Chapter 371: Calming People's Hearts

Her skinny hands tightly grasped the blue calico package in her arms, her knuckles hurting from the pinch. The empty lunch box inside the package now felt like a thousand pounds, weighing her down and making it hard for her to breathe.

The child's hands were cold... She just wanted to warm them... She really didn't mean anything else... The disgusted look from the fairy-like girl, the vague scrutiny from the gentle and elegant lady...

Hua Jinyue was still sulking about the phrase "there are many layers", with a puffy face.

Bai Zhiye was immersed in the sweet aftertaste of Ye Qingliu's words "It suits you very well". She smiled gently, her eyes lingering tenderly on Ye Qingliu's face, as if she had temporarily put the abrupt old man behind her.

Ye Qingliu lowered his eyelashes slightly, his gaze falling on the back of his hand which was still slightly cool and resting on the white sheets.

There seemed to be an extremely faint, fleeting, rough and warm touch remaining on it.

His fingertips curled up almost imperceptibly.
