39 Facing
"Fei'er, are you alright?" His eyes were hurt, his tone was sad, and his expression was pained.
"I'm fine. But Bingzi got hurt because of me." I looked at Han Beiming. His hand, which had been outstretched to greet me, froze in mid-air, then darted back in.
Bingzi didn't speak, but as I leaned against his chest, I could clearly feel the cold aura emanating from his body.
"Thank you." Han Beiming suddenly looked at Bing Zi. "Thank you for saving Fei'er. If anything had happened to Fei'er, I would never forgive myself, even in death." There was no gratitude in his cold tone; it was more of a threat. I had a headache.
“Don’t just stand there, Fei Wu is injured too, right? Everyone should go back and recuperate. And this… Lu Buwang…” Ruo Yao looked at the ghost mask on the ground, which was already unconscious. “Perfect for taking it back for interrogation.” A smile appeared on his face.
"Fei'er." Han Beiming reached out to help me up, but I hesitated for a moment and stood up on my own. Then I slowly helped Bingzi up.
"I'll take him to heal his wounds." Han Beiming's tone was very unfriendly, and I hesitated whether to hand Bingzi over to him, who seemed to be in some danger.
"Thank you for your trouble, Palace Master Han." Bing Zi nodded generously. As they left, Bing Zi turned back and waved to me, indicating that I shouldn't worry. A quarter of an hour later, Han Beiming turned back and gave me a look that was both sad and resentful.
"Sigh~, Fei Wu's charm is truly irresistible." Ruo Yao watched the two figures disappear into the distance, letting out a heartfelt sigh. She then turned her head and gave me a knowing look. "Fei Wu is also pitiful. You're so kind, you don't want to hurt anyone, but in the end, you'll hurt both sides. It's better to make your stance clear sooner rather than later. Palace Master Han is deeply devoted, and Senior Bing Zi has risked her life for you. If it were me, I wouldn't know what to do." Ruo Yao shook her head and walked away.
I don't know either, but I do know that my heart broke when Bingzi was injured.
Forget it, let's finish this first and then talk about other things.
Interrogating prisoners isn't my forte, because I never treated him like a prisoner. He was a drug test subject, just like my mentor used me as a drug test subject back then. The law will not be forgotten; if you're the one who gets caught, consider it my bad luck, but if I were the one to get caught, you'd definitely regret it.
"He still hasn't confessed?" I yawned and looked at Ruoyao. Ruoyao had been here for several hours and had used a lot of torture on him, especially the centipede I had stolen from his own dungeon. It had left countless identical marks on his chest, thighs, back, and face. He was practically covered in wounds, but that was just the beginning.
"You do it. I'm tired." Ruoyao took a long breath, then flicked her sleeves and wiped the sweat from her forehead. That's right, lifting such a heavy iron centipede is quite a workout.
"No need." I'm rather polite, and besides, I'm quite lazy. It would be unseemly and tiring to walk around with an iron centipede.
I pulled out the stick I'd stolen on the sly, and with Ruoyao's guidance, I finally understood how to use it. It was a bit disgusting, but even so, I had to use it. ==||| However, it wasn't me who wanted to use it.
"Come in," Ruoyao said to the people at the door.
"It's up to you now," I said to Ruoyao. As expected of someone who runs a male prostitute, she's got some skills.
I glanced at the semi-conscious Lü Buwang. "Didn't you say you wanted Bing Zi? Heh, since you need her so much, I've found you a few top-quality ones. Enjoy them slowly."
"Pah!" Lu Buwang spat arrogantly. ☆Fried☆Ice Cream☆Organization☆
"Hehe." I sipped my tea, sitting in the armchair beside me, enjoying this spectacular scene. Although I felt a little disgusted, I forced myself to keep watching, because I wanted to see with my own eyes how Lu Buwang was subdued, to vent the hatred in my heart.
"Forget it, you're not suited for these things. Go and rest. I'll watch over him." Ruoyao waved her hand, looking at my furrowed brows, pale face, and trembling body. "Don't leave such an impression on your first visit, or you won't want to do it again." Ruoyao smiled. "Go see Senior Bingzi."
I smiled too, and breathed a sigh of relief.
"How are you feeling?" I gently stroked the scar on his chest. Bingzi didn't want to keep that thing, so he insisted that the doctor cut off his skin. I was terrified when I arrived. Luckily, they didn't do it, otherwise, the skin would have been beyond repair for life. Those quack doctors didn't know how to treat skin scars, so I spent a long time creating a precious wound medicine, which I slowly applied. The burned skin would gradually turn black, scab over, and peel off, and new skin would grow. I didn't want Bingzi to live with such an unsightly mark for the rest of his life, but he was a bit impatient. Now the centipede-like mark is no longer visible, there are still some black scabs, but they will disappear in a few days. I stroked it, satisfied with my masterpiece of repair. I'm still the smarter one.
"It's all fine now, why are you still so worried?" Bingzi smiled, his smile gentle. It was much better than his previous cold demeanor.
"Has Lu not forgotten to confess?" Bingzi looked at me.
I stuck out my tongue. "No." I felt a little guilty.
“Actually, if you’re willing to use the medication, he’ll confess quickly, right?” Bingzi looked at me, and I lowered my head. I nodded in agreement.
Why not use it?
"…"silence.
"Is it to help me get revenge?"
"..." Remaining silent.
“No, you could have used drugs to make him confess first, and then tortured him. But you didn’t.” Bingzi sighed.
“…Hmm.” I couldn’t meet his gaze. “I’ll give him the medicine right now.”
“Feiwu, you want to conquer him using your own methods, especially the thrill of conquest that excites you so much you can’t let go. But I don’t want you to do that, because sometimes, the thrill of conquering someone by tormenting them becomes a habit that’s hard to break,” Bingzi said earnestly. “He’s also a powerful figure. Once you’ve tormented him enough, give him a quick death.”
"Okay." I nodded. "I'll come see you again at dinner time."
Actually, there's another point I didn't tell him. It's because the Shaolin and Wudang sects consider themselves remarkably righteous. Their capture of Lü Buwang and the rescue of the tortured Fei Wu Gongzi are common knowledge in the martial world. If I told the abbot that medicine could be used to force a confession from Lü Buwang, he probably wouldn't have easily handed Lü Buwang over to Ruoyao. He might have even offered some kind of plea for mercy, like "lay down your butcher's knife and become a Buddha." If they let Lü Buwang go, I wouldn't forgive myself. Therefore, I told the abbot that since Lü Buwang had subjected me to such cruel torture, I should have my friend handle him, forcing him to reveal the secrets of the Demonic Sect—that would be one of Lü Buwang's uses. Although the abbot wasn't entirely satisfied, especially since someone as insightful as him should have seen that someone as unkind as me would surely give Lü Buwang an unforgettable experience, it's hard to argue with everyone. The others, who didn't understand, agreed that I should handle Lü Buwang, and incidentally force him to reveal the secret locations of the Demonic Sect and the people on the street. I stood before everyone, full of righteous indignation, and solemnly declared that although Lü Buwang had been unkind to me, I would not be unjust to him and would give him a swift and decisive end. Of course, only I knew exactly how decisive that would be. They wouldn't be so bored as to dig up Lü Buwang's body to judge him, would they?
Lu Buwang is doomed anyway; whether he dies sooner or later is up to me. However, I won't let him die easily. Having dealt with the Demonic Sect, the next target is Yelü Hong.
Han Beiming has been so busy dealing with the Demonic Sect and Yelü's influence lately that he's gradually forgotten about settling scores with me. However, while he's very hostile towards Bing Zi, Bing Zi is quite generous and doesn't hold grudges against him. But, being such a perceptive person, Bing Zi, though he doesn't express it, certainly wouldn't be happy to see me arm-in-arm with someone else. He's understanding of my current situation, but one day, he'll demand an answer from me.
I'm getting a headache again.
