Du Yunying pulled her along, "Don't waste your energy. When the emergency call sounds, we have to assemble as soon as we step out the door. They've all left already, so you'll just be wasting your time looking for them."
“It’s snowing outside. What if I slip and fall? How am I going to explain this to my son-in-law?”
"Your belly is already so big now, don't be stubborn."
In that case, even if she goes out, she won't be able to find anyone, so she'd better not go out and cause trouble.
"I hope they're alright."
"It'll be alright. Your dad and your man are top-notch fighters, so don't worry about it."
"Let's hurry back to our rooms and get some sleep."
Su Ying turned her head in surprise, "Aren't you going back?"
"Why go back? Being alone will make you overthink, especially after you get pregnant, you'll have so many things on your mind."
"So what do you want?"
"I'll stay with you."
Su Ying looked at her in disbelief. She had never slept in the same bed with her when they were little. She said that she had grown up and now she was eagerly coming to sleep with her.
Women are indeed difficult creatures to understand.
"It's not that you don't want to share your bed with others and prefer to sleep alone."
Du Yunying recalled how Qin Fang had secretly climbed into her bed some time ago.
At first, Qin Fang would kick someone out of bed, but through his persistent efforts, the two have gotten used to each other.
She also gave half of her bed to Qin Fang.
It should be okay for me to sleep in the same bed as my daughter now.
"Times have changed, otherwise where would the child in my belly have come from?"
Su Ying pouted, "Shameless."
"What's there to be ashamed of? Isn't this normal interaction after marriage?"
Su Ying blushed at his words, "Go to sleep quickly."
The two were woken up by the noise and, not feeling sleepy, lay in bed chatting and chatting until they fell asleep without realizing it.
The next morning, the two got up and stared blankly at the ingredients in the kitchen.
"How do we do this?"
Du Yunying looked completely bewildered. "I don't know what to do either."
"Didn't you spend some time as someone's wife, taking care of a disabled person? Didn't you learn how to cook?"
"The moment I was reborn, I had already been kicked out of my husband's family home. My family took me back and sold me for a profit. How could I possibly know how to do any housework?"
"Then what should we do?"
"Didn't I see you helping your son-in-law in the kitchen the other day? You seemed quite skilled."
"These two fish shouldn't be difficult for you, right?"
Su Ying frowned and looked Du Yunying up and down. "Do you want to eat fish soup noodles?"
"Yes."
"Aren't you allergic to the smell of fish? You vomited after just one whiff."
"I had an upset stomach that day, so you thought I threw up because of the smell of fish. I love eating fish."
"What?" Su Ying couldn't believe it.
I thought we wouldn't be able to eat together, but it turns out she really loves fish.
"Go outside and wait there. Don't get in my way. I should be able to make fish soup noodles."
"Alright. The battlefield is yours to handle. Whether I get to eat or not depends on you."
Su Ying felt immense pressure instantly. She had only ever watched Gu Sinian cook; she had never cooked herself before.
If she weren't afraid of arousing suspicion, she would definitely have taken out a big meat bun from her spatial storage and eaten breakfast, but she couldn't now.
It's just making fish soup noodles. She's seen Gu Sinian make it so many times that she's got the hang of it in her head, and she's also quite good at it herself.
I should be able to make a good bowl of fish soup noodles.
Su Ying followed Gu Sinian's steps to make noodles. How did she make fish again?
Each time, Gu Sinian would simply put the fish in and cook it over high heat until it was done, then continue simmering until the soup turned milky white, at which point the job was complete.
Su Ying put the two fish from the bucket directly into the pot; catching fish is a skill in itself.
She couldn't catch them, so she could only pour them directly into the pot with a bucket. The fish were jumping and wriggling in the pot.
Su Yingli put the lid on the pot.
Why does the fish jump around when she cooks it, even when she turns the heat up high?
This scene didn't happen when Gu Sinian put the fish in.
You stinky fish, even you're bullying me.
Afraid the fish would escape, Su Ying pressed the lid down hard, worried that if the fish escaped, the soup wouldn't be able to be made.
After holding the lid down and cooking for about five minutes, things took a turn for the worse: the fish stopped moving and must have died.
Su Ying secretly breathed a sigh of relief; the fish finally lay obediently in the pot, waiting for her to cook it.
Gu Sinian once said that fish soup should be simmered on high heat for half an hour, then simmered on low heat for ten minutes before it's ready to serve.
Looking at my watch, it's eight o'clock in the morning. After about half an hour, turn the heat down to low and cook for another ten minutes, then add the noodles and cook for another five minutes. Add some salt, and it's done!
Looking forward to eating fresh fish soup noodles, Su Ying felt a surge of accomplishment.
It's really not easy to eat noodles that you made yourself.
Cooking doesn't seem so difficult after all.
Making soup is easier.
Du Yunying stood at the door watching Su Ying calmly watch her cook.
There was no burnt smell as she had imagined, nor any dramatic frantic activity; she was pleased to see him looking so confident.
Her daughter is more successful than her.
I learned how to cook.
The son-in-law is a good teacher.
When your son-in-law comes back, you should thank him properly. He must have put in a lot of effort to teach a kitchen novice how to cook.
Otherwise, the mother and daughter would starve to death.
He watched Su Ying's retreating figure with a pleasant mood, but the longer it went on, the more uneasy he felt.
Why does she smell a disgusting odor? Is there something wrong with her nose?
The longer she waited, the more unpleasant the smell became. She, who was not usually disgusted by the fishy smell, vomited.
It smells disgusting.
It smelled like fish a moment ago, but as time went on, the smell became increasingly unpleasant.
She couldn't stand it.
She ran into the bathroom, vomiting up almost all the bile in her mouth.
Su Ying stood on the stove looking at the fish soup in the pot. The color and taste were different from the one Gu Sinian cooked.
Gu Sinian cooked a milky white fish soup, but it turned into a dark, murky mess with an unpleasant smell, making her vomit.
He ran to the kitchen door, but it was too late to go to the bathroom. He vomited violently right there at the kitchen door.
It smells disgusting.
How could it have turned out like this?
The process is exactly the same, so why has everything changed?
Looking at her own fair and delicate hands, she wondered if she really wasn't suited for cooking.
After vomiting violently, Su Ying returned to the kitchen. The valve she had just closed prevented the fish soup from wafting out again.
She felt much better.
I forced myself to open the pot lid, and the smell wafting out was truly nauseating. If I cooked noodles in this stuff, I'd probably die.
She wouldn't dare.
Take the contents of the pot out and dump them into the trash can, then rinse the blackened contents of the pot with water.
No matter how many times she wiped it, the unpleasant smell persisted.
She can't eat anything cooked in this pot.
I took out another pot from my space. I didn't dare put anything in it now, so I just filled it with some water, boiled it, added noodles, cooked it for another ten minutes, and then added some salt.
Two bowls of vegetarian noodles were made.
