Chapter 166? Provocation after school?

Wu Zeyu seized the opportunity to break free, spun around, and delivered an elbow to Li Cheng's stomach. The man doubled over with a groan, and Wu Zeyu raised his knee, catching him squarely in the jaw. Li Cheng fell backward, the back of his head hitting the tile floor with a dull thud.

The classroom was a mess. Desks were tilted and tilted, notebooks and stationery scattered across the floor. A few girls who hadn't had time to leave huddled in a corner, one with ponytails already pulling out her phone to record the class.

Zhang Lie had recovered by then. He spat out a mouthful of blood and pulled a Swiss Army knife from his trouser pocket. With a click, the sharp blade popped out, gleaming coldly in the setting sun.

"Are you serious?" Li Hao covered his chin and climbed up, his face changing.

Wu Zeyu's breathing became heavy. He noticed that Zhang Lie's hand holding the knife was trembling slightly, but his eyes were extremely fierce. The knife was not long, but it was enough to make a cut in a person. He slowly backed away, his back against the blackboard.

"Are you scared?" Zhang Lie grinned, his bloodied mouth wide open. "Kneel down and apologize, and I'll pretend nothing happened."

Wu Zeyu's eyes swept across the classroom. The back door was blocked by a fallen desk, and at the front door... Li Hao and Wang Ming were standing there. Ji Cheng was still lying on the ground, groaning, but he was able to move.

He took a deep breath, suddenly grabbed the chalk box on the podium and smashed it towards Zhang Lie's face.

White dust exploded in the air, and Zhang Lie instinctively closed his eyes. Wu Zeyu seized the opportunity to rush forward, grabbing his knife-wielding wrist and slamming it hard against the blackboard.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

After three consecutive blows, the Swiss Army knife finally slipped out of his hand and slid to the other end of the classroom. Zhang Lie cried out in pain and grabbed Wu Zeyu's face with his free hand.

His nails left burning scratches on his cheeks. Wu Zeyu ignored the pain and grabbed Zhang Lie by the collar, slamming his forehead into his nose.

"Crack!"

The sound of broken bones cracked even more clearly. Zhang Lie's screams changed pitch, like a cat whose tail was stepped on. Blood gushed from his twisted nose, staining the front of their entangled school uniforms red.

"Stop! Everyone stop!"

Suddenly, a loud shout echoed from the classroom door. Teacher Lin, the homeroom teacher, and security guard Lao Zhang rushed in. Lao Zhang, still holding a riot fork, was visibly stunned when he saw the scene inside.

Wu Zeyu finally let go. Zhang Lie slid to the ground like a puddle of mud, his blond hair clung to his forehead with blood and sweat, his expensive, trendy T-shirt wrinkled like a rag. He gasped with his mouth open, blood foam oozing from his nostrils with every breath.

"What's going on?!" Teacher Lin's voice trembled, and his eyes glanced back and forth between several students.

Wu Zeyu said nothing. He felt a sharp pain in his left arm. Looking down, he saw a cut on his sleeve, blood seeping from the skin beneath. It must have been from an accidental scrape when he'd grabbed the knife.

"He...he started it first..." Wang Ming pointed at Wu Zeyu, his voice weak.

"Bullshit!" A girl huddled in the corner suddenly spoke up. "Zhang Lie and the others were the first to curse and even started to touch us!"

Teacher Lin's expression turned even uglier. She glanced at Zhang Lie, whose face was covered in blood, then at Wu Zeyu, who was only slightly injured, before finally settling on the Swiss Army knife that had fallen to the ground.

"Everyone, follow me to the Academic Affairs Office!" her voice trembled. "And all of you, put away your phones! No recording!"

Wu Zeyu bent down to pick up his broken earphones, wiped them gently, and put them in his pocket. As he walked past Zhang Lie, he heard him squeeze out a sentence from between his teeth:

"This isn't over yet..."

The voice was soft, but the hatred in it made Wu Zeyu feel a chill on his back. He paused, then walked towards the door without looking back.

The corridor was already filled with students watching the excitement. Whispers surged like a tide:

"Is that Zhang Lie? He was beaten so badly..."

"Serves you right. You're always so arrogant..."

"Wu Zeyu is finished. The Zhang family won't let him go..."

Wu Zeyu walked through the crowd, the setting sun shining through the corridor window onto him, stretching his shadow very long. He then realized that his hands were shaking violently, not from fear, but from some inexplicable emotion.

It was like something that had been suppressed for many years finally broke out of the ground.
