Ye Qingliu walked to the bedside, ignoring his sister's request for credit, and his eyes fell calmly on Chao Youye's face.
"How do you feel?" His voice was still calm and cold, without any emotion, but it was like a precise probe.
Chao Youye slowly opened her eyes. Her violet pupils were still filled with fatigue and lingering heaviness, but at least they were no longer empty and dead.
He didn't answer Ye Qingliu's question, but only nodded very slightly, almost imperceptibly, as a response. His throat was dry and tight, and he didn't want to speak.
Ye Qingliu didn't seem to need an answer. He reached out his hand, his movements very natural, and touched Chao Youye's forehead. His fingertips were slightly cool, touching the still slightly hot skin.
Chao Youye's body stiffened slightly for a moment, but she didn't resist as fiercely as she did when facing Mu Xinrong.
"The temperature has dropped," Ye Qingliu retracted his hand and stated. His gaze lingered for about a second as he scanned the mark on Chao Youye's wrist, still gray but no longer emitting an ominous aura.

He suddenly closed his eyes, and his body, which had just calmed down slightly due to the cake and hot water, tensed up uncontrollably again! His stomach cramped violently, and the sweet cake he had just swallowed seemed to have turned into a heavy lead block, blocking his chest!
He clenched the sheets tightly, his knuckles turning white, and a suppressed, broken gasp escaped from his throat.
Don't see him... Can't see him...
Ye Qingliu saw Chao Youye's violent reaction clearly, and his gray-blue eyes behind the lenses showed no ripples, as if he had already known it.
He didn't say anything else, but just stretched out his hand very naturally and pulled Hua Jinyue up from the carpet. His movements were gentle and unquestionable like a brother.
"Let's go." He said to Hua Jinyue in a calm tone.
"Ah? But the cake isn't there yet..." Hua Jinyue pouted somewhat dissatisfiedly, wanting to feed him more.
"He needs to rest." Ye Qingliu interrupted her, his tone brooking no room for rebuttal. He pulled the still reluctant Hua Jinyue along, turned around and left the guest room, gently closing the door.
