Chapter 39: Pure Body

The burning clouds dyed the lake into a rosy glow, and together with the sky in the distance, they formed a rich and colorful oil painting.

The strands of hair on Yan Zheng's forehead were gently blown by the wind blowing from the lake. His dark pupils now showed a deep wine red color. He stood in front of the window for a long time, as if he was distracted.

"What are you daydreaming about? Come and order." Seeing that he was staring at Siyue Lake in a daze, Sang Tianen couldn't help but remind him, and then he scanned the QR code for ordering on the table.

Yan Zheng came to his senses and turned around, only to find that the waitress who had just brought them in had left, and there were only him and Sang Tianen in the entire box.

The jellyfish lamps emitted dim light, and the blue decorations made people feel melancholy and depressed, and the feeling of anxiety and tension rose in his heart again.

Yan Zheng suddenly felt a little breathless, so he had to unbutton a few buttons on his collar and take a few deep breaths.

"This restaurant has quite a variety of dishes." Sang Tianen's fingers kept swiping the screen of his phone without looking up. "Yan Zheng, what do you want to eat?"

"What's it?" Yan Zheng walked up to her, bent down and looked at the phone, and there was nothing unusual in his voice.

Sang Tianen handed the phone to him directly and wanted to ask him to order it himself, but Yan Zheng suddenly opened his eyes wide and subconsciously took a step back.

Sang Tianen was confused by his dodging action and asked dully, "What are you doing?"

Yan Zheng also knew that he had overreacted and smiled awkwardly: "Sorry, I was a little distracted just now."

"Your reaction is too big." Sang Tianen shook his phone at him. "You act like I'm going to do something to you."

It was originally just an unintentional complaint, but it reminded Yan Zheng of the time when he drank coffee at Sang Tianen's house. His face felt slightly hot, and he thought that it was not just a no.

He bit his lip, took the phone from Sang Tianen's hand, pulled over the chair next to him and sat down, concentrating on looking at the electronic menu.

Yan Zheng's expression was serious, his eyelashes like small fans trembled gently, and under the dim light, his facial features were particularly well-defined, deep and calm.

Sang Tianen really wanted to take a picture of this scene and use it as his phone screensaver, but he felt that his behavior was not very nice. After struggling for a long time, he realized that he had already ordered the food and pushed the phone back.

Perhaps because of the movement of his finger during the push, the phone suddenly returned to the main interface, and a young and handsome man jumped out, instantly attracting Yan Zheng's attention.

The man was lying on the grass in a sleeveless T-shirt, his glowing white arms resting lightly behind his head, his clear eyes filled with a hint of surprise.

It doesn't look like a celebrity model, and the composition is not sophisticated enough. It looks more like a temporary photo.

Yan Zheng felt uncomfortable and wanted to ask Sang Tianen who this man was, but he didn't seem to have the qualifications to do so. They were just a man and a woman who had feelings for each other.

Sang Tianen took his phone and took a look, and found that the shopping cart was full of cheap dishes. He didn’t order any seafood at all, not even any mantis shrimp.

"Why did you order only these dishes?" Her fingers quickly pointed at a few of Yan Zheng's favorite dishes, "No need to save money for me."

His little thoughts were seen through. Yan Zheng pursed his lips, picked up the glass and took a sip of water, then moved his gaze to the window.

The sun had already set at this time, and the sky was a deep blue. From time to time, a few black shadows quickly passed through the sky.

When a bird is tired of flying, it can return to its nest. But where else can he go when he is tired? Yan Zheng unconsciously looked at Sang Tianen, who was still ordering food with his head down, and his eyes darkened.

After ordering the dishes, Sang Tianen placed his phone on the table. As soon as he looked up, he met Yan Zheng Rumo's eyes. He was stunned for a moment, then smiled and said, "What's the matter?"

"Nothing." Yan Zheng smiled faintly, hiding the thoughts in his heart. His eyes fell on Sang Tianen's delicate face, "You look beautiful today."

"It's okay," Sang Tianen replied, without any sense of modesty. "I just put on some foundation. Nothing else."

“…”

"What's that expression on your face? I really just put on some foundation. I was in a hurry. Otherwise, I could make myself look like Xu Yifei." Sang Tianen stretched his face forward and changed the angle. "See? I didn't lie to you."

Yan Zheng took a deep breath, not knowing whether to laugh or cry. He stretched out a finger and pressed Sang Tianen's head back: "I believe it."

He suddenly felt that he had overestimated Sang Tianen by identifying her as the Sea King. This woman was an idiot, an idiot without any romantic feelings.

Any ambiguous words would immediately become dull and boring like "It's a nice day today" when she spoke.

He even suspected that this woman had never been in love at all. Anyone with some emotional experience would not be like her.

However, he was also a little glad that Sang Tianen was an emotional idiot. Her appearance, which was no less than that of a celebrity model, could easily make a man fall in love with her, not to mention that she also had abundant financial resources.

Yan Zheng had accompanied his friends on many blind dates before, so he knew what kind of men and women were most popular. Sang Tianen was of higher quality and usually would not end up on the blind date market.

Before she even left the school, she was picked up by a boy with a discerning eye.

However, Yan Zheng was actually quite curious about Sang Tianen's emotional experience, so he asked in a low voice, "Sang Tianen, have you never been in love?"

Sang Tianen was not curious about why Yan Zheng suddenly asked this question, but nodded sincerely and said, "Yes, I have always maintained my virginity."

Yan Zheng had never expected that Sang Tianen would confess so frankly. He was stunned on the spot, with the words "pure body" constantly echoing in his mind, and his face turned indescribably red.

Sang Tianen took in his expression, raised his eyebrows, leaned over and asked seriously, "What were you thinking about just now? Why is your face red?"

"It's a bit stuffy." Yan Zheng's eyes wandered. He picked up the glass and drank water. He suddenly felt like he was shooting himself in the foot.

Sang Tianen was definitely teasing him. Although he couldn't see it, Yan Zheng could feel it, this hateful big-tailed wolf.

Those four words came to my mind again. If Sang Tianen really had never been in love, then wouldn’t I be her first love?

Thinking of this, Yan Zheng's heart surged.

"Don't just talk about me. How many times have you been in love?" Sang Tianen didn't want to ask this kind of question, as it would make her seem very uncultured, but it was Yan Zheng who brought it up first, so it wouldn't be too much for her to ask, right?

"You only have one official relationship." Yan Zheng said slowly, and then he explained the reason for their breakup. "After graduating from university, she went abroad to study, and I chose to stay in China for graduate school, so we broke up."
