Chapter 134 What Are You All Standing For?

Yan Zheng originally wanted to wait for Sang Tianen outside the bathroom, but he could not resist Zuo Danmei's enthusiastic persuasion. After thinking for a while, he had to follow his future aunt back to the main room.

The ceiling fan was creaking as it turned, and the cool breeze soothed the restlessness in his heart, but his nerves were tense because he was alone facing his girlfriend's many relatives.

Sang Mingming saw that he was at a loss, threw away the melon peel in his hand, took out a tissue to wipe his hands, and sat next to him.

She blinked her eyes, which were painted with light pink eyeshadow, and said to Yan Zheng with a smile: "Brother-in-law, you are so handsome."

The sound of "brother-in-law" made Yan Zheng feel very comfortable. His tense nerves slowly relaxed. He pursed his lips and whispered, "Brother, you're joking."

Seeing that his future cousin-in-law seemed to have a good temper, Sang Mingming felt a little closer to him. "Are you really a programmer too? You look like you have a lot of hair."

Yan Zheng was amused by his childish words and replied shyly, "Not bad."

"You are so quiet and gentle, a perfect match for my sister." Sang Mingming liked this future brother-in-law who looked very gentlemanly more and more, and hoped that he could use gentleness to overcome toughness and cure Sang Tianen's temper.

"Do you think everyone is like you, making a lot of noise like a firecracker all day long? You are not even a man at all." Sang Mingming's father joked from the side.

Sang Mingming was unhappy. He hated it most when others exposed his shortcomings in public. He curled his lips and said, "I'm just cheerful. Besides, it's normal for a bomb to produce a firecracker."

"Hahahaha, dear in-laws, your son has a real tongue." Zuo Danqing laughed. "Unlike my Xiaoxue, who is like a mute person all day long and can't even say a word even if you hit her with three sticks."

Zuo Xue blushed slightly when her mother teased her like this. When her husband saw her like this, a hint of disgust flashed in his eyes.

"What happened in the yard just now?" Zuo Danqing threw the melon peel into the trash can and looked at Zuo Danmei curiously.

Zuo Danmei's anger flared up at the mention of this matter. She glared and said, "It's that crazy kid next door who's scolding our Xiao En over there."

Zuo Danqing's expression suddenly changed when he heard this, and he cursed softly, "What a psychopath! Our family has let him off time and again, and not only is he ungrateful, he's actually finding fault every day."

He stood up and muttered, "I'm going to settle the score with them!"

Sang Rou next to her suddenly coughed violently several times.

Zuo Danqing regained his sanity instantly, a gentle and beautiful smile blooming on his face again. He said to Yan Zheng, "There's a lunatic living next door to our house. He's the kind with a mental problem. When he gets mad, he either curses or hits people."

"Didn't uncle and aunt call the police?" Yan Zheng asked.

"...He is a psychopath, and we are from the same village. Her family is quite pitiful, so we can't be too harsh." Zuo Danqing stroked his hair uncomfortably.

Yan Zheng didn't know what to say anymore. It was really difficult for him to offer any constructive advice on such matters.

The atmosphere fell silent for a moment, with only the sound of Zuo Ran playing games echoing.

The sound was unusually harsh in the quiet environment. Zuo Xue reached out and snatched his phone, saying sternly, "It's time to play with your phone today!"

Zuo Ran immediately refused to do it, twisted his little butt and lay on the ground, crying loudly.

Zuo Xue's husband got angry and picked up Zuo Ran from the ground, pressed her on his legs, and slapped her little butt: "All you do is play games all day, do you still want your eyes?"

Upon seeing this, Zuo Danqing immediately hugged Zuo Ran and coaxed him: "Don't be afraid, Ranran, don't be afraid, your uncle is here."

Zuo Ran laid his little head on Zuo Danqing's shoulder, sobbing and rubbing his eyes with his chubby little hands in grievance.

Zuo Danqing's heart was about to break. He took out his cell phone from his pocket and gave it to Zuo Ran: "Don't cry, little darling, I'll give you my uncle's cell phone to play with!"

Zuo Xue stood up and said anxiously, "Uncle, Ranran is still young and can't play with his phone like this."

"It's okay, just play for a while." Zuo Danqing dodged her outstretched hand and looked at the little boy in his arms with a smile.

Zuo Xue's husband also stood up, suppressing his disgust, and said to Zuo Danqing: "Uncle, Ranran has been playing with his phone for more than two hours today. We can't let him play with it anymore."

Zuo Ran burst into tears again, clutching the phone tightly: "I want the phone, I want the phone, I don't want mom and dad."

Zuo Xue's husband slapped Zuo Ran again and said angrily, "Say it again, who do you want?"

Sang Tianen shook his wet hands and unlocked the back door. As soon as he stepped over the threshold, he heard the crying of children and the scolding of adults, and his temples throbbed twice.

She was already feeling upset because she was sweating all over from squatting on the toilet, and now she heard people arguing, and her face suddenly turned ugly.

Her eyes swept towards the source of the sound, and in just about three seconds, she had guessed the whole story.

She gave a forced smile, took out a tissue and wiped her hands: "What are you doing in such a hot day?" She threw the crumpled tissue into the trash can.

The originally noisy scene suddenly became quiet, and everyone's eyes were focused on her.

Zuo Danqing's heart suddenly rose to his throat. Zuo Ran in his arms rolled his eyes, dropped his phone, got down from the ground obediently, and ran to his father.

"Why are you all silent?" Sang Tianen picked up the disposable paper cup, lowered his eyes, blew away the tea leaves, and took a big sip of tea.

There was no expression on her face and her tone sounded as if she was just chatting, but everyone present knew that the calmer the lake surface, the more turbulent the rapids beneath the water.

"Nothing...nothing." Zuo Xue smiled awkwardly. "Ranran was a little ignorant and wanted to play with his phone, but his dad and I wouldn't let him, so he made a scene."

Sang Tianen put down the paper cup, waved to Zuo Ran and said, "Come here and tell your aunt what's fun about mobile phones."

Upon hearing this, Zuo Ran quickly hid behind his father, not daring to breathe. His little hands tightly grasped his father's pants, leaving only a pair of black and white eyes exposed as he glanced at her.

"Yeah, you must be thirsty." Seeing that Sang Tianen's cup was almost empty, Zuo Danqing quickly picked up the kettle and filled it with water for his daughter with a flattering smile on his face.

"Why are you all standing? Sit down." Sang Tianen said to the stunned crowd, and then he sat down casually on the sofa.

Yan Zheng, who was standing next to her, observed everyone's reactions calmly. It seemed that his previous feeling was correct. Sang Tianen's family was indeed afraid of her, especially her father.
