Chapter Sixteen: Crown Prince Su Yu

"Thank you for your kind offer, Imperial Uncle." Feng Jin smiled and stood tall in place, exchanging glances with Mu Feiyu.

The room fell silent. Everyone present changed their expressions drastically. Those who had just mocked her involuntarily narrowed their eyes, especially the second young lady, Feng Yao, who had recently trampled Feng Jin underfoot. Her face immediately turned ashen, and she wished she could leave right then and there.

It's unbelievable! Ever since Feng Jin came back from the brink of death after falling into the water, she's been like a completely different person. Not only does she always try to outdo her, but she also shines brightly at such a grand occasion today. Could it be that she was just pretending to be crazy in front of others before?

Under the bright lights, Feng Jin's long hair and clothes fluttered like smoke. She smiled, her face radiant, which momentarily stung everyone's eyes.

There are always rules in sword trials, and neither side can kill the other. She calculated that Mu Feiyu would not go all out in this duel, otherwise no one could be his opponent. So after losing a move, she took the opportunity to find his weakness. The advantages and disadvantages complemented each other, and she finally won by surprise.

Mu Feiyu's eyes flickered, and she said with a half-smile, "Princess Jing is indeed a heroine among women, with extraordinary skills. I admire an opponent like you."

With a cold smile playing on her lips, Mu Feiyu snapped the golden sword shut and met Feng Jin's gaze with a cold stare. A glint of cold light seemed to emanate from her sleeve.

While everyone was still marveling at the martial arts competition, Mu Beichen suddenly leaped onto the dance floor and shielded Feng Jin behind him.

His eyes were unfathomable, impossible to see through. "Your swordsmanship has already reached its pinnacle. Don't let this mere weak woman tarnish your eyes."

“Ah Chen is too modest. Even if the sword in my hand is cold and sharp, it cannot compare to your discerning eye and skill in managing talent.”

After saying that, Mu Feiyu left with a swift and graceful gait. When he looked back at Mu Beichen for the last time, there seemed to be a turbulent undercurrent in his dark eyes.

The banquet soon came to an end, and the emperor and his concubines left their seats one after another, while the rest of the people gradually left the palace.

Feng Jin felt like she was dreaming that day. Little did she know that from then on, she would be able to frequently come into contact with these influential figures almost every day.

After being humiliated at the banquet, Feng Yao learned that the Northern You Kingdom was now almost entirely under the control of Regent Mu Feiyu. Feng Qingyun and Mu Feiyu were in cahoots, and from then on, the two stood together. As a result, Mu Qiye was able to solidify his position as a puppet emperor without any doubt.

Kyoto City remains as prosperous as ever. Today, the Star Moon Pavilion is bustling with guests and business is booming. This is because someone has spent a lot of money to obtain information that the world-renowned Crown Prince of Jiang Lan Kingdom has arrived in Kyoto City. Every man and woman in the entire pavilion is eagerly awaiting his arrival.

As soon as Feng Jin, disguised as a man, and Hua Mancheng entered, before they even sat down, they were immediately greeted by a group of brightly dressed girls.

"As far as I know, the Crown Prince of Jianglan Kingdom has already entered the capital. This is a momentous event, and you'd better not spread it around."

"Really? I've heard that Prince Su Yu of Jianglan Kingdom is an exceptional man, skilled in both literature and martial arts. If I could meet him in this lifetime, I would gladly die for him."

A strong scent of rouge and powder wafted into her nose, and Feng Jin frowned. Just as she was about to use her inner energy to push these people away, a murmur of discussion came from the side, causing the girls next to her to immediately shift their focus, which made her stumble.

Amidst the chaos, Feng Jin leaned back, only to have her waist suddenly pulled up by a pair of warm, strong hands. Startled, she jerked to her feet and looked up to meet a pair of clear, bright eyes. The man in the austere blue robe looked very familiar; it was Su Yu.

As expected, they've arrived! Feng Jin, with her back to Su Yu, chuckled inwardly.

Since the Yu family's incident, Zhao Tingxuan and Yue Lingwei have also disappeared. She came out this time to find out where her enemy was. Fate brought her to Su Yu by chance, how could she let this opportunity pass?

Feng Jin blinked her beautiful almond-shaped eyes, gave him a flirtatious wink, and smiled, "What a coincidence, I didn't expect to run into you here..."

Knowing the dire consequences of revealing her identity, Su Yu hurriedly went up and covered Feng Jin's mouth. As soon as she turned around, she was surrounded by a group of women of all kinds.

"Young master, are you here to see me at Xingyue Tower? I'm the top star here, I guarantee I can serve you to your heart's content."

"Don't listen to her nonsense. When it comes to serving people, I'm the best..."

Hua Mancheng was furious when he saw the girls rushing towards Su Yu. He was a renowned martial arts hero, yet this pretty boy had stolen his thunder. He regretted bringing Feng Jin to this godforsaken place to show off.

The women's screams caused chaos in the room, and Su Yu turned green with fright.

Seeing this, Su Yu's attendants were about to protect him and escape by holding onto the window frame, but they were forcibly pulled to two different places by the surging women.

It's no wonder Su Yu was easily entangled by these women. In fact, as soon as she discovered she was being followed, she simply decided to play along and had Hua Mancheng make arrangements at Xingyue Tower in advance.

Su Yu, what goes around comes around. This is the consequence of your harassment of me at the Holy Banquet! Feng Jin, who was sitting to the side drinking tea and watching the show, saw Su Yu's pleading eyes as she was cornered and looked at her. She put down her teacup and smiled coldly.

Anyway, all past grievances have been settled, so doing him a favor now will make it easier to ask for benefits when we meet again in the future.

"Stop it, all of you!" she shouted, instantly silencing the cacophony of the women's chatter.
