Chapter 90 Reminiscing the Past

Feng Qingyao's life seemed to have died at the age of 18, and at the age of 23 she lived in pain every day.

She seemed unable to get out of his world.

She was exactly 19 years old that year.

As night fell, all was quiet, with only the occasional sound of the wind, which seemed to convey an endless sorrow. Feng Qingyao once again stepped into the cram school where they had first met. She sat alone at the seat filled with memories.

The wind quietly slipped through the half-open window, bringing a hint of coolness, which was completely different from the hustle and bustle of the day.

The wind is gentle and somewhat mysterious. It blows between the tables and chairs, turning the pages of unclosed books, as if reading the dreams and youth left on the pages.

The curtains swayed gently in the wind, and moonlight filtered through the gaps, spilling onto the floor, creating mottled light and shadows that danced with the rhythm of the wind.

The wind seemed to carry the whisper of leaves outside the window and the occasional calls of night birds in the distance, adding a bit of liveliness and imagination to this quiet classroom.

But already...

Everything around her seemed to be frozen in time, leaving only her and that painful memory.

The light was dim, shining on her pale face. Feng Qingyao's eyes were empty and confused, as if she had lost all focus. Her hands were tightly hugging her knees, and her body was trembling slightly, as if resisting the chill that surged from the bottom of her heart.

Those painful memories came flooding back like a tide, and the scenes replayed in Feng Qingyao's mind. She seemed to see the young man in the white shirt walking towards her.

"It's raining outside."

He said to her while holding an umbrella.

But the boy who silently held an umbrella for her on that rainy day was no longer by her side.

Tears welled up in Feng Qingyao's eyes, but they didn't fall. She seemed to have gotten used to this kind of pain, used to facing this unspeakable sadness alone on countless nights.

Feng Qingyao tried to escape, tried to forget, but those memories were like a brand deeply engraved in her heart and could not be erased.

In this scene full of painful memories, Feng Qingyao seemed to be imprisoned in an endless abyss, unable to escape or let go.

When she was 22 years old, Feng Qingyao was taken to a small dark room. The light above her head flickered, and she was tied tightly to a chair.

"Hello~ My name is Jiang Zhengwan."

The person who greeted her was the young man she had rescued.

"What kind of place is this? I saved you. How could you treat your savior like this?"

She said confidently.

"I'm repaying you for saving my life. Welcome to the Supernatural Management Bureau."

"Superpower Management Bureau..."

She chewed over these words over and over again, wanting to die.

Something I've never heard of...

"How could you drag me into this?"

"If I don't pull you into the water, how are you going to get ashore?"

"Would you like to join here and start a new life?"

"I refuse."

Feng Qingyao answered straightforwardly.

"Are you really going to refuse, Miss Qingyao?"

Feng Qingyao was about to speak when she found a man in a suit next to her with a gun against her head.

Family members, who understands! This is a naked threat!

"Brother, let's talk things over nicely, not with words. Isn't that enough if I agree?"

This is Feng Qingyao who wants to cry but has no tears.

She seemed to have really nothing left. If this was her final destination, then she might as well stay and give it a try.

In the ever-moving torrent of time, she will continue to move forward, carrying with her the promise they once made.
