He sat back on the sofa, his posture even more relaxed than before, but his eyes were still like the abyss, staring at Ning Yunmeng tightly.
He adjusted his cuffs slowly and methodically, his movements almost cruelly graceful.
"Ning Xiwan?" He repeated the name softly, a very faint and cold arc appearing at the corner of his mouth, with a hint of amusement and... disdain?
"She's quite brave." He raised his eyes and fixed them on Ning Yunmeng's pale face again. His voice was calm and without a trace of emotion. "Yunmeng, you're very smart. You knew how to throw the dirty water on her. But..."
He changed the subject, leaning forward slightly, and the overwhelming sense of oppression hit him again. "You should be more aware that this photo... regardless of whether she sent it or not, it's in your hands now, and you've seen it. This in itself has already touched my bottom line."
Ning Yunmeng's heart suddenly sank to the bottom! He simply didn't believe it! Or rather, he didn't care whether it was Ning Xiwan's!
What he cared about was that she knew the secret! She saw something she shouldn't have seen!
"I...I can pretend I didn't see it!" Ning Yunmeng promised anxiously, her voice tinged with tears. "Brother Yuheng! I swear! I'll delete it right now! I won't say anything! Believe me!"
"I... I just want to be with you and take revenge on that bitch Ning Xiwan! As for everything else... I don't want to know anything!" She tried to emphasize the common "enemy" and her own "loyalty" again.
Qin Yuheng listened quietly, without any expression on his face. In those beautiful phoenix eyes, there was a pure and cold look, as if he was examining his prey.
After Ning Yunmeng's sobbing came to an end, he slowly spoke. His voice was not loud, but it carried an unquestionable sense of judgment:
"Delete it? Pretend you didn't see it?" He chuckled, but there was no warmth in his laughter.
"Yunmeng, you're too naive. Some things, once seen, are forever etched in your mind. Just like... Pandora's box, once opened, it can never be closed again."
He stood up and looked down at Ning Yunmeng, who was slumped on the carpet and shivering, with an indifferent look as if he was looking at a dead object.
"Have a good rest tonight." His tone returned to its previous "gentle" tone, but it made Ning Yunmeng feel even colder than the previous violent tone.
"Tomorrow, I will arrange for someone to take you back to the city. The villa... is not suitable for you to stay for the time being."
After saying this, he didn't even glance at Ning Yunmeng. He turned around and walked out of the suite with steady and elegant steps.
The door closed gently with a soft click, like the final death knell.
Ning Yunmeng felt exhausted and collapsed on the carpet, with cold sweat soaking the clothes on her back.
She gasped for breath. The exhaustion and immense fear of surviving the disaster were like a cold tide, repeatedly washing over her fragile nerves.
Did he believe her? Did he let her go? What did that phrase, "Not suitable for the time being," mean? Was it a warning? Or... a suspended sentence?
She crawled to the coffee table trembling and grabbed her cell phone. The damn picture was still lit on the screen.
Qin Yuheng didn't force her to delete it immediately, which in itself was a deeper warning - he knew she didn't dare to delete it, or in other words, to him, deleting it or not, it didn't matter much.
Her life, everything she had, now depended on his thoughts.
After the immense humiliation and fear, there was an even more surging hatred! Towards Qin Yuheng, Qin Yuzheng, and Ning Xiwan! It was Ning Xiwan who had caused her to fall into this state!
It was that pervert Qin Yuheng who treated her like a plaything and a chess piece! It was Qin Yuzheng...that terrifying man, he was the source of all this!
No! She couldn't just give in like this! Did Qin Yuheng think he had everything under control? She was determined to rip this false calm apart! That photo... was her last weapon!
She wanted to let Qin Yuheng know that she, Ning Yunmeng, was not a lamb to be slaughtered!
A crazy and desperate idea was growing wildly in her heart like poison ivy.
Since Qin Yuheng was afraid of this secret being exposed, then she would…let this secret be exposed in the way she wanted! She wanted to use this photo to completely tie Qin Yuheng to her chariot!
She wanted him to know that she would only keep this secret if he helped her completely destroy Ning Xiwan! Otherwise... they would all go to hell together!
