Sun Guixiang had a hunched back and was wearing an old dark gray cotton jacket that was washed white and had frayed cuffs. She had an equally old navy blue headscarf wrapped around her head.
She held the hand of the person next to her tightly, her skinny fingers carrying an unquestionable protective power. She took every step carefully, for fear of slipping.
And beside her——
All the light between heaven and earth seemed to be focused on that figure.
The blue and white short cotton jacket has a pure sky blue background like a clear sky washed by snow, and its fluffy and soft texture outlines the boy's tall yet slim figure.
In the center of the clothes, the cute puppy's head, with a round nose and drooping ears, is carefully outlined with white fluff. It has a childish look, but strangely, it does not feel cheap at all. Instead, it looks like a carefully designed work of art.
A light blue cashmere scarf was loosely wrapped around her slender neck, tied in a warm knot, and the hanging ends swayed gently with her steps.
The most eye-catching thing is the fluffy white melon-shaped hat.
The fluffy and soft white imitation rabbit fur is thick and warm, and the brim of the hat is rolled with a darker beige velvet edge, like the purest cloud, gently wrapping his delicate head.
Under the brim of the hat, thin-rimmed silver glasses were perched on a tall, straight nose. The gray-blue eyes behind the lenses were like a frozen lake in Siberia, clear, deep, and without a trace of ripples, calmly gazing at the snow-covered path ahead.
The delicate jawline, the tightly pursed thin lips, the cold white skin almost glowing with a luminous light against the backdrop of the snow and the fluffy white hat.
The childlike blue and white puppy costume not only did not diminish his innate coldness and loneliness, but instead acted like a wonderful filter.
The divine beauty that transcends the world in him melted into an almost demonic purity, fragility and an unconscious, heart-throbbing loveliness.
Sun Guixiang pulled him and walked in the snow-covered alleys, taking one step deep and one step shallow.
In her cloudy eyes, there was only the road ahead and the child she was holding tightly in her hand. She was completely unaware of the huge storm this pair of people had caused in the snowy scene of this dilapidated old city.
At the corner of the alley, Lao Wang was guarding his iron bucket of roasted sweet potatoes. The charcoal fire in the bucket was red, emitting an enticing sweet aroma.
He was rubbing his hands and stamping his feet, looking at the sparse passers-by with boredom.
When Sun Guixiang appeared at the entrance of the alley pulling Ye Qingliu, Lao Wang's cloudy eyes instantly widened!
The tongs in his hand fell to the ground with a clang!
His mouth is wide open enough to fit an egg!
What did he see?!
Is that... is that a fairy child who walked out of a New Year picture? Or is it some big star filming a movie?
That face, that figure, that temperament... Lao Wang has lived for most of his life and has never seen such a good-looking person on TV!
But...but why is this fairy boy wearing such...such an adorable puppy outfit? And a fluffy white hat?
The visual impact brought by the strong contrast made Lao Wang's brain crash.
He stared blankly at the exquisite blue and white figure being pulled by the hunched Sun Guixiang and approaching step by step.
He even forgot to greet the customers and just stared blankly until the two men walked past him, leaving behind two clear footprints and a clear, clean smell that did not belong to roasted sweet potatoes.
"Oh my God..." Old Wang muttered to himself after a while before he found his voice again. He bent down to pick up the fire tongs, his eyes still following the figure that disappeared into another alley.
"Where did Old Lady Sun pick up this magical doll? And she's dressed like... like a New Year's picture doll..."
After passing through a narrow alley, there is the entrance to a courtyard where seven or eight families live.
Several aunts and grandmas, wrapped up tightly and chatting with their sleeves rolled up, were gathered there, discussing this year's snow and vegetable prices.
When Sun Guixiang appeared in their sight with Ye Qingliu, it was like dropping a drop of water into boiling oil!
All the discussions stopped abruptly!
Seven or eight pairs of eyes, filled with incredible shock, amazement, and curiosity, all focused on the blue and white figure!
The air seemed to freeze for a few seconds.
"Oh... Oh my God!" A fat aunt was the first to react. She took a deep breath and forgot to eat the melon seeds in her hand.
"Whose child is that? He's...so handsome, isn't he?!"
"Oh my God! Is this a real person? She's prettier than a movie star!" Another tall and thin aunt's eyes widened and her voice rose eight octaves.
"Look at that pale face! Those eyes! Oh my goodness... is this really the kind of person that can be raised in our area?" A gray-haired aunt exclaimed in amazement, her eyes full of disbelief.
Their gazes were like searchlights, scanning Ye Qingliu from head to toe, meticulously—his exquisite features, his cool and aloof demeanor, and the adorable blue and white puppy coat and fluffy white hat that formed the ultimate contrast with his demeanor...
"Hey, look! What's that he's wearing? Puppy clothes? And it's weird... weirdly cute!"
The fat aunt's attention finally shifted from her face to her clothes, her tone filled with surprise and a hint of cuteness.
"It's Sun Guixiang who's pulling her! Old Mrs. Sun!" The tall and thin aunt was even more shocked when she recognized the hunched Sun Guixiang.
"When did she have a grandson this big? And... so handsome?!"
“It’s not like hers… It’s so grand…” The gray-haired aunt shook her head, her eyes still full of amazement and inquiry.
