Chapter 70 Confessing the Entity
“This handsome guy…” someone said demurely.
Lu Xiwen almost lifted his phone off the ground, thinking that most romance and art films these days were pretty idiotic, and only big-budget space movies were worth watching. So he casually replied, "What's up?"
The other person seemed a little hesitant. "Would it be convenient for you to give me your contact information?"
"inconvenient."
The other party fell silent instantly. After considering the overall reputation, Lu Xiwen finally chose the interstellar science fiction theme. There was a large movie theater nearby, so he could take Pei Wu there. There wouldn't be many people at the early showing, so he wouldn't disturb their kiss.
"Handsome, are you an Omega yet?"
Lu Xiwen finally raised his head: "Do I look like someone who doesn't exist?"
"..."
The Omega he was talking to looked to be in his early twenties. Even through his sunglasses, he could sense the Alpha's sharp gaze and instantly concluded that although the Alpha was exceptional, he was simply too difficult to control.
"Isn't it your turn yet?" Pei Wu stepped forward.
He tilted his head slightly, his gaze carrying a scrutinizing quality.
It turns out that even the best needs the best to match. Omega's expression instantly cleared. "Excuse me." After saying that, he turned around and strode away.
“My turn is coming soon,” Lu Xi said. “It tastes like coconut milk.”
"Um."
Once Pei Wu was back in the car, Lu Xiwen finally realized what was going on. "Huh? Isn't it perfectly obvious to him whether we've arrived or not?"
Um?
...
Hehehe!
Lu Xiwen returned with a coconut milk ice cream, her heart brimming with joy.
Knowing that Pei Wu was shy, he didn't mention it. After Pei Wu took a couple of bites and showed little interest, he took the shaved ice and finished it off in a few bites. "It's so-so. There's too much shaved ice, and it tastes like artificial sweetener."
“Yes,” Pei Wu said, “It’s overdone.”
“Most trendy products these days are like this,” Lu Xiwen said. “I’ve booked tickets; we’re going to see a movie.”
Pei Wu was quite satisfied with the arrangement. "I'll do as you say."
Before the movie started, Lu Xiwen bought a popcorn and soda combo. He had no expectations for the movie, but he was pleasantly surprised. Pei Wu enjoyed the movie, though he had to deal with Lu Xiwen's kisses from time to time.
There was a crucial point they almost missed, so Pei Wu gently pressed her lips to Lu Xiwen's.
Lu Xi chuckled and then approached again a few minutes later.
A desperate sigh came from behind him. Lu Xiwen turned around and asked with concern, "What's wrong, buddy?"
My friend didn't say anything and stormed off after the movie ended.
The movie wasn't long, and the two strolled back to the hotel, arriving at just 12:30.
Pei Wu was tidying up the table when Lu Xiwen went to open the door when the doorbell rang.
Guan Yan yawned, his eyes still half-open, "So, how about I take you out for some fun this afternoon? Last night, Boss Su introduced all sorts of grotesque guys. I know a place with male models..."
Guan Yan's voice stopped abruptly, and his eyes widened instantly.
"Uh... I'm going back to sleep for a bit."
"Guan Yan," Lu Xiwen said with a forced smile, "I trusted you so much, and this is how you repay me?"
Guan Yan: "I was just venting."
It was no use. Lu Xiwen caught him red-handed and kept nagging him throughout lunch, leaving Guan Yan's head buzzing.
On the return flight, Pei Wu would sit in the middle to mediate.
"Your mouth could generate wind power if you put a wheel on it, Mr. Lu! Lu Xiwen! You can't even handle a business trip? Sigh, back when Cao Guan was in college, he had an Omega boyfriend, and you sat on the sofa like you were all high and mighty, saying that pheromone communication was just a sign of intellectual depravity. What, are you now hopelessly addicted to Pei Wu's lisianthus scent?" Guan Yan sat up and launched into his tirade.
“Because of boomerangs, because I like them, so what? But is that your reason for betraying your brothers?” Lu Xiwen said emphatically. “You’d better never have an Alpha in your life.”
Guan Yan snorted coldly and straightened his clothes: "Then I'm afraid you'll be disappointed, but any Alpha who enters my Guan family must follow my orders and know who you, Lu Xiwen, are."
"Wait a minute." Pei Wu interrupted, "Fruit juice, soda, tea, coffee, would you like a cup now?"
“I won’t drink!” Lu Xiwen continued flipping through the bill.
Pei Wu gave up. He had gotten up early today and was a little sleepy. He put on an eye mask. Both Lu Xiwen and Guan Yan's voices were quite pleasant and quickly became background noise. Pei Wu occasionally commented on their remarks in his mind, and then fell into a deep sleep.
As soon as the plane landed, Guan Yan disappeared without a trace.
Pei Wu remembered that Kuang Junmeng had said that the two of them had been bickering since they were young, so she didn't take it to heart. After returning to Yunlu Bay, Pei Wu first organized all the documents. She was so busy that it was already evening. Her aunt had prepared dinner, a table full of home-style dishes.
The taste was quite good, but the sweet and sour fish didn't suit Lu Xiweng's taste, so he only ate half of it.
As night fell, Pei Wu was naturally led into the master bedroom by Lu Xiwen.
After taking a shower, Pei Wu stood by the window, looking at the outline of the continuous mountain peaks in the distance in the darkness.
"What are you thinking about?" Lu Xiwen's voice rang out from behind him.
"It's been so long since I've seen Tuanzi," Pei Wu sighed. "Spring has arrived; it shouldn't be on the mountain anymore."
Whenever Pei Wu turned around, she would see Lu Xiwen's guilty expression.
Lu Xiwen didn't reply, turned around to pour water, and after finishing the whole glass, Pei Wu was about to go to bed when he suddenly asked, "You want to see Tuanzi?"
Pei Wu, not understanding, nodded.
Lu Xiwen's expression was strange and hesitant. After a moment, he said seriously, "Pei Wu, if I'm hiding anything from you, it must be something that goes beyond reason. I'm worried about scaring you, so please don't get angry."
Pei Wu wasn't buying it: "Whether it's beyond reasonable is for me to judge. Tell me, what are you hiding from me?"
Lu Xiwen didn't say anything; he simply raised his right hand slightly.
White fluorescence seemed to emanate from Alpha's fingertips. Pei Wu composed herself, thinking she was seeing things. Following the fluorescence, it gathered and took shape, then lightly leaped into the air. When she landed on the bed, she was a fluffy ball. The next second, a head peeked out from the white fur, with familiar triangular ears and pale golden pupils, and excitedly let out a "woof" at Pei Wu.
Pei Wu didn't even bother with Tuanzi, but looked at Lu Xiwen and tentatively asked, "Magic?"
“No,” Lu Xiwen said. “This is my pheromone entity.”
Um?
Pei Wu moved closer, and Tuanzi jumped directly into his arms.
Pei Wu rubbed and rubbed it. It was indeed the dumpling she knew. No wonder she liked it so much at first sight. Back then, it was a Beta and its perception was not enough. Now, the dumpling had a distinct scent of Lu Xiwen's pheromones.
"I knew it! It never takes a bath, how come it's always so clean?" Pei Wu rubbed it vigorously.
Lu Xiwen took Pei Wu's computer and quickly finished his work. "A physical copy isn't needed."
"It must be so much fun to have such a cute little thing as a companion, right?"
Lu Xiwen closed his laptop, thought for a moment, and then said, "The first time you saw it was also the first time it appeared after the differentiation ended. It didn't exist for more than ten years in between."
Pei Wu looked at the man.
"Scared, aren't you?" Lu Xiwen said casually. "Back then, when we were experimenting with electric shocks, it was mainly this that was being shocked."
Anger welled up in Pei Wu's heart.
