Ye Qingliu walked to the edge of the pool, squatted down, and dipped his fingers into the cool water, feeling the temperature and strength of the water.
He glanced around, taking in the surroundings of the pool—the distribution of rocks, the depth of the current, the vegetation along the shore. His gray-blue eyes were calm, as if assessing some potential variable.
Mu Xinrong took a bite of the energy bar and looked at the water in the pond eagerly: "Qingliu, this water looks so comfortable! Can we go in and swim for a while?"
"Okay." Ye Qingliu stood up, still observing, "Pay attention to the safe area, don't get close to the deep water area and the whirlpool at the outlet. Youye, keep an eye on him."
He raised his chin towards the water outlet, where the water was swirling, creating a visible suction force.

Mu Xinrong got permission, cheered, and quickly took off his shoes, socks and trousers. Wearing only his swimming trunks, he jumped into the pool impatiently.
The cold water made him shiver, and then he laughed heartily: "It feels so good!"
Water splashed everywhere. Chao Youye also took off her shoes, socks and outer clothes, revealing her smooth upper body.
He jumped into the water swiftly without making much splash, and like a silent fish, he quickly swam to Mu Xinrong, keeping a distance neither too far nor too close, his eyes never leaving the figure splashing and playing in the water.
Ye Qingliu did not enter the water. He walked to the edge of the pool and sat on a protruding rock with the best view, his back straight.
The sunlight fell on him, outlining his cold silhouette. He took out his phone and glanced at the signal bar - only a weak one remained.
He frowned slightly, then opened an encrypted communication app and tapped the screen quickly a few times, as if sending location information.
After doing all this, he put away his phone and cast his gaze towards the two people playing in the pool. The ripples reflected in his gray-blue eyes, and he remained calm.
The mountain breeze rustled through the treetops, bringing a rustling sound that blended with Mu Xinrong's cheerful laughter and the sound of rushing water. Time seemed to slow down beside the cool pool.
