Chapter 199 Suspicious Person

"No...don't kill me! This servant didn't mean to offend Her Majesty the Empress!" The girl was terrified and struggled wildly as Yu Qianqian held her up in mid-air.

With a momentary lapse in concentration, Yu Qianqian gripped the girl's collar from behind, loosening and tightening her grip repeatedly. Her eyes were extremely sharp; this maid's face was rarely seen in the palace, yet she recognized her at a glance. Although the scar and the mask might be a factor in her fame both in the palace and outside the palace, she felt that this matter was far more complicated than it seemed.

With a quick and ruthless pull, the girl's body slammed to the ground with a dull thud, followed by a short, trembling scream.

Because of the mountain's secluded location, few people usually come up here. In addition, the deep cliffs are surrounded by rocky peaks, providing excellent sound insulation. Therefore, Yu Qianqian could deal with this suspicious person without any worries.

"Hmph! Wuji Palace is a royal residence, not a place you can come and go as you please!" Yu Qianqian faced the girl, forcefully grabbing the girl's collar, not hitting her, but using her eyes and harsh words to intimidate her, "Tell me the truth, who ordered you to come here specifically to follow me?"

Suddenly, she tilted her head back and opened her mouth slightly. Her lips trembled, and after hesitating for a long time, she didn't say a word. Just as she turned her head, she saw Yu Qianqian decisively take another step closer.

With a flick of her wrist, her sleeves fluttered freely without wind. Yu Qianqian looked at herself, her hands trembling slightly from the anger in her heart. Finally, unable to contain herself, she raised her hand and slapped, "Smack!" The person and the phantom were immediately slammed to the ground.

"Don't want to talk?" She looked down at the girl in purple, her back bent, her words brief and sharp. "Very well, I'll throw you into jail right now and beat you until you tell the truth!"

The girl's expression hardened as she met Yu Qianqian's fierce gaze and the cold glint of the sword in her hand. Instinctively, she swiftly dodged, narrowly avoiding a fatal blow. Still shaken, she turned her gaze back to see Yu Qianqian throw a flying sword, which plunged deep into the hard cliff behind her. The rock instantly shattered, leaving a long, deep crack, but the blade remained completely undamaged.

Standing before the girl was Yu Qianqian, who held a long sword straight in her hand. Its sharp light shone brightly, revealing an unexpected ruthlessness and ferocity. This sharpness caused the surrounding area to erupt with murderous intent, like boiling black blood.

Yu Qianqian was not as weak and easily bullied as the young girl had expected. Her appearance was plain and her demeanor delicate and frail, but these were just misconceptions from the outside world.

"Your Majesty...Your Majesty, spare me!" The girl looked at her in panic, knelt down with a thud, and replied, "When I was working in the palace just now, it seemed that a masked woman knocked me unconscious. Later, when I woke up, I was here."

The echo of her voice still lingered in her ears when Yu Qianqian strode forward and pressed her forward again, demanding, "What's your name? Where do you work?"

The girl in front of her paused slightly, glancing at her helplessly. Then, a cold voice suddenly rang in her ears again: "Where is that masked man holding you hostage?"

"This servant does not know..." The girl pressed her hands to the ground, bent her knees and moved her body backward. Her gaze suddenly became unusually sharp. She glanced around at herself and then ran wildly before Yu Qianqian could intercept her. Her forehead slammed against the cliff behind her, and blood splattered everywhere in her vision. She immediately fell down.

Although she chased after her, trying to stop her from committing suicide, she was too late. After glancing at the girl who had already died, she sighed anxiously and was about to turn away when she saw a white figure getting closer and closer.

"Mo Jingnian," Yu Qianqian called out softly, standing still and waiting.
