Gu Sinian was so surprised he couldn't close his mouth. In such a short time, his wife had actually learned how to cook noodles.

Gu Sinian's jealousy flared up again. "That's a rather unique way of calling him 'Little Six'."
Su Ying asked suspiciously, "Don't you all call him that in private too? Is there anything wrong with me calling him that?"
"No."
"That settles it."
Gu Sinian was feeling down and suppressed his frustration. His wife hadn't eaten yet, and he couldn't let her go hungry. She was pregnant and couldn't afford to go hungry.
"Let's eat first."
Su Ying nodded, opened the aluminum lunchbox, and couldn't help but feel a little disappointed when she saw the dishes.
Although she was prepared that the food wouldn't be very tasty, she didn't expect it to be so bland and watery; she simply couldn't eat it.
He quickly ate a few bites and closed the lunchbox. "I really can't eat anymore. I'll just have some snacks instead."
"No. You can't. Pregnant women shouldn't eat so many snacks. It's bad for their health."
"But we've almost finished eating all the cooked food in the space. With my cooking skills, I can't make anything delicious. It's not as good as a big pot of rice."

A short while later, Xiao Gang appeared before him. "Commander Gu, what are your orders?"
"Go to the state-run restaurant not far away and buy some lean meat porridge. See if they have anything else that's nutritious, and buy a couple more dishes."
Xiao Gang nodded, just about to say, "Didn't Xiao Liuzi come back from getting food?"
But when he met Commander Gu's sharp gaze, he became timid and said, "I know. I'll go right away."
Gu Sinian took out a lot of tickets and coupons from his pocket and handed them to him.
"Go early and come back early. Your sister-in-law is hungry."
"OK."
After Xiaogang left, Su Ying started chattering nonstop.
"You made Xiaogang buy so much, I can't possibly eat it all."
"Isn't there space? Just put it in there to keep it fresh. Eat it when you're hungry. My current health doesn't allow me to cook, so please bear with me for now."
“I’m not upset. The food at the state-run restaurant is delicious too.” Su Ying nodded in agreement. “And there’s space, so buying more won’t hurt.”
She had been busy all morning, traveled for so long, and even after arriving at the hospital, she still had to fend off unwanted suitors. She was really exhausted.
Before she knew it, she had fallen asleep on the edge of Gu Sinian's bed. Gu Sinian was taken aback, helped her onto the bed, and covered her with a blanket.
He just stared straight at her.
Thank goodness, I almost didn't get to see her.
In the moments before he lost consciousness, all he could think about were images of the two of them together.
He brushed a stray hair from her forehead and tucked it behind her ear. "Next time I save someone, I'll consider my own safety."
"If there's a life-threatening situation, then I won't save him, okay?"
He lowered his head and kissed those delicate lips. "Don't be angry with me anymore. I really have nothing to do with Xia Yueyue."
He didn't know what this little girl was thinking, that she would suspect him of having an affair with Xia Yueyue.
I almost laughed out of anger.
Upon hearing this, Su Ying suddenly opened her eyes, "It's alright! I'd risk my life to save her."
Gu Sinian was getting anxious, but the little girl still didn't believe him. "I saw it at the time... In a moment of panic, I just grabbed her and didn't really see whether it was a man or a woman."
"It's really unreasonable of you to put this label on me for no reason."
Seeing the man so agitated, almost aggravating his wound, one can only think that if he were interested in other women, he wouldn't have ended up alone in his past life.

"Go to sleep."
As soon as Su Ying lay down, her even breathing could be heard.
When she woke up again, the ward was filled with the aroma of food. She smelled lean meat porridge, as well as braised pork and fish.
