Chapter 121 Yan Zheng's Home

On Sunday, Sang Tianen got up early and cleaned the house inside and out. Then she took a shower, put on some light makeup, and drove to pick up Yan Zheng.

The weather is good today, with a temperature of 35 degrees, no wind and no clouds. Apart from worrying that the tires will melt on the hot asphalt road, Sang Tianen is in a good mood overall.

When she got downstairs, she sat in the car and sent a message to Yan Zheng: "Are you ready? Come down quickly. It's so hot, I'm about to melt!"

Yan Zheng quickly ran out of the building. Today he was wearing a sleeveless white T-shirt and shorts, with a black backpack on his back. He looked very young and lively.

The car door was opened, and a wave of heat rushed in. The man happily got into the passenger seat, pulled down his seat belt and buckled it, and said to Sang Tianen with a red face, "It's so hot."

As he spoke, he unzipped his backpack and pulled out two popsicles like magic. With sparkling eyes, he handed one to Sang Tianen and asked, "Do you want some?"

Sang Tianen glanced at him sideways, his eyes falling on the chocolate-flavored ice cream in Yan Zheng's left hand. He pursed his lips and said, "I want to eat that one!"

Hearing Sang Tianen's words, Yan Zheng's hand subconsciously shrank, and a hint of reluctance appeared in his eyes.

Sang Tianen curled his lips. Love is such a fragile thing. It cannot be seen or touched, but you can perceive it through a specific object, such as a chocolate-flavored ice cream.

"Why are you shrinking? How can I snatch an ice cream from you? Look at how stingy you are." Sang Tianen reached for the vanilla ice cream in Yan Zheng's right hand in a bad mood.

Yan Zheng didn't let go. He pursed his lips and handed his favorite chocolate-flavored ice cream to Sang Tianen, saying, "Actually, they're all delicious, but if you want chocolate flavor, I'll give it to you."

Sang Tianen's eyes flashed with pride. He took the ice cream without hesitation, tore open the package under Yan Zheng's astonished gaze, licked the chocolate crust and said, "What are you looking at? Didn't you give it to me? It tastes good!"

Sang Tianen looked a bit naive, and Yan Zheng couldn't help laughing: "Why are you so childish?"

"Actually, I took a psychological test, and it said my mental age is only three years old." Sang Tianen took a bite of ice cream and said vaguely, "So you have to give in to me in the future, okay?"

Yan Zheng: “…”

It was obvious that this was nonsense, but the most important thing at the moment was not to bicker, but to quickly finish the ice cream that was about to melt. Yan Zheng tore open the package and ignored Sang Tianen.

The two of them sat side by side in the car eating ice cream. During this time, Yan Zheng received a text message from his father asking when they would leave, as all the relatives were waiting for them.

At the urging of Yan's father, the two set out from the community and after driving for more than an hour, they finally arrived near Qingquan Mountain.

Although it was midsummer, Qingquan Mountain was packed with tourists. Looking at the crowded streets, Sang Tianen asked in confusion, "What do you think these people are thinking? They come to climb the mountain in such hot weather. Wouldn't it be nice to just stay at home and enjoy the air conditioning?"

Yan Zheng looked at the sweaty tourists outside the window and said, "Maybe they like sports."

Sang Tianen stepped on the brakes and let the car move slowly: "It's okay to exercise at home with the air conditioner on."

Hearing Sang Tianen's words, Yan Zheng turned around and looked at her, and asked in a strange tone: "So every time you run at home, you turn on the air conditioner?"

Sang Tianen turned the steering wheel to another road and said, "Not every time. I drive it in the summer, otherwise I'd be too hot to death."

Yan Zheng's expression suddenly paused, and he said meaningfully, "The more I get along with you, the more I find that you really are a person with a strong personality."

Sang Tianen was concentrating on driving and didn't think about the meaning of his words. She really thought Yan Zheng was praising her, and then said happily: "Yeah, I think I'm a good person too."

Yan Zheng turned his head, shrugged his shoulders, and couldn't help laughing.

After driving on Qingquan Avenue for ten minutes, Sang Tianen finally arrived at Qingquan Villa where Yan Zheng's parents lived. As soon as she arrived at the gate of the community, she was stunned. Why does this place look so familiar?

White stone pillars carved with retro patterns are separated by three dark golden doors. A uniformed female security guard stands on the left side of the door.

Just as she frowned in thought, the female security guard came over, bent down and knocked on the car window. Yan Zheng rolled down the window and said, "Resident number 12, Yan Dingxiang's home."

"Mr. Yan." The female security guard immediately smiled kindly when she saw Yan Zheng's face, then turned around and pushed open the middle door. Sang Tianen slowly stepped on the accelerator and drove in.

The black and white horse-head wall first caught her eye. The main road in the middle was paved with blue bricks. The houses with both ancient and modern features were hidden among the scattered landscape trees and rockery.

Damn, what a rich guy!

Sang Tianen looked around like Granny Liu entering the Grand View Garden, asking, "Yan Zheng, tell me the truth, are you a rich second-generation?"

Yan Zheng laughed at her question and blinked his eyes lightly as he asked, "Why does this sound so familiar?"

"Don't change the subject. I remember you told me that your parents were just ordinary doctors in the hospital. Are you hiding something from me?" Sang Tianen stared at him suspiciously.

"I didn't lie to you. My parents are indeed just doctors." Yan Zheng said sincerely.

"Who are you fooling? How can a doctor live here? I remember this place was once on gossip news. The house price was so high that I couldn't even remember how many zeros there were." Sang Tianen didn't believe what he said at all.

Yan Zheng lowered his head and chuckled, then suddenly asked curiously, "So what if I'm a rich second-generation? So what if I'm not?"

"If you are a rich second-generation, I will quit my job immediately and become your little woman. If you are not, I can only continue to be a social animal working for my boss, so you'd better be!" The last few words sounded a bit like gnashing of teeth.

"I'm sorry to disappoint you." Yan Zheng said with a smile, "Turn right ahead, the sixth house is my home."

"You're really not a rich second generation? Then why do you live here? Are you renting?"

Sang Tianen's eyes turned, and suddenly an idea flashed through her mind. She said excitedly, "I know, I know. Your parents were private doctors for some rich man, and they accidentally saved his life. So they were so happy that they gave your family a house?"
