Chapter 796: A Dream (End of the Play)

These two slaps would have made Erniu cry loudly, but little Ding Qian just grinned and took a breath, rubbed his butt with his backhand, and then smiled happily again, calling "Mom" in a baby voice and was about to jump into Jian Ning's arms.

Jian Ning put one hand on her forehead and pushed him away with the other, "Mom can't take care of you anymore. Wait until your dad comes back to deal with you."

Ding Youtian hadn't returned yet when Ah Man arrived. She had grown into a young girl with bright eyes and white teeth. She came to tell Jian Ning that she would have her coming-of-age ceremony tomorrow. Jian Ning was stunned for a moment, "Ah Man is going to have her coming-of-age ceremony so soon?"

The eldest girl knew that she would be leaving with Yuechan and her siblings after her coming of age, so she hurried forward, grabbed her, and asked, "Sister Man'er, are you still determined to leave?"

"No, Sister Man won't leave." Ding Qian hugged Ah Man, "Qian'er won't let Sister leave."

Ah Man smiled, leaned over and picked him up, gently tapping his nose with his hand, "Look at you, your face has become like a little cat, are you bullying Brother Qiu again?"

He shook his head.

The wet nurse came forward and took him away with a smile.

"Man'er, have you really thought it through? Are you still not going to change your mind?" Jian Ning asked her.

Ah Man smiled without saying anything. Jian Ning knew that she was determined and no one could change her mind.

On the night of her coming-of-age ceremony, Ah Man said goodbye to her grandparents and Jian Ning and the others. No one knew how she persuaded the Grand Tutor and Mrs. Huo, but they actually agreed to let her go. Perhaps they knew that she was as stubborn as Huo Jincheng, and forcing her to stay would not only fail but would also create a rift between the grandparents and granddaughter.

Dabao didn't go to Ah Man's coming-of-age ceremony, refusing on the grounds that he was not feeling well. When Ah Man and the others were leaving, he came over and called out to Brother Qiu. Baimei flew around Jian Ning three times and then landed on Yue'e's shoulder.

It was originally given to Jian Ning by Yue'e, and it seems that it is going to leave Jian Ning.

"Guoguo, you come with us." Seeing Guoguo reluctant to leave, Jian Ning considered that the forest village might be more suitable for them, so he let A Man take the four little silver foxes away.

Ding Qian was tired from playing and went to bed early, otherwise he would probably roll around on the ground if Ah Man took Qiu Ge away. He was naturally good at throwing tantrums. Jian Ning often complained to Ding Youtian, saying that it was inherited from his mother, Old Meng.

As for Dabao and the other three, now that they had grown up and could reason things out, they all agreed to release the four silver foxes back into the forest.

Before leaving, Ah Man glanced towards Dabao's room. Dabao never showed up from beginning to end. She sighed secretly and turned around to greet Yuechan's siblings and Qinglian. Qinglian was not from the Central Plains. She was willing to follow them to Yue Kingdom. Jian Ning had no reason not to let her go. She was a free person.

In the long streets and alleys, several people walked away with their pets.

Jian Ning, Ding Youtian and others were about to go back to the house when Dabao ran out, calling A'man and chasing after them.

Ah Man didn't look back.

Dabao didn't chase him anymore. Jian Ning drove Da Niu and the others back. She and Ding Youtian stayed outside the door. Only when they saw Dabao turn around and walk back silently did they go in.

At night, Jian Ning and Ding Youtian were lying on the bed talking. As they talked, her eyelids became heavy. She grabbed Ding Youtian's hand and said, "Go to sleep. It's getting late." Ding Youtian nodded.

Not long after falling asleep, Jian Ning vaguely heard Ding Youtian whispering in her ear, "Madam, where is this? Is this the time and space of your previous life?"

When Jian Ning opened her eyes, she saw herself and Ding Youtian standing hand in hand on a busy street. Her ears were filled with all kinds of noise. She felt very light. She looked down and found that her feet were clearly on the road. Before she had time to figure out what was going on, the scene in front of her changed.

Wu Yanxu and Wu Juan, both with white hair, walked over with a middle-aged couple, followed by a child holding a bouquet of flowers. Jian Ning called out, "Captain Wu!" But they passed by her and Ding Youtian without seeming to notice them. Instead, the middle-aged man turned around and glanced at them.

Jian Ning pulled Ding Youtian and followed.

After following them all the way to the cemetery, Jian Ning found herself in front of her own tombstone. She heard Wu Yanxu ask the middle-aged man, "Guangming, have you decided on the title of your script?"

"It's settled, 'Female Special Police Travels Through Time: Leading Four Little Ones to Blast the Ancient World'. The female lead is Jian Ning, and the male lead is Ding Youtian."

Huh? Jian Ning was struck by lightning, and she subconsciously glanced sideways at Ding Youtian.

However, there was no one around her.

The wind blew, the fragrance of flowers filled the air, and Jane Ning smiled faintly on the tombstone.
