Chapter 158 Do You Want to Hurt Me?

These words echoed in his mind like a bell. Sang Tianen looked at the half-eaten rice and suddenly lost his appetite. He stood up and wanted to leave.

But he turned back after walking a few steps, muttering to himself, "Waste is a crime, we cannot waste food." Then he started eating again.

At about half past twelve, Sang Tianen, who was lying half asleep in her office chair, was suddenly awakened by the vibration of her cell phone. She opened her sleepy eyes, picked up her phone and took a look. She found that it was a message from Qiao Sirui. After replying briefly, she took out the passbook from her purse and went downstairs.

As soon as she walked out of the glass door of the R&D building, a wave of heat hit her face, and the dazzling light burned her skin like a red-hot needle.

After taking a few steps, beads of sweat the size of beans began to seep out of his fair skin. Sang Tianen frowned and walked quickly to the guard post.

The security lady was sitting leisurely in the duty room, enjoying the air conditioning and grinning at her phone with her mouth open. Suddenly she heard a noise, quickly pressed the lock screen button, covered her phone on the table, and her expression became extremely serious.

"Are you here to pick up a package?" Seeing that the person looked familiar, she breathed a sigh of relief. She almost thought that a leader had come to make a surprise check, and she was so scared that she almost had a cardiac arrest.

"No, I'm waiting for someone to come and deliver something to me." Sang Tianen smiled politely at the security lady.

"Oh!" The security lady also smiled slightly, but in her heart she kept praying that Sang Tianen would leave quickly.

Sang Tianen looked at the main road outside the glass window and found that there was not a single person in sight. He couldn't help feeling angry.

Qiao Sirui told her it would be here in about five minutes, and now it's already been seven minutes. Could this person be any less reliable?

Sang Tianen called back the unfamiliar number that had called her during lunch, and the call was connected within a few seconds.

Before the other party could say anything, Sang Tianen asked angrily, "Are you crazy? It's been a few minutes. Don't you know the temperature is 35 degrees Celsius today? Do you want to heat me to death?"

The aggressive look scared the security lady so much that she opened her eyes wide. Although they didn't know each other, they would sometimes talk to each other when picking up express deliveries. She didn't expect that the little girl who was usually polite to her actually had such a brutal side. It really shows that you can't judge a person by his appearance.

The security lady glanced at Sang Tianen out of the corner of her eye, secretly criticizing him in her heart.

Qiao Sirui panted heavily, as if she was running, and said breathlessly: "Yes, sorry, I saw it, I saw your company's logo. Please wait for me for a few minutes."

"I'm in the guard room. Come and see me directly when you arrive." After saying this, Sang Tianen hung up the phone.

The security lady moved the company's management regulations over and pretended to read them. The small duty room suddenly became unusually quiet.

Less than two minutes later, there was a knock on the door of the duty room.

The sound was not loud, not resounding, as if the person knocking on the door was extremely weak or very cautious.

Sang Tianen put down his phone upon hearing the voice. He originally wanted to take advantage of the situation to scold Qiao Sirui, but when he saw that she was sweating profusely, pale and panting, the vicious words on her lips could not be uttered.

She unlocked the door and said with her mouth open, "Come in and talk."

Qiao Sirui didn't come in obediently. Instead, she looked at the security lady anxiously, her voice inexplicably light: "Will it be inconvenient?"

In principle, the guard room is open to no one except the company's employees, but there are some human touches under the rules.

The weather was so hot, and Qiao Sirui looked obviously unwell, so the security lady said to her generously, "It's okay, come in."

Qiao Sirui wiped her wet forehead and smiled shyly at Sang Tianen: "Sister." Then she walked into the guard room.

But before Sang Tianen could open his mouth again, Qiao Sirui's legs suddenly softened like noodles just put into the pot, and then she fell to her knees with a thud.

Sang Tianen was startled by her sudden action and subconsciously went to help her, exclaiming, "Qiao Sirui!"

Qiao Sirui did not respond to her. Instead, she half-closed her eyes and stared at a certain point without a trace of focus, as if she had suddenly fallen ill.

Seeing this, the security lady standing up immediately shouted, "Oh no! This girl might have a heat stroke."

Heatstroke?

Sang Tianen was stunned for a moment, then he reacted, took out his cell phone and was about to call the emergency number, but another hand slowly held him back.

"I, I'm fine." Qiao Sirui's voice became extremely weak, as if she was going to die in the next second.

The security lady took out a small brown cylindrical potion from the drawer and said to Sang Tianen, "Help her head up. I'll give her some medicine to relieve the heat."

Sang Tianen worked with the security lady to pour a small bottle of heat-relieving medicine into Qiao Sirui's throat.

Qiao Sirui swallowed the medicine obediently, and her eyes trembled slightly.

After feeding the medicine, the security lady put the towel she used to wipe her face in a red bucket and rubbed it a few times, then folded it into a long strip and stuck it on her forehead.

Sang Tianen unbuttoned Qiao Sirui's shirt and picked up the booklet with the company's management regulations and fanned her.

After an unknown amount of time, Qiao Sirui's expression finally regained some semblance of normality. She looked at Sang Tianen and the security lady who had been fanning her, and whispered, "Thank you."

"You're welcome!" Seeing that she was fine, the security lady smiled and said, "You've come at the right time, girl. My husband has been complaining about how hot it's been lately and how many people have died in Zhaoyang City from the heat, so he asked me to bring some medicine to relieve the heat."

"I'm sorry to trouble you." Qiao Sirui pursed her lips and said.

Seeing that she had recovered, Sang Tianen stopped fanning her, threw the booklet on the table, and let out a long breath.

She really wanted to find a fortune teller to calculate whether her horoscope was incompatible with Qiao Sirui's.

Ever since he met this damn girl, her originally well-behaved and sensible brother has become rebellious, and he really doesn't care about his relatives for this person.

Now, someone can get heatstroke just by coming to get a passbook. It only takes two minutes to walk to the bus stop. She was also convinced that someone could get heatstroke even in such a short distance.

If Sang Muyang knew about this, who knows what he would think of her. He would definitely think that she was abusing her girlfriend by asking someone to come and collect money in such hot weather.

If anything happened to Qiao Sirui in front of her, she wouldn't be able to explain it even if she had eight mouths.

Thinking of this, Sang Tianen became furious: "What's wrong with you? Why are you in such poor health? You got a heat stroke after just a few minutes of Lu Chen. You knew you were not feeling well but you didn't say anything. Are you deliberately trying to hurt me?"
