"Crack!"
A deafening crash was heard as someone nearby slammed a longsword into the ground, followed by an even louder voice: "Guards! Capture those two alive! Do not let anything go wrong!"
The two people hiding under the bed were shocked and hugged each other. Then, they quickly rolled over and jumped out from under the bed!
"Be careful, lest you accidentally harm the princess!" The leader of the group shouted again, his voice unusually loud.
A series of cold swords hurtled towards their heads, but the assassins, obeying their leader's orders, immediately and simultaneously raised their swords in mid-air, stopping their movements in time.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, Yu Qianqian swiftly turned around with Leng Yuexi, and with a light touch of her feet, she and Leng Yuexi leaped out through the broken window, landing silently on the ground amidst the falling snow.
Leng Yuexi turned her head and stared at Yu Qianqian in disbelief and shock. She hesitated for a moment but did not speak.
Yu Qianqian met her gaze, immediately gave her a knowing look, and chuckled innocently: "Beautiful sister, you don't need to admire me too much. It's just a trivial trick!"
She spoke with what she thought was great pride, but then she saw Leng Yuexi point her jade hand to the top of the pavilion, where a large group of people were chasing after her through the window, their climbing speed no less than hers.
Seeing that the people were about to catch up, Yu Qianqian immediately turned around, grabbed Leng Yuexi's wrist, and ran away.
They fled Xingyue Tower overnight, completely unaware that they had run all the way to a deserted wilderness. When they looked back warily to make sure no one was chasing them, the two of them collapsed to the ground, panting heavily. Yu Qianqian, in particular, looked like a refugee with her disheveled hair and dirty face.
After pausing for a moment, Leng Yuexi finally looked around. Upon closer inspection, she immediately jumped up, exclaiming in alarm, "Hey! How did we end up at the border of the Purple Swallow Kingdom?!"
"The Purple Swallow Kingdom?" Yu Qianqian immediately followed her, her mouth agape in surprise, her face full of disbelief. She had just casually fled, yet she had unknowingly run so far away. It was truly a headache!
Looking around at this desolate place with no village in sight, Yu Qianqian was immediately overwhelmed with worry. She simply lay back on the ground, feeling increasingly regretful for running around recklessly in her attempt to be a hero.
Even now, she only just remembered Su Yu's existence, wondering if he might have found her way here. But in such a remote place, the chances of them meeting were probably very slim.
Just as she was lost in thought, Leng Yuexi, who was standing next to her, couldn't stand it anymore and shouted at her in an annoyed tone, "Hey! Look at what we're supposed to do now?"
Upon hearing Leng Xiyue's shout, Yu Qianqian's expression immediately changed, and she retorted in a similarly annoyed tone, "Don't ask me, how would I know what to do?"
"I don't care, you have to send me back exactly as you brought me out by tomorrow morning!" Leng Yuexi put her hands on her hips, adopting a princess-like demeanor as she reprimanded her, her attitude even more arrogant than Leng Yuexi's.
