Chapter 185 Illness

Yan Zheng looked very hesitant: "How about we get the certificate another day? I'll take you to the hospital first. You look very bad."

Sang Tianen curved his eyebrows in a comforting manner and said, "It's okay, it's just that my voice quacks like a duck, but everything else is fine."

Then he picked up the black leather bag and said to Yan Zheng, "Did you bring your ID card?"

"It's all in the bag." Yan Zheng stared at her closely. "Actually, I'm really not in a hurry."

"Okay, stop talking nonsense, grab your bag and go." Sang Tianen handed Xuanguan Yanzheng's bag to him, "But you have to drive today. I have a headache now and I'm afraid I can't concentrate."

Yan Zheng took the bag and nodded, saying, "Okay!" Then he followed Sang Tianen out of the house.

The weather today is still gloomy. It is drizzling in the sky and green leaves are falling all over the ground.

Yan Zheng drove the car intently, the windshield wipers moving back and forth rhythmically. From time to time, he glanced at Sang Tianen, who was dozing in the passenger seat. She was frowning, her arms clasped tightly, as if enduring some pain.

Yan Zheng looked both guilty and worried. He shouldn't have called Sang Tianen yesterday. He should have just gone out and taken a taxi. He had to get caught in the rain because of him and became so sick.

There happened to be a red light ahead, so Yan Zheng stepped on the brakes, turned around and put his hand on Sang Tianen's forehead, which was frighteningly hot.

His eyes suddenly became stern, and he said in a deep voice, "You have a fever. I'll take you to the hospital."

Sang Tianen slowly opened his eyes, pulled down his hand and said, "I'm fine, let's go get the certificate first!"

Yan Zheng instantly became angry and raised his voice, "It's already so late, and you're still thinking about this. If you can't get it today, you can do it another day. There's no need to rush it today. In my eyes, nothing is more important than your health."

Perhaps because he was really ill, Sang Tianen's voice was very gentle, lacking his usual sharp aura: "I've already made an appointment. If I don't go, it will affect my credit. Besides, it's only ten minutes away. It won't be too late to take me to the hospital after I get the certificate."

"Why are you so stubborn?" Yan Zheng was furious. "For a special situation like this, you can just call and explain it. You don't need to say anything. I'll take you to the hospital now."

At this time, the red light turned green. Yan Zheng stepped on the accelerator and turned the steering wheel towards the hospital.

Sang Tianen had a high fever and didn't have the energy to argue with Yan Zheng. He fell asleep in a daze.

When I woke up again, I was already in the hospital parking lot. Yan Zheng whispered, "Wake up, we're at the hospital."

Sang Tianen slowly moved her body, her eyes were already bloodshot from being burned, and she looked at him blankly. Yan Zheng felt very distressed, so he unbuckled her seat belt and pulled out Sang Tianen, who seemed to be a little conscious.

He put Sang Tianen's arm on his shoulders, then put his arm around her waist, gritted his teeth, half-hugged her and walked to the emergency department.

The emergency room was very quick, and Sang Tianen was soon arranged to go to the infusion room for an IV drip. Yan Zheng sat beside her and watched the nurse insert the thin needle into her tendons and veins.

Subconsciously, I asked, "Does it hurt?"

Although Sang Tianen felt dizzy, he still had some residual rationality and smiled, "It doesn't hurt."

The nurse next to him smiled and said, "My technique is very good. Your wife won't feel any pain."

After the nurse left, Sang Tianen half-closed his eyes and said, "It's nothing, just go back to work, I'm fine."

"No, I want to stay by your side." Yan Zheng shook his head stubbornly.

Sang Tianen didn't say anything else and fell asleep again in a daze.

When she regained consciousness, it was already noon. Her hands were tightly held by a pair of slightly cold hands, and the other party seemed to be exerting great strength to embed themselves into her flesh and bones.

She moved her fingers and asked in confusion, "Why are you still here?"

Yan Zheng saw Sang Tianen wake up, his eyes flashed with surprise, but before he could be happy, he heard these words, his face immediately fell: "What do you mean?"

Sang Tianen didn't realize there was anything wrong with his words, and continued, "Shouldn't you be in the company?"

She clearly remembered that when she was getting the IV drip, she asked Yan Zheng to go back to work.

"You're about to die from a high fever. Do you think I still have the mood to go to work?" Yan Zheng's eyes turned red with anger at her words. He had been guarding here for several hours, but when the person woke up, she didn't say a single warm word and directly asked him why he didn't go to work. Is there anything more speechless than this?

She loves working so much, why doesn't she go to work?

If the company didn't award her the title of outstanding employee at the end of the year, Yan Zheng would feel that the heavens were cruel.

Sang Tianen looked at him blankly: "Why are you reacting so strongly?"

"Why do you think I reacted so strongly?" Yan Zheng asked, staring at her.

"It's just a minor cold. There are doctors and nurses guarding me. There are so many patients in the hospital. It's not good for you to stay here." Sang Tianen came to his senses and felt something was wrong. He started to explain.

After hearing Sang Tianen's explanation, Yan Zheng felt better and said in a gentle tone, "I've already sent a message to Manager Sun to ask for leave for you."

Sang Tianen was really afraid that the virus in his body would be transmitted to Yan Zheng, so he urged him, "I understand. You should go back first. If I infect you with this virus in my body, I will die."

An old man who was receiving an IV drip nearby also said with concern: "Hey, young man, you should listen to your wife. There are so many people catching colds recently, and they are all viruses."

"Did you hear that? Since I said so, don't make me worry. I might be fine but you caught a cold again." Sang Tianen said good-temperedly.

Yan Zheng was silent for a moment and said, "I just ordered takeout for you. She will call you later. I'm going back to the company first. If you have any questions, please call me."

"Got it." Sang Tianen nodded and reminded, "Go slowly on the way back."
