Chapter 386 Omurice under the Clear Sky

The golden egg skin wraps the plump fried rice, covered with flowing, thick and bright tomato sauce, and garnished with chopped green parsley, exuding a hot and extremely tempting luster and aroma.

A hint of surprise clearly flashed across Jin Chanyun's eyes, and then they were filled with warmth and smiles.

He walked over to the table and looked at the omelet rice carefully. The egg skin was a uniform golden color, just the right thickness, and the edges perfectly wrapped around the fried rice without a single flaw.

The tomato sauce was bright red and thick, and even the way it flowed looked so tempting. It was a world of difference from the "disastrous" failures his sister had made in his memory.

"You did it?" There was a hint of subtle surprise and disbelief in his voice.

"Yeah!" An Nuo nodded vigorously, his eyes bright and his cheeks flushed with excitement and nervousness.

"I... I did it! Brother, come and try it!" She urged eagerly, stuffing the knife and fork into his hands, nervously observing every subtle expression of his.

Jin Sunyun pulled out a chair and sat down.

He picked up the knife, and the sharp tip of the knife gently touched the flawless golden egg skin. An Nuo's heart was in his throat, afraid that after this cut, the egg would still be undercooked or too cooked.

The tip of the knife slid down smoothly, encountering no resistance. As the egg skin was gently split, the semi-solidified, golden, molten egg liquid inside, mixed with hot steam, slowly and gurgled out, instantly covering the golden-red tomato fried rice below.

Success! Flowing!

Jin Annuo cheered silently in his heart, his fingers trembling slightly with excitement.

Jin Chanyun looked at the perfect flowing heart effect, and the smile in his eyes deepened.

He carefully picked up a small piece of fried rice covered with egg liquid and tomato sauce with a fork, along with a bit of tender egg skin, and put it into his mouth.

Jin Annuo held his breath and stared at his expression without blinking.

Jin Suyun chewed very slowly, as if he was savoring every grain of rice, every bit of egg liquid, and every hint of tomato sauce.

The expression on his face was one of concentration and...enjoyment that Anno had never seen before.

He didn't speak immediately, but his slightly narrowed eyes, the relaxed brows, and the increasingly deep, heartfelt curve at the corners of his lips all silently expressed his satisfaction.

"How is it?" Jin Annuo finally couldn't help it and asked with a trembling voice.

Jin Chanyun swallowed the food in his mouth and looked up at his sister, whose palms were sweating from nervousness.

"Annuo," his voice was low and clear, with a solemn affirmation, "This is the most delicious tomato omelet rice I have ever eaten."

"Really?!" The huge joy instantly overwhelmed all of Annuo's nervousness. Her eyes widened, filled with unbelievable surprise, as if falling into the entire clear sky.

"Really." Jin Suyun nodded affirmatively again, picked up a larger piece, and gestured for her to look at the perfect lava and rice grains inside.

"The egg skin is perfectly tender and smooth, and the cooking time is just right. The fried rice is distinct, and the tomato sauce is perfectly seasoned—sweet and sour, with just the right consistency. It's even runny..."

He paused, looking at the flowing golden color, "Impeccable."

She was so happy that she almost spun in circles. She suppressed her excitement and quickly got herself a set of tableware (she had reserved half of the ingredients for herself to practice, and the rest was for her brother), and sat opposite him.

"Brother, you don't know how many times I have failed!" She cut a piece of omelet rice for herself and couldn't wait to share it.

"The egg skin always breaks, or it's too thick and turns into an omelet... The fried rice is either too soggy or too dry... The ketchup is either tasteless or sour..."

She kept on recounting the "blood and tears" of the past, but her little face was filled with pride of success.

"I followed the instructions exactly today! I didn't dare to be careless at any step! The spiciness from chopping onions made me cry, my hands were sore from beating the eggs, and my palms were sweaty from nervousness when I was rolling the egg crust..."

Jin Chanyun listened quietly, his eyes fixed on her cheeks flushed with excitement and her sparkling eyes.

He could imagine the little girl busy and persevering in the kitchen.

He picked up a piece of rice covered with sauce and handed it to her mouth: "Thank you for your hard work, little chef. Come, taste the fruits of your own victory."

An Nuo was stunned for a moment, then opened his mouth and accepted his brother's "feeding".

Really... it's delicious! Even better than the one she remembered from the restaurant she went to!

"Delicious!" she exclaimed incoherently, her eyes narrowed into crescents in happiness.
