Chapter 209 Transferred

After spending more than half a month in the hospital, Gu Sinian finally recovered and was discharged.

A few days before the Lunar New Year, when Gu Si was able to get out of bed, he sent Xiao Gang and Xiao Qiang back to their unit. There were always two "guards" watching over them at the door, which made people uncomfortable and inconvenient.

After the two were transferred, the couple's life became much more relaxed.

Besides taking care of Gu Sinian, Su Ying would occasionally walk to the nearby department store to pass the time.

Occasionally, I would go to state-run restaurants to buy some good food, and I lived a very comfortable life.

Gu Sinian would also take the opportunity to go into the space to cook some nutritious meals, and his body recovered very quickly.

They even went to great lengths to prepare meals for Su Ying during her pregnancy.

These meals for pregnant women were all from the books found in Grandma Space's room. He read them with great interest, and they also gave him something to do to pass the time, otherwise he would have been really bored.

Gu Sinian personally gave the order that, apart from necessary inspections which had to be done at set times, he only wanted to rest during normal times and should not be disturbed by anyone.

The dean indulged him, and apart from the unavoidable morning check-up, Gu Sinian only saw a doctor when he had health problems.

The men, having finally gotten some peace and quiet and no longer as boisterous as Xia Yueyue, were brought a sense of tranquility by her sudden appearance.

With so much nourishing food in the space, his body recovered quickly.

Even the dean was puzzled. A wound that should have taken a month to heal was healed in just half a month by Commander Gu.

Young people recover quickly, especially with their wives taking meticulous care of them.

The luggage was already packed, and the dean walked in with a smile. "Commander Gu, when you go home to recuperate, remember not to lift heavy objects or do strenuous work. It would be troublesome if the wound reopened. You will need to rest for another half month before you can return to your post. Don't rush things."

Gu Sinian nodded. "I will follow the doctor's orders. Thank you, Dean."

"That's good. I won't bother you any longer. I'll go and get back to work; there are patients waiting for surgery."

"Take care, Dean."

Su Ying stepped forward and said, "Let me see the dean out."

The dean turned around. "Wait. Wait."

After the hospital director left, only Gu Sinian and Su Ying remained in the ward. Su Ying asked worriedly, "How are we going to get there later?"

"I've already made the call, someone will be here to pick me up soon."

"Then let's pack up quickly."

Gu Sinian pressed Su Ying's hand down. "Don't rush, take your time. The doctor just said I can't lift heavy things, honey?"

Su Ying smiled awkwardly. This man was as strong as an ox, but she didn't realize he couldn't lift heavy things.

"Okay. I'm not in a hurry. We'll wait here."

When the last piece of clothing was stuffed into the cloth bag, the young comrade who often picked them up appeared in the ward.

We meet again.

The young comrade saluted and said, "Commander Gu, I am here on orders to take you and your wife home to recuperate."

"Thank you. Have you had breakfast?"

The young man scratched his head sheepishly, "Not yet. I was in such a rush this morning that I didn't have time..."

Su Ying touched the bag slung across her shoulder, actually taking out the large meat buns she had bought from the state-run restaurant a few days ago from her spatial storage.

There are two steamed buns left here, have some to tide you over.

The young man happily accepted it, saying, "Thank you, sister-in-law."

In no time, the young man, probably starving, finished both large meat buns in just a few bites.

He wiped his mouth with his sleeve and, with great tact, picked up the luggage from the bed.

Actually, the bag wasn't heavy. She put all the heavy items into the bag. It was just that the man was being fussy, saying that she couldn't carry heavy things and that she should wait for someone to pick her up. She wouldn't let the bag be overweight.

She remembered exactly what the doctor said.

The three of them left the VIP ward and walked towards the hospital gate, where a conspicuous Jeep was parked.

The young man put the cloth bag into the trunk, and Gu Sinian opened the back door for his wife attentively, placing his hand on the door to prevent her from accidentally bumping her head.

Su Ying got into the car and sat down, while Gu Sinian went around to the other side, got into the back seat, and closed the door.

The young man sat in the driver's seat, pressed the accelerator, and the military green jeep sped away from the hospital entrance, heading towards the family compound.

After more than half a month of snowy days, the day they were discharged from the hospital, the sun was shining brightly, making the place feel warm and cozy.

What lovely weather!

We arrived on a snowy day with terrible weather, and we drove fast and steadily on the road where there was no snow.

It took three hours to get here, but today it only took forty minutes. I didn't realize that the military hospital's family quarters were so close; the journey was only forty minutes.

We've finally arrived.

The couple got out of the car, and the young man hurriedly opened the trunk, took out his luggage, and followed. Su Ying turned around and looked at him.

"Young man, you go ahead and get busy. My luggage isn't heavy, I can carry it myself, so I won't trouble you."

The young man weighed the bag in his hand; it wasn't heavy, and it probably only contained some clothes to change into. He handed it to Su Ying and disappeared in an instant.

Gu Sinian immediately took the cloth bag from Su Ying's hand and said, "I'll carry it. You pregnant woman, behave yourself."

Su Ying looked up at the man and asked, "Aren't you supposed to be unable to lift heavy objects?"

Gu Sinian weighed the cloth bag in his hand; it was so light it felt like it had no weight at all.

The doctor said he couldn't lift heavy objects, so the little girl put all the slightly heavy clothes into the storage space.

His wife truly felt sorry for him.

Knowing this, he felt a surge of joy and couldn't help but curl his lips into a smile.

"I know my wife loves me, and she packed all the heavy items into her storage space while packing my luggage."

Su Ying thought the man didn't know, but she didn't expect him to be so observant.
