He suddenly stopped in front of a mural. The eyes of the Virgin Mary in the mural were two obsidian stones. When he shone an ultraviolet lamp on it, the light reflected from the stone formed a star-shaped pattern on the ground.
In the Gu laboratory, Li Zhou placed the obsidian he had brought back from the monastery on the spectrum analyzer. A strange string of wavelength data popped up on the screen, perfectly matching the spectra of the Shen family's crest ruby and the Jin family's sapphire.
"These three gemstones come from the same mineral vein," the technician pointed to a data comparison chart. "They're from a private mine in South Africa, owned by..."
"Jin Group." Chen Yanxiu looked at the list of shareholders on the screen, and Jin Chanyun's name was prominently listed.
He suddenly remembered the words in Li Zhengyang's notes: "Be careful of the stars around you." The stars are both the symbol of the Jin family and the code word of the night owl.
Jin Chenyun's call came through again. He stood in the ruins of the monastery, holding a half piece of obsidian with faint letters engraved on it. "Mr. Shen, I found this under the bell tower."
The scene switched to a metal box. The lid was engraved with the same lotus pattern as the one in Shen's cellar, but the center of the flower was inlaid with a piece of broken obsidian instead of a ruby.
"Open it." Chen Yanxiu's voice trembled slightly.
The moment the box was opened, there was no account book inside, only a videotape.
Jin Sunyun inserted the tape into the player he carried with him. Li Zhengyang's face appeared on the screen. He was wearing a police uniform, with the Jiangcheng Bridge in the background. "Sunyun, Yanxiu, if you see this, it means the Nightingale Project has been exposed. The true leader of the Night Owl is..."
The video suddenly cut off, and a line of words popped up on the screen: "The key is in the cracks of the obsidian."
In the crystal laboratory of the National University of Singapore, Jin Annuo, wearing a dust mask, is observing the cracks of obsidian with a laser microscope.
Each crack looks like a natural gully, presenting a strange geometric pattern under a high-power microscope.
"Brother, look at this." She pointed to a crack on the screen. "Its direction is exactly the same as the veins of the lotus flower on the Shen family crest."
Jin Suyun enlarged the pattern, and the intersection of the cracks suddenly formed a familiar symbol - the head of a night owl.
He suddenly remembered the last note in Li Zhengyang's notebook. There were three connected stars drawn on it, and the middle star was circled in red. The obsidian was found at the position of the middle star.
"An Nuo, overlap the Shen family crest, the Jin family emblem, and the obsidian crack pattern."
When the three patterns overlapped in the holographic projection, a miracle happened - together they formed a complete Interpol emblem, and the Night Owl's owl head logo was located exactly in the center of the emblem, forming a perfect paradoxical pattern.
"So that's it..." Jin Sunyun's pupils suddenly contracted. "Night Owl isn't just one person, but a shadowy network that has infiltrated Interpol. They're using our badges as cover!"
In the ward of Jiangcheng Hospital, Chen Yanxiu looked at the holographic image and suddenly remembered the details of Li Zhengyang’s car accident scene - the black ribbon on the steering wheel was the identification mark of the Interpol Special Operations Team.
He sat up suddenly and grabbed the communicator on the table: "Mr. Jin, Mr. Li Zhengyang's car accident was not an accident, it was a Night Owl cleanup operation!"
In the basement archives of the Interpol headquarters building, Jin Chanyun is retrieving case files from ten years ago.
When he entered "Nightingale Plan", the system suddenly popped up a warning: "Insufficient authority, authorization from the supreme commander is required." He took off his watch, put the rose emblem on the back of the watch close to the scanner, and the metal door opened.
The safe in the center of the archive room is engraved with the same lotus as the Shen family's emblem, except that a huge ruby is embedded in the center of the flower.
Jin Chanyun placed the obsidian he brought back from the monastery into the groove. The gem suddenly lit up red and the safe slowly opened.
There were no documents inside, only an urn with Li Zhengyang's name engraved on the lid and a broken police badge with the serial number 7748 next to it.
Jin Sunyun picked up the police badge and touched the fine incision on the back with his fingertips. It was a line from Li Zhengyang's favorite poem: "Star tracks are sleepless, roses have thorns."
Suddenly, all the lights in the archives went out, and the emergency lights flashed red. Jin Suyun quickly put on his night vision goggles and saw a dozen dark figures descending from the vents, their submachine guns flashing coldly.
The leader wore a night owl mask and spoke through a voice changer: "Boss Jin, how are you?"
"Who are you?" Jin Chanyun hid behind the safe and took out a pistol.
"It doesn't matter who I am." Night Owl approached the urn, his fingertips tracing over Li Zhengyang's name. "What matters is that the Nightingale Project should end."
He suddenly took off his mask, revealing a face that shocked Jin Chanyun - he was actually the current supreme commander of Interpol.
The night sky over Jiangcheng was shrouded in dark clouds. Standing before the Criminal Investigation Team's evidence wall, Chen Yanxiu connected all the clues into a vast web: Li Zhengyang's car accident, the key to the Shen family crest, the infiltration of the Jin Group, and the identity of the Night Owl leader.
All arrows ultimately point to one name - the Interpol Commander.
"Brother, what should we do?" Chen Yanbai looked at the photo on the wall and clenched his fists. "He's the highest-ranking officer of Interpol!"
Chen Yanxiu did not answer, but just called up the real-time footage sent by Jin Chanyun.
In the picture, Jin Chanyun was trapped in the archive room, and bullets hit the safe, sending out sparks.
He suddenly remembered the last sentence in Li Zhengyang's notes: "The only way to end the game is to break it."
