“Alright.” Blake shrugged, quickly changing the subject. To outsiders, they seemed like a good brother and sister. Xu Lingzhao had overheard their conversation. Her gaze shifted to Blake’s back. This princess seemed harmless, but she hadn’t expected her to treat knights as her playthings behind the scenes.
Alistair stopped and said to Xu Lingzhao, "A servant will take you to the Knights' Hall in a moment."
"Yes, Your Highness." Xu Lingzhao stood there watching the group go in another direction. Palace servants came and went around her. The midday sun shone on her, and her golden pupils emitted a faint light. After a while, a servant came to her.
"My esteemed knight, I apologize for keeping you waiting. Please follow me." He didn't look up at Xu Lingzhao the entire time, but silently led the way. Xu Lingzhao didn't speak again either. The entire palace seemed to be muted until they arrived at the Knight's Hall, at which point the eerie silence disappeared.
This was the first time she had ever seen the legendary and sacred Knights' Temple. After waiting outside for a short while, someone led her into the temple.
After a series of procedures, the priest pinned the badge of the leader of the Holy Light Knights on Xu Lingzhao's chest, and the style of her knight's uniform also changed. After walking out of the Knights' Hall, she breathed a slight sigh of relief. Before he could finish speaking, he was interrupted fiercely. He sniffed and grabbed Xu Lingzhao's collar. "No, don't listen to this. You...you take off your clothes first."

Chu Jing's tense shoulders relaxed, and he closed his eyes to enjoy the Alpha's tenderness. After a long while, Xu Lingzhao released his lips and kissed him on the corner of his mouth again. "Do you feel much better?"
