Chapter 25: Catching a Wild Boar

Meng was the first to react with a cry of “woof”. She rushed over in a rage and started fighting with Wu Fengxian, “You damn liar, give me back my money!”

In a fight, the skinny Wu Fengxian wasn't in the same league as Meng. But refunding her money was impossible. If she couldn't win, wouldn't she pull her hair? She grabbed Meng's hair and yelled, "You're the one who killed millions! You're a liar! Your whole family is a liar! She's not possessed by a demon at all..."

After cursing to this point, Wu Fengxian remembered what Tian said last night. She really had an accident. If Jian was not possessed by a demon, how could she subdue her?

The whole house is full of liars! Big liars!

She was so angry that she ruined her reputation. The more she thought about it, the angrier she became. She was so angry that she didn't know where she got the strength from. She turned the defeat into victory and gained the upper hand. She pressed Meng under her and slapped her several times.

When she raised her hand to slap again, Liu, Gao and Lu rushed over, especially Liu, who was the most aggressive. It was she who came up with the idea and was afraid that Meng would come back to settle the score with her, so she rushed over and beat Wu Fengxian up, and finally stepped on the command flag on her shoulder that was scattered on the ground and broke it into pieces.

Wu Fengxian's fighting ability was weak to begin with, not to mention that the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law joined forces. Not only was she beaten black and blue, but several of her eating utensils were also damaged. It was a huge loss!

Of the thirty-six strategies, running away is the best one. She broke free from them and fled in a panic. One of her shoes fell off and was picked up by Liu, who threw it hard at her back, making her stagger and almost fall down the hillside. Fearing that the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law would catch up with her, she didn't even bother to pick up her shoe and ran away stumbling.

"Oh my God!" Meng thought of the 300-wen deposit, slammed her hands on her legs, sat on the ground and started wailing at the top of her lungs.

Old Ding's face turned ashen. When he passed by her, he kicked her to the ground in anger.

He is not capable of accomplishing anything, but is more likely to cause trouble.

He took his sons to work in the fields.

As he walked, the fifth brother Ding Youyou looked back at the renovated roof of the old house, and then glanced at Ding Youtian who was standing next to Jian Ning with a smile on his face. Thinking that he no longer had to work in the fields and could still eat meat every day, he suddenly felt that dividing the family might not be a bad thing.

The show was over and the villagers who had come to watch the fun also patted their butts and dispersed.

Blind Liu stepped forward and said, "You still have a few days to clean up. Once you're done, I'll come join you. We'll also need to hire two or three more people. You guys take care of that. I'll be leaving now."

Jian Ning looked at the Bagua diagram on the Pingjin fan in his hand, and her heart moved. At first, she thought that Wu Xiangu was a liar, and the blue flame might have been made of some chemical substances, but the demon-subduing pestle flying into the air showed that the fairy was still quite capable.

As for why it turned and fell on Wu Xiangu after flying into the air, there must be someone secretly helping her. She suspected that this person was Blind Liu, and she would find a chance to ask him.

"Aunt Jian, are you going up the mountain today?" Ma Xiaomai ran over with her two younger brothers and asked.

"Go ahead, and cut some hay and chop some bamboo."

"I'm going to help you mow the grass. After that, can you teach me how to set a trap?"

"Of course." Jane Ning said with a smile.

"I'm going too!"

"I'm going too!"

Ma Xiaomi and Ma Xiaodou raised their hands and shouted.

Jane Ning turned around and saw the four little ones coming out with the silver fox cubs. She touched Ma Xiaodou's head and said, "Don't go. Stay home and play with Dabao and the others."

Ma Xiaodou was instantly attracted by the silver fox cub. He decided not to go. He ran to the big girl and reached out to touch the treasure, but the little guy arched his back and glared at him fiercely.

The girl said, "Jinbao is not familiar with you yet, it doesn't matter, you can touch it later when you are familiar with it."

Ma Xiaodou nodded repeatedly, his eyes darting back and forth between the four silver fox cubs, looking incredibly fond of them...

"Bah!" Outside the courtyard gate, Meng spat at Jian Ning, got up and saw Liu, glared at her, and reached out to hit her.

Liu screamed and ran away.

"You crazy woman! I'll let you give me stupid advice and talk so much, I'll beat you to death!" Meng chased her away cursing.

Lu glanced at Jian Ning, and hurriedly pulled Gao to follow, fearing that if she was a step slower she would fall into Jian Ning's hands. Wu Xiangu said that Jian Ning was not possessed by a monster, and she really couldn't understand what happened yesterday.

She was too lazy to think about it anymore. Anyway, she secretly made up her mind to stay away from Jian in the future. He was a ruthless person, and he was no longer the same as before. She couldn't afford to offend him, but she could afford to avoid him.

"Auntie Jian, do you know kung fu?" Ma Xiaomai asked Jian Ning on the way up the mountain. Ding Youtian, who was walking behind, also pricked up his ears.

"I know a little bit. The master who taught me medicine when I was a child also taught me martial arts."

"Then can we practice together in the morning? I used to practice with my dad every morning. I can teach you what I know, and you can teach me what you know, okay?"

"No problem, let's learn from each other."

What he said was exactly what Jian Ning wanted. She had originally planned to teach the four little ones martial arts. She was worried that Ding Youtian would ask too many questions. After all, her original body was only a little over seven years old when she entered the Ding family. It was inevitable that people would be suspicious if she knew both medicine and martial arts. Now she saved herself the trouble.

A few people cut grass and bamboo on the mountain, and then went to the trap. The harvest was even bigger than yesterday. They actually caught a big wild boar. Jane Ning estimated that it weighed more than 300 pounds. There were also several turtledoves and hares. Two of the hares were still alive and unharmed.

Ma Xiaomai and Ma Xiaomi were so happy that they jumped three feet high. After calming down, Ma Xiaomai knelt down on the ground and kowtowed to Jian Ning several times.

"Aunt Jian, please accept me as your apprentice. I will listen to you all my life. Please."

"You're quite clever." Ding Youtian was calmer today, not as excited as yesterday. He thought it must be the work of the fox spirit meat. He asked Ma Xiaomai to stand up first, "If you want to become my disciple, you must ask your parents for their opinion first, and you must do it properly."

"Listen to your Uncle Ding and go back and ask your parents. As long as your parents agree, I will accept you as my apprentice." Jian Ning smiled and pulled him up. She quite liked this boy.

The wild boar in the trap had just died and was still making faint grunting sounds. It was probably fallen in while out looking for food. Jane Ning pulled the huge wild boar, weighing several hundred pounds, out by himself.

After fixing the trap again, she helped Ma Xiaomi dig another one in another place, and then gave him a piece of the fox meat that she had secretly taken out and sprinkled with spiritual spring water, and threw it into the trap.

When going down the mountain, several people carried the wild boar on bamboo. Jian Ning walked in front, Ding Youtian and Ma Xiaomai walked behind, and they took turns carrying it.

When they came down from the mountain, the villagers passing by saw it and ran over to watch. When they learned that it was a trap, they marveled at how lucky Jian Ning and Ding Youtian were.

But some people wondered if the wild animals were particularly greedy during this season, making them easier to trap. So, a few people had already quietly gone home to get their tools and head up the mountain to dig traps.
