Chapter 30: Mutual Understanding

That morning, not long after Mu Xinrong stepped into the campus, he saw a tall and familiar figure in front of him. It was Chao Youye.

At this moment, a sweet and lovely girl came trotting over from a distance and came to Chao Youye's side. I don't know what Chao Youye said, but the girl's face flushed with shyness.

Then he walked towards the teaching building side by side with Chao Youye. The backs of the couple were so dazzling in the sunlight, like a needle piercing into Mu Xinrong's retina.

Mu Xinrong was absent-minded in class all day long. He walked out of the school gate directly after school and ran into Chao Youye again.

Just as he was about to go forward, the girl came over and ran to Chao Youye's side. She seemed to say something like "Sorry, I kept you waiting for a long time" and then held Chao Youye's arm affectionately.

A faint smile appeared on Chao Youye's cold face, and the two of them chatted as they walked in front.

Mu Xinrong followed them to the cafe. Heng did not go in, but looked inside through the glass window from the outside. The cafe was decorated in a very comfortable color scheme, and the tables and chairs were Western style.

The waiter skillfully brews a cup of coffee, creates a beautiful latte art with cream, and then has the waiter serve it to the customer. In a coffee shop, people can enjoy a slow time without being disturbed by the world.

The girl's voice was so soft that if you didn't know, you would think she was acting coquettishly with her partner. Chao Youye just listened to the girl quietly and sometimes replied with a word or two.

In short, it is an atmosphere that is difficult for outsiders to fit in. Even the light of the setting sun begins to soften, creating an atmosphere of tranquility.

They looked like a couple.

The girl finished her coffee, answered a phone call, and said apologetically, "I have to go."

"Be careful on the road."

He paid the money to Youye and gave her a charming smile.

After he came out of the cafe, he was stopped after walking a few steps.

"Youye."

"What a coincidence."

"What is your relationship?"

Mu Xinrong asked very directly, hoping that the other party could give him a clear answer.

"What do you think our relationship should be?

When Chao Youye heard Mu Xinrong's question, she laughed softly and asked back deliberately.

Mu Xinrong never expected the other party to say such words. He comforted himself in his heart, it's not a big deal, it's no big deal, it's really no big deal...

Isn't it normal for Youye to have someone she likes? Mu Xinrong, you're not an important person in his life, you're just his friend.

As expected, he was trapped in his own world again. He just wanted to ask all the questions he wanted to ask as quickly as possible, and then escape from here like a down-and-out person, and escape from everything forever.

"Why did you kiss me that day?"

Mu Xinrong mustered up the courage to ask the question that had puzzled him for a long time, a question that made him lose his appetite.

After Mu Xinrong asked this question, he breathed a sigh of relief, but hesitated for a second or two when facing Youye.

Mu Xinrong saw this subtle expression clearly. While he longed for the answer, he was also afraid that the cruel reality would hit him to death with a stick.

"It was an accident, you understand."

Mu Xinrong had never heard such a pleasant voice say such harsh words at this moment, which were colder than ice in winter.

(A mouth at 37 degrees Celsius utters such vicious words)

Well, something had completely torn his heart in two.

Is that so? Is that ridiculous? Mu Xinrong.

You are being sentimental...

"Yeah……"

Mu Xinrong just laughed twice, and the momentum gradually weakened, and began to mechanically play an uncoordinated melody.

It was like the sound of a blade scratching on a cold piece of iron. The iron sheet lay motionless, but the blade still left its mark.

Mu Xinrong had no idea his nails were digging deep into his flesh. He tried his best to suppress his emotions, and a strong feeling of suffocation was about to swallow him up.

"What on earth do you take me for, Chao Youye!"

Mu Xinrong, who was always good-tempered, completely lost control of his emotions at this moment and let out a final roar at Chao Youye in front of him.

Chao Youye was obviously stunned by the other party's sudden roar, but he quickly reacted, went straight up and grabbed Mu Xinrong's clothes and dragged him into the alley.

Mu Xinrong wanted to break free but was held like an iron claw by the other party and could not move.

“Let go…let go!!!”

Chao Youye approached quickly and suddenly, not giving Mu Xinrong any chance to react, and roughly pressed him against the cold wall.

Then he quickly kissed Mu Xinrong's lips. This time the kiss was completely different from the last time. It was like a storm, wanton and fierce, completely intoxicating him. His tongue tip invaded Mu Xinrong's mouth with an unquestionable authority.

"Chao Youye... enough!!"

Mu Xinrong pushed him away with all her strength, leaned against the wall and took a deep breath...

"Don't be so self-righteous..."

A loud slap landed directly on Chao Youye's face, causing burning pain.

"I'm not someone you can trample on at will. What do you want from me, over and over again?!"

After being forcefully kissed, Mu Xinrong's anger reached its peak...

If you don't like me, why are you playing with my feelings?

The slap stunned Chao Youye. He didn't expect that things were completely out of his control.

"Don't you understand yet? Because I like you."

These words fell into Mu Xinrong's ears, and his brain froze at the critical moment.
