Mu Xinrong cried uncontrollably in his arms, her hands tightly clutching the sweater on Chao Youye's back, wrinkling the smooth fabric into a ball.
He greedily absorbed the familiar and reassuring breath from Chao Youye's neck, felt the steady and powerful heartbeat in his chest, felt the warmth in his arms... This was no longer a cold and hard shell.
But it is a real, warm harbor open only to him.
It was unknown how long it took before Mu Xinrong's sobbing finally subsided, leaving only subtle sobs. He still buried his head in the crook of Chao Youye's neck, unwilling to leave.
