Chapter 303 Qin Yuheng's "Large Dog" Daily Life

The first ray of sunlight in the early morning penetrated the thick clouds and fell on the courtyard of Qin's manor covered with thick snow, reflecting fine and crystal light.

Inside the main house, the central air-conditioning system maintains a constant comfortable temperature, isolating the house from the severe cold outside. Only the occasional snow foam blown up by the wind outside the window silently hits the huge floor-to-ceiling windows.

On the second floor, Qin Yuzheng’s study.

The heavy dark walnut door was closed tightly, blocking out all sounds from the outside world.

The light inside was bright yet soft, and outside the huge floor-to-ceiling windows was a cedar forest covered in silver. Qin Yuzheng sat behind a large desk, several thick merger and acquisition documents spread out before him.

He wore a simple black high-necked cashmere sweater with the cuffs rolled up to his forearms, revealing his sleek wrists and a low-key yet priceless platinum watch.

The morning light fell on his cold and focused profile, outlining a perfect outline like a sculpture.

Slender fingers hold an expensive fountain pen, annotating the documents quickly and accurately. The steady rustling sound of the pen tip sliding across the paper is the only rhythm in this quiet space.

Suddenly, a very slight rustling sound was heard outside the door.

Like... some large animal is carefully scratching the door panel with its claws?

Qin Yuzheng's hand holding the pen paused slightly, and the tip of the pen left a tiny ink dot on the paper.

He did not lift his deep eyes from the document, but just frowned almost imperceptibly.

The scraping stopped for a moment, and then the door handle was turned downward very slowly, bit by bit. The door was pushed open a narrow gap.

A furry head poked in cautiously.

———It’s Qin Yuheng.

He seemed to have just woken up. His hair, which was usually carefully groomed, now looked a little fluffy and messy, with a few disobedient strands playfully sticking up in front of his forehead.

He was wearing a loose and soft gray home suit with a slightly open collar, revealing his beautiful collarbone.

That handsome, almost devilish face no longer had the usual arrogance and evilness. Instead, it held a kind of confusion that came from just waking up and... a hint of a guilty conscience?

He opened his beautiful phoenix eyes and quickly scanned the study like a searchlight - confirming that only Qin Yuzheng was there, and that he did not look disturbed to the point of being furious (this was the judgment standard he had summed up from years of experience).

Then, his eyes locked precisely on the silent figure behind the desk, and a smile as pure and flattering as the first melting snow instantly blossomed on his face.

"Brother..." He lowered his voice and called out in a whisper, like a big cat who was afraid of disturbing his owner.

Qin Yuzheng finally raised his head, his gaze calmly fixed on the head that was poking in. There was no expression on his face, and his eyes showed no joy or anger.

He didn't say anything, just looked at him quietly.

Qin Yuheng seemed to have received some kind of tacit signal, and immediately slipped in through the crack of the door like a slippery fish, and then closed the door with his backhand extremely lightly. His movements were so skillful as if he had practiced them thousands of times.

He walked barefoot on the soft, thick, long-pile carpet, and silently rubbed his way to the desk. He then "sank" into the single sofa closest to Qin Yuzheng like a puddle of boneless mud.

The sofa was very spacious, but he curled up into a ball, his chin resting on his knees, his arms wrapped around his calves, leaving only a pair of bright eyes exposed, staring at Qin Yuzheng who was working without blinking.

He didn't speak, didn't try to attract attention as usual, and didn't make any noise.

He just stayed there quietly, like a large, contented dog at his master's feet, as if just being able to stay in the same space, breathe the same air, and watch his brother's profile focused on his work was the happiest thing in the world.

Qin Yuzheng's gaze returned to the document and he continued to annotate. The rustling sound of the pen tip scraping across the paper could be heard again.

Yet, deep within those calm eyes, a tiny ripple seemed to pass through, so fast it seemed like an illusion. His commenting speed seemed... a tiny bit slower than before?

Time flows in silence. Sunlight shines through the French windows, casting spots of light on the carpet.

The only sounds in the study were the rustling of pens writing and Qin Yuheng's extremely light breathing, as if he was afraid of disturbing something.

After an unknown amount of time, Qin Yuzheng put down his pen, picked up the bone china coffee cup on the corner of the table, and found that it was empty.

Just as his fingertips left the cup wall—

"Brother! I'll go pour it!"

Qin Yuheng, who had been as quiet as if he didn't exist, suddenly jumped up from the sofa as if the start button had been pressed! His movements were as fast as a flash of gray lightning!

He rushed to the desk in a few steps and snatched the empty coffee cup away. His movements were so fast that Qin Yuzheng didn't even have time to react.

"You sit down! You sit down! Don't move!" Qin Yuheng held the cup as if he was holding some rare treasure, with a serious look on his face that said "let me do it", and his eyes were surprisingly bright.

"I know what you like to drink! Freshly ground Colombian milk, no sugar, just a little warm milk, and very fine foam! Right?"

He spoke rapidly, almost wagging his tail like a large dog eager to take credit.

Qin Yuzheng watched him switch from the state of "quiet pendant" to "excited waiter" in an instant, and raised his eyebrows almost imperceptibly.

He didn't say anything, but just nodded slightly, which was considered as tacit agreement.

Qin Yuheng, who received the "imperial edict", immediately felt as if he had received a great grace from heaven. Holding the cup, he rushed out of the study with light steps, almost jumping, and ran to the coffee corner downstairs.
