Chapter 83 Library

Chao Youye looked at Mu Xinrong's beaming face and suddenly leaned close to his ear and asked, "So, tell me, are we a good match?"

Mu Xinrong's ears instantly turned red: "Why, why are you suddenly saying this..."

"Because..." Chao Youye deliberately stretched out her tone, her fingers gently stroking the back of Mu Xinrong's neck, "Someone was so engrossed in watching other people's love affairs that she forgot she had a boyfriend too."

Mu Xinrong's face flushed red. He looked around frantically, afraid to be heard. "This is the library!"

"So?" Chao Youye raised an eyebrow, a mischievous smile in his eyes, "Who said we should ship this couple?"

"I, I was..." Mu Xinrong stammered, then suddenly had an idea. "Oh, right! Aren't we here to borrow physics reference books? We haven't finished our homework yet!"

Chao Youye looked at her boyfriend's awkward attempt to change the subject and couldn't help but laugh out loud: "Okay, I won't tease you anymore."

He stood up and pulled Mu Xinrong up with him, "But..."

"But what?" Mu Xinrong looked at him warily.

Chao Youye suddenly leaned closer and whispered in Mu Xinrong's ear, "No one will disturb us during our evening tutoring."

Mu Xinrong's face flushed all the way to his neck. He hurriedly picked up a few books and ran to the lending desk, almost bumping into the bookshelf again.

"Slow down." Chao Youye followed behind slowly, eyes full of pampering, "I won't eat you."

"Who, who is scared!" Mu Xinrong said stubbornly, but she didn't dare to look back at her boyfriend's expression.

When the two of them walked to the reading desk, they happened to pass by the seats of Ye Qingliu and Bai Zhiye. Mu Xinrong subconsciously lowered his footsteps and deliberately coughed at Youye.

"Ah!" Bai Zhiye sat up suddenly like a frightened rabbit, while Ye Qingliu calmly withdrew his hand and looked at the two of them expressionlessly.

"Borrow a book?" Ye Qingliu's voice was as calm as ever, as if the person who had been gently coaxing him just now was not him.

"Yeah." He nodded to Youye, glanced between the two of them, and raised the corner of his mouth slightly, "Sorry to bother you."

Mu Xinrong hid behind Chao Youye, secretly winked at Bai Zhiye, and mouthed: "Come on!"

Bai Zhiye's face instantly turned red like a ripe apple, and she wished she could find a hole in the ground to crawl into.

After leaving the library, Mu Xinrong finally couldn't help laughing out loud: "Hahaha, did you see Lin Naizi's expression? It's so cute!"

Chao Youye shook her head helplessly: "You..."

"What's wrong with me?" Mu Xinrong puffed up her cheeks in dissatisfaction. "I'm supporting them!"

"Yes, yes, yes." Chao Youye responded lovingly, and suddenly put her arm around Mu Xinrong's shoulders. "But now, it's time to care about your boyfriend's feelings, right?"

Mu Xinrong blinked, then suddenly stood on tiptoe and kissed Chao Youye on the face: "Is this enough?"

Chao Youye was stunned for a moment, then laughed: "Just barely passing."

"Then what does it take to get full marks?" Mu Xinrong asked with his head tilted.

Chao Youye didn't answer, but took his hand and interlocked their fingers: "That's good."

The sunlight stretched the two people's shadows very long and overlapped them.

At this moment, in the corner of the library, Ye Qingliu was pushing the newly reorganized pencil case to Bai Zhiye. There was an extra line of small words on the pencil:

I'll continue teaching you tomorrow, little fool.
