his grievance evident. "I didn't even have dinner..."
Wu Meng turned away from his wet eyes, her voice deliberately cold: "It's just a business dinner."
"You're lying," he retorted immediately, speaking in a coquettish tone. His soft lips brushed her earlobe, "I smell...it's Director Chen's cologne."
After he finished speaking, he bit her neck lightly in a childish manner, controlling the strength just right, not hurting her but enough to express his dissatisfaction.
Wu Meng sneered: "Xu Jinshi, when did you become a part-time police dog?"
This remark seemed to strike a chord with him. He suddenly lost all strength, like a large dog being scolded by its owner. He rested his forehead on her shoulder and said in a muffled voice, "...I'm just jealous."
After he finished speaking, he deliberately rubbed her exposed collarbone with the tip of his nose, and his warm breath made that skin slightly hot.
Wu Meng didn't expect him to admit it so bluntly and was speechless for a moment.
Seeing she remained silent, Xu Jinshi raised his eyelashes. Under the light, his eyes seemed to hold a clear spring, the corners of his eyes drooping slightly, revealing just the right amount of vulnerability. "Sister, you can't do this to me..."
His fingers gently hooked the corner of her clothes, and his knuckles rubbed the sensitive area on her waist. "I made your favorite beef stew in red wine... It's cold now..."
Wu Meng finally couldn't help but turn around and look at him: "You cook for me yourself?"
He nodded immediately, his hair swaying gently with his movements, casting a soft flaxen sheen under the light. "Yeah," he said with obvious flattery in his voice, "and I cut my finger..." He extended his slender index finger, which was indeed covered with a Band-Aid.
Wu Meng snorted coldly: "Serves you right."
Xu Jinshi seemed to have seized the opportunity and immediately moved closer.
The tip of his nose gently brushed against her cheek, his warm lips almost touching her earlobe: "...So, sister, are you heartbroken?" His breath brushed against her earlobe as he spoke, causing a slight shiver.
"Don't try that on me." She turned her face away pretending to be indifferent, but she couldn't hide the slightly red tips of her ears.
He pressed his entire body weight down on her, resting his chin on her shoulder. His voice suddenly became soft and sticky: "...My stomach hurts..."
Xu Jinshi let out a soft groan as she finished speaking, sounding genuinely distressed. But that restless hand had quietly slipped under her skirt, its calloused fingertips rubbing circles on the skin of her waist.
Wu Meng was so angry that she laughed and pinched his well-defined cheek: "Xu Jinshi, do you have a stomachache or are you in heat?"
He blinked his charming peach blossom eyes, and suddenly a pure and lustful smile bloomed on his face. The small mole at the corner of his eye was particularly obvious under the light: "...Guess?" The ending tone rose, with a clear teasing meaning.
