Extra 10: Senior Travel Group (Part 2)

The tour guide was holding a loudspeaker, working hard to organize the table arrangements and distribute meal coupons, and was sweating profusely.

"Master Wang! Your table of ten is full! Aunt Li, please go to the next table!"

"Uncle Zhang! Your table is still short of one person! Wait a moment!"

"Auntie! Here's the meal coupon! Use the coupon to get your meal!"

"Everyone, please be patient! Come in order! Don't crowd!"

There was chaos in the hall.

Some tables had insufficient patrons, so the dishes seemed oversized; some tables had twelve or thirteen people crammed in, and it was clearly not enough to eat.

There were also elderly people who couldn't find their table number and were running around with their meal coupons; waiters carrying steaming hot plates had to struggle to make their way through the crowded crowd, facing many dangers.

Sun Guixiang pulled Ye Qingliu and stood in a slightly crowded corner, looking at the chaotic scene in front of them, with a hint of helplessness and worry in her turbid eyes.

At this moment, Ye Qingliu, who had been silently observing the center of the chaos, quickly swept his eyes across the entire hall.

He tilted his head slightly and whispered to Sun Guixiang, who was standing on tiptoe beside him, trying to see the situation clearly. His voice was still cold and calm, but it had a strange penetrating power:

"Mother-in-law, have the tour guide assign them this way: Table one, seven people, first left at the food counter; Table two, full of ten people, third right at the food counter; Table three, nine people, one more person will move to table four, second right at the food counter; Table four, originally eight people, one more person will move to table four, second left at the food counter... Optimize the waiter movement, circulate counterclockwise to avoid conflict points..."

He gave out more than a dozen instructions in one breath. His speech was not fast, but his organization was extremely clear and his logic was terrifyingly strict.

Every table number, number of people, location, and food pickup point are accurately allocated, and even how the waiters can move around to avoid congestion most efficiently is planned.

Sun Guixiang was stunned when she heard this, and then her cloudy eyes suddenly lit up.

Without the slightest hesitation, she straightened her hunched back, took a deep breath, and with all her might, shouted at the anxious tour guide, who was surrounded by the crowd, "Guide Liu! Listen to the kids! Divide the portions according to what he says! Quick!"

Her hoarse but extremely firm voice was like a thunderclap, instantly drowning out the noise in the hall.

Everyone was stunned, and their eyes turned to Sun Guixiang in the corner and the cold and tall figure beside her.

The tour guide Xiao Liu was also confused and subconsciously looked at Ye Qingliu.

Ye Qingliu's face was expressionless, he just stared back at him calmly with his gray-blue eyes, nodded slightly, and motioned him to do as he was told. There was an unquestionable certainty in his eyes.

Xiao Liu didn't know where he got the courage from. Perhaps it was because that look was too convincing, or perhaps it was because the chaotic situation left him with no choice.

He immediately picked up the loudspeaker, took a deep breath, and loudly repeated the plan that Ye Qingliu had just dictated, which was so accurate that it was outrageous:

"Everyone, be quiet! Listen to my instructions! Table one! Seven people! Please line up at the first counter on the left to receive your food immediately!"

"Table two! Full of ten! Third pick-up slot on the right!"

"Auntie Liu from table three! You and your spouse, please move to table four! Yes! Table four is the second pick-up area on the right!"

"Attention waiters! Start from the left and serve the dishes in counterclockwise order! Avoid the middle aisle!"

The clear instructions were like a magic needle that stabilized the chaotic hall and instantly gave it a backbone.

Although the elderly were still a little confused, they had a clear direction and immediately began to follow the instructions. Those who couldn't find their table found it, and those with uneven seating were adjusted. The waiters also had a clear route.

In less than five minutes, the chaotic scene, which was almost on the verge of quarreling, became orderly.

Everyone found their seats and lined up. Waiters carrying plates of dishes moved around smoothly, and plates of steaming, fragrant farm dishes were quickly served to the table.

When everyone finally sat down in their seats and looked at the sumptuous dishes in front of them, the whole hall erupted in warm applause and cheers.

"It's amazing! It's really amazing!"

"This kid is amazing! He's like a little Zhuge Liang!"

"That's great! It's not crowded anymore! And the food is served quickly!"

"Sister Sun! Your child is a genius!"

The old people looked at Ye Qingliu with eyes full of undisguised admiration, gratitude and love, and they almost regarded him as their savior.

The fat auntie excitedly shouted across the table: "Little boy! Come to our table! Auntie will pick up a big chicken drumstick for you!"

Tour guide Xiao Liu wiped the sweat from his forehead, walked over to Sun Guixiang's table, and bowed deeply to Ye Qingliu, his face full of gratitude and admiration: "Thank you so much! Really! If it weren't for you, I would have been in a mess today! Your brain... is really amazing!"

Ye Qingliu just sat quietly beside Sun Guixiang, as if the order to turn the tide just now did not come from his mouth.

Faced with the tide of praise and gratitude, his face remained expressionless. He simply picked up his chopsticks and looked at the plate of stir-fried seasonal vegetables in front of him, as if analyzing its nutritional composition.

Sun Guixiang, however, was grinning from ear to ear. While putting food into Ye Qingliu's bowl, she waved her hands at the people around her: "Nothing, nothing! We kids just love to think! Eat quickly! The food is getting cold!"

The tender green of the stir-fried seasonal vegetables, reflected in the depths of his gray-blue eyes, seemed to have a little more vivid luster than usual.

The afternoon of the last day of the trip was free time. Most of the elderly chose to drink tea, play cards, chat, and enjoy their leisure time in the teahouse provided by the scenic area.

Sun Guixiang was also a little tired, so she sat on a rattan chair to rest.

Ye Qingliu obviously had no interest in the card table or the noisy teahouse. He walked alone along a secluded path behind the teahouse, heading towards a slope of wild flowers deep in the valley.
