“It should be.” Cao Kun looked at the small wooden house in front of him. He didn’t sense any yin energy, but he did sense a different kind of power.
This power is both sinister and incredibly strong.
Cao Kun's expression turned serious: "Let's go take a look."
The two entered the cabin and saw a mess inside.
The interior was sparsely furnished, resembling a warehouse on a farm, and consisted of two floors.
The house was dilapidated and dirty; you could see the dirt directly on the floor.
Cao Kun surveyed the room thoroughly but found nothing. He then turned his attention to the well in front of him.
Seeing the well, recalling the abandoned wooden house, and knowing that a child had gone missing, Cao Kun had a rough idea of what he had encountered this time.
It, by Pennywise.
These are novels and characters created by horror novelist Stephen King.
In the original novel, Yonneweiss's true identity is a death ray from the superverse.
The Death Ray created an avatar that landed in a small town called Derry, which became Pennywise the Clown.
Pennywise feeds on the thoughts of living beings, and especially enjoys eating children with rich imaginations.
Therefore, its prey is usually children.
However, this is the original novel.
When Pennywise was adapted into a movie, his food became a source of fear.
Unlike adults' fears, which are usually poverty, destitution, or asexuality, children's fears are more concrete.
Therefore, Pennywise, the Joker, in the movie also preys on children.
It can manifest as something that children fear.
It can easily kill anyone who is afraid of it, making them its food.
To avoid being killed by it, you must not have any fear of it.
But how could that be? What it manifests is people's fear.
If a person can easily overcome their fear, then it is not fear.
The movie doesn't explicitly state whether the Joker is a manifestation of the super-universe's Death Ray or something else.
However, the Joker does indeed have three orbs of light hidden inside his body.
Those three orbs of light are actually its true form.
It first appeared in a tribe.
The tribe's priests tried to seal it away, but they failed and all of them died at its hands.
And so it has existed on this land for hundreds of years.
But it doesn't stay there forever; it goes dormant once someone overcomes the fear and harms it.
It will take 27 years before it awakens again.
In the second It movie, the main characters overcome their fear, rip out its heart, turn it to ashes, and seemingly kill it completely.
From the perspective of an ordinary viewer, Cao Kun would also believe this.
From Cao Kun's current perspective, however, he felt that this clown was so powerful, how could he be killed so easily?
Those main characters may have only killed the three avatars of light.
The real Joker, however, did not die.
The main characters only overcame their own fears.
But whether Cao Kun thinks this way or not, we'll only know when the time comes.
Moreover, the premise is that what reflects reality is a movie, not a novel.
Seeing Cao Kun frowning in thought, Jennifer asked anxiously, "Master Cao Kun, is Kai in here?"
Cao Kun: "Let's go, let's retreat first, I need to make some preparations."
Jennifer didn't know what Cao Kun was planning, but for now, she had no choice but to listen to him.
After the two left, Cao Kun walked around the cabin.
He would throw out an array of objects every so often he walked a certain distance.
Finally, with a hand seal and a spell, all the array objects disappeared.
If Jennifer had seen this before flying, she would have been speechless with shock.
But after her previous experience of flying, Jennifer was no longer surprised.
Cao Kun knew that, according to the movie, the small cabin was actually located beneath the town's entire sewer system, which was interconnected in all directions.
His superficial deployment seems to have little effect.
But since he did this, the formation must have another purpose.
"Let's go."
Cao Kun led Jennifer back into the cabin and to the well.
Jennifer asked, "Should we jump?"
"certainly."
Cao Kun looked at the well opening. The well opening was not wide. Only one adult could enter and exit at a time; two people would be too crowded.
However, if he lets Jennifer go down first or last, she is vulnerable to being attacked by the Joker.
Cao Kun: "Hold me tight."
As soon as he finished speaking, Jennifer quickly moved closer, skillfully hugged him tightly, and crossed her legs over him.
Cao Kun glared at her, then stood up and leaped into the well.
The well wasn't very deep, only a few meters, before they landed on the ground.
Cao Kun patted Jennifer on the shoulder: "We're here."
"So fast?" Jennifer reluctantly left Cao Kun's body.
Then they discovered that a passageway had appeared before them.
At the end of the passage were three doors.
The words written on the door in crooked handwriting are: "Not scary, moderately scary, extremely scary".
These three doors also appear in the movie.
However, it does not appear on the channel and is not a required option.
Now, however, they stood directly in front of them.
It seems that to find Jennifer's child, one must go through one of the doors.
Jennifer has now fully accepted this different world.
After all, if humans can fly, what is impossible?
She asked, "Are none of these three doors as simple as they seem?"
“That’s right,” Cao Kun replied.
In the movie, behind a terrifying door is a lower body without an upper body, which strides out from behind the door.
Behind the not-so-scary door is an adorable little dog.
But in reality, that dog will transform into a terrifying dog monster that can swallow a person whole.
Jennifer: "So how do we choose?"
“We won’t choose either.” Cao Kun led Jennifer forward.
He raised his hand and suddenly struck forward.
A giant purple hand instantly materialized and slammed forward.
Rumble!
With a loud bang, the three doors in front of me were smashed to pieces, but no dust was scattered.
A new passage appeared before them.
Jennifer looked at Cao Kun in horror. Could a human palm strike achieve such a level of power?
Is this even human?
But she gained even more confidence in rescuing her child.
Now, she suddenly realizes that the 5 million seemed to have been well spent.
After blasting away three doors with a single palm strike, Cao Kun and his companion encountered no further obstacles and arrived at a spacious underground space.
A beam of light shone down from somewhere above, making the underground space not dark.
They walked to the beam of light and saw a wide passage leading to an unknown destination.
Inside that passage, there was a mountain of bones made up of severed limbs and broken bones.
Tiny figures of children floated in the air, slowly rotating.
