Chapter 60 Castile (XI) Expressing One's Feelings
Xu Lingzhao lit the firecracker and held it in her hand. There were many loose stones on the slope, and the slope became steeper as she went down. She steadied herself and walked down. The moment the ants crawled out of the ground to attack her, she drew her sword almost as if by muscle memory and cut off its head.
Blackness often breeds fear. Xu Lingzhao looked down, and even with her excellent eyesight, she could only see the leaves swaying in the wind. In such a place, coupled with the presence of insectoids, it was a terrifying sight.

She threw down her sword, picked up a flare for light, and saw a white figure not far from the carriage. He lay alone on the ground, almost motionless. Xu Lingzhao's breath caught in her throat for a moment. She didn't care how difficult the road was or whether she would slip and fall. She just wanted to get to his side as quickly as possible.
She left Huoxinzi aside, and Xu Lingzhao carefully turned him over, put her hands under his legs to lift him up, and put her ear close to his nose. She heard faint breathing. Xu Lingzhao's heart finally relaxed a little. Thank goodness, he was still alive, still alive.
Yu Yu then pointed to a spot and said, "I know there's a cave there." Her expression was frank. Xu Lingzhao glanced at her, a hint of doubt flashing in his eyes, but the current situation did indeed require a place to settle his injuries.

Yu Yu paused for a moment. Of course, she knew Xu Lingzhao would be suspicious. Her excessive enthusiasm these days was hard not to arouse suspicion. She blurted out without thinking, "Because you saved her." Yu Yu turned to look at Xu Lingzhao and continued, "Vivi Gene is my fiancée."
This answer was unexpected by Xu Lingzhao. Everything made sense now. Why was Yu Yu so enthusiastic towards her when everyone else disliked her, and even fought alongside her? She didn't ask about her background or why she was in the Rose Knights. She just continued to follow her silently, as long as they weren't enemies.
When they arrived at the cave Yu Yu had mentioned, Xu Lingzhao saw nothing but a thick layer of ivy. Under her questioning gaze, Yu Yu raised an eyebrow at her, lifted a section of ivy, placed her hand on a rock, and gently pressed down.
On the right side of the cave, a stone door slowly opened, and Yu Yu said smugly, "Come in, this is a place I prepared long ago." Yu Yu walked into the cave, and by the light of the tinderbox, she took out a box of matches from the cabinet, struck them, and lit several oil lamps in the cave. The warm yellow light illuminated Xu Lingzhao's face.
As Yu Yu walked, she took out a medical kit and gave it to her, saying, "You should treat him quickly." After saying that, she went inside, leaving Xu Lingzhao behind. The cave was divided into two parts, with a curtain blocking the stone door in the middle.
Xu Lingzhao placed the injured Chu Jingze on the stone bed, which had a soft cushion on it. She reached out and touched his body to see if there were any fractures. When she touched his calf, Chu Jingze frowned. Fortunately, it was just a fracture in his calf. She breathed a sigh of relief.
While he was still unconscious, Xu Lingzhao grabbed his calf, twisted it forcefully, and with a cracking sound of bones dislocating, Chu Jing suddenly grabbed her hand, his eyes brimming with tears. He trembled as he said, "It hurts..."
Looking at his pitiful state, Xu Lingzhao quietly released soothing pheromones and said, "You broke your bone. I'll help you reposition it. It's okay, it doesn't hurt anymore. Let me fix it for you, alright?" Her tone was gentle as she gently sat up and pressed down on his shoulder, helping him lie back down.
Chu Jing looked at Xu Lingzhao's profile in the warm yellow light. Her profile seemed to be covered with a layer of light. Her movements were gentle and her eyes were focused. When she was thrown out of the carriage, her forehead hit a stone and her consciousness became blurred. In the darkness, he could not see anything.
A sense of desolation spread through his heart. Would he die here all alone like this? It hurt so much, it was so cold. He longed to see that knight again. Unexpectedly, his wish came true. He opened his eyes and saw her. Soothing pheromones kept entering his nostrils, wiping away his sadness, fear, and pain.
He didn't want to think about anything right now; he just wanted to look at her.
Noticing Chu Jingze's intense gaze, Xu Lingzhao paused for a moment. She looked at him and asked, "Do you want some water? Are you hungry? Let me clean your wounds first?"
A barrage of questions left Chu Jing, who had just regained consciousness, at a loss for words. He simply nodded gently, his gaze seemingly glued to her, unwilling to leave. Seeing Xu Lingzhao's dazed expression, a smile involuntarily crept onto her lips. He looked quite adorable like this.
After stabilizing the fractured lower leg, Xu Lingzhao went to a water vat, scooped up a bowl of water and picked up some bread from the side, and walked towards Chu Jingze. "Eat something first, then I'll clean your wound." She put the food aside, sat down next to him, and helped him up from the bed.
Just as she was about to pull her hand away, Chu Jing rested his head against her chest, his hand stroking her exposed neck, and she heard his slightly aggrieved voice in her ear, "Can you hug me? I'm scared."
Warm breaths sprayed onto her neck. Xu Lingzhao didn't move her hand away, but instead wrapped her arms around his shoulders. The two embraced each other intimately. The wet touch made Chu Jingze's shoulders tremble slightly, and he cried.
Xu Lingzhao had no choice but to move her hand from his shoulder to his slender waist, and wipe away his tears with her other hand, her fingertips caressing his fair and soft cheeks. She said, "Don't cry, don't cry, it's okay, don't be afraid."
The words of comfort only made him cry harder, looking like a heartbroken man. Xu Lingzhao gently lifted his chin with her hand. At this moment, the Omega's lips were slightly parted, his eyes were red from crying, and tears were hanging on his eyelashes. She leaned down and kissed his lips. Chu Jingze's pupils widened as he felt her softness.
His tears stopped, and he closed his eyes to feel the kiss. He didn't know why she was kissing him, but he really needed it.
After a long while, Xu Lingzhao released the Omega's flushed cheeks. She reached out and wiped the water from the corner of his mouth, looking into his eyes. "Stop crying? Eat something, okay?"
"Mmm." He lowered his head, shyly resting his face against her chest again, drinking the water and bread she offered. As she chewed the food, Xu Lingzhao cleaned the wound on his forehead with medicine, and she said softly, "It might hurt a little."
"Ah..." He instinctively tried to dodge, but she pressed his body down. Tears welled up in his eyes, but before they could fall, a cool sensation came from his wound.
Xu Lingzhao was blowing on his wound. She glanced down at him and couldn't help but chuckle, "So delicate." These words made Chu Jingze blush. He bit his lower lip and managed to squeeze out a few words, "No, I don't..."
"Hmm, I know, you want to say you're not delicate." Xu Lingzhao teased him, and seeing his shy look, her smile deepened. She pressed Chu Jingze back onto the bed, leaned closer to him, and the distance between them suddenly closed. She said, "You have injuries elsewhere too. Can you take off your clothes? I'll put some medicine on you, otherwise it will get worse."
There was no lust in her eyes, only worry. Chu Jing looked at her face. He was an Omega, and she was an Alpha. In his upbringing, marriage was absolutely forbidden, even though... even though 16 was the age to get engaged, but... she was just concerned about him.

She looked at the thick curtain. Yu Yu would help her, and she would help Yu Yu in return. A bold idea began to grow in her mind: she didn't want Chu Jingze to enter the palace; she didn't want others to bully him; she didn't want him to suffer.
She only wanted him to belong to her.
So what if she starts a war? She was after all looking to get revenge on the Queen.
Xu Lingzhao's movements were meticulous and gentle, but the Omega's fair skin visibly turned red. Chu Jing felt as if a soft towel had been wiping his entire body, sending shivers down his spine. The wounds were indeed no longer painful after being treated.
After a long while, Xu Lingzhao bandaged his wounds and helped him put on his clothes. Just as she was packing her medical kit, one hand grabbed her wrist.
He looked at her with misty eyes that seemed to speak volumes. Xu Lingzhao grasped his wrist and looked at him just as intently.
