In the crossbowman's horrified eyes, just when he had managed to steady his body and tried to raise the crossbow again, Ning Xiwan had appeared beside him like a ghost.

The crossbow in his hand flew out, and his body was like a kite with a broken string. He was pulled off the ground by the huge force and flew sideways.
"Splash--plop!" The crossbowman fell heavily into the fast-flowing and cold stream below, splashing huge waves. He struggled and flapped twice before being swept away by the surging current in an instant, disappearing in the depths of the churning white foam, his life or death unknown.
Clean! Sharp! Kill with one strike!
Ning Xiwan stood on the slippery rocks, breathing heavily, her chest heaving.
She didn't even look at the crossbowman who was swept away by the current. Her eyes were like two red-hot knives, fixed on the deep cave entrance that was like a monster's mouth.
Without any hesitation, she bent down to pick up the exquisite crossbow on the ground, and pulled out a few crossbow arrows from the quiver dropped by the crossbowman and put them on her waist.

She took a deep breath, held the crossbow in front of her, and placed a coldly gleaming arrow on the bowstring. Then, like the most vigilant female leopard, she stepped lightly and quietly sneaked in.
