Chapter 119 I Want to Give Birth

"Young master, if it's really as Mr. Ji said, what will you do? Although there is Miss Bai, she has never delivered a baby before!"

Xiao Ying gripped Ling Feng's sleeve tightly with worry, her eyes filled with regret. If she had known the consequences, she should have stopped her young master in the first place.

Ling Feng's eyes darkened upon hearing this, but he still forced himself to remain calm. He patted Xiao Ying's hand and whispered words of comfort.

"If Bai Xiaojiu can't do it, there's still Grandpa Bai, right? He's delivered many babies in the pavilion, so there's nothing to worry about."

Although he said that, he himself had no confidence at all.

When he decided to do this, he only had a sliver of hope in Bai Xiaojiu and never thought about leaving himself a way out.

Now that things have come to this, he has no regrets.

Fortunately, they had already made contact with Su Qinghe.

As Ling Feng was thinking, Su Qinghe suddenly spoke up.

"If you want to abort the child now, it's not too late. I have no objection. You can always have another one later."

She crossed her arms, looked at Ling Feng expressionlessly, and uttered some shocking words.

This time, none of the men argued with her. They all lowered their heads, looking reluctant to speak. Lin Xi, feeling the same way, touched her lower abdomen in fear.

After all, they are all men, and who would willingly abort their own child? But if they don't abort, there is a risk of losing three lives, and no matter which choice they make, it is hard to accept.

The room fell eerily quiet. Ling Feng stared intently at Su Qinghe's cold gaze, feeling a pang of unease.

"I want to give birth." He raised his hand and touched his slightly swollen belly, saying calmly.

Su Qinghe's eyes flashed, and she opened her mouth. "Whatever you say."

After saying that, she stopped looking at him, turned around, and left. "I'm done eating. Please help yourselves."

She disappeared from everyone's sight in a few steps, leaving behind a group of men with heavy hearts.

Without Su Qinghe, the head of the household, in charge, the atmosphere in the hall became somewhat somber. Having just learned of this terrible news, no one had any appetite.

Seeing that no one in the room spoke, Lin Xi sighed softly and took on the responsibility of being the head of the household.

He slowly walked to Ling Feng's side, hesitated for a moment, and then put his arm around Ling Feng's.

"Young Master Ling, don't worry too much. Your wife isn't such a heartless person. Since she didn't force you to abort the child, she should be able to think of a way."

He forced a stiff smile and spoke in a soft, comforting voice, though he himself didn't believe it as he spoke.

Ji Yuan remained silent upon hearing these words, which was taken as tacit agreement, and he also wanted to offer Ling Feng some psychological comfort.

Knowing that the men were genuinely worried about him, Ling Feng stopped being indifferent and his expression softened slightly.

“I know it was my own choice to have this child, and I was prepared for this outcome. It’s already good that she can accept the child, so why would I blame her?”

After speaking, Ling Feng wanted to put their minds at ease, so he tried to give them a relaxed smile, but when he moved his lips, he felt a little stiff, so he simply shut his mouth.

It seems he needs to practice smiling more in the future. He always has a straight face in the pavilion, and he doesn't know how to smile when he wants to.

Seeing his strange expression, the others assumed he was just too heartbroken, but he had to put on a brave face in front of them. They felt terrible for him, but also a little sorry for him.

"Young Master Ling, shall we eat some more with you?"

Seeing that there was still more than half a bowl of porridge left, and not wanting to cause too much worry, Lin Xi quickly changed the subject.

Ling Feng was so preoccupied with thinking about the baby that he didn't eat much. In total, he hadn't eaten much all day, which is not the amount a pregnant man should eat.

Ling Feng clearly knew his limits, nodded slightly, and sat back down in his seat without saying a word.

"Is it getting a little cold? There's still some left in the bowl, let's get another one!"

Ling Feng nodded again, and Ji Yuan quickly had someone hand over the small cup.

The room returned to silence, with only the clinking of bowls and chopsticks. Ji Yuan and the others didn't eat much, and only Qin Ange at the table still had a good appetite, truly keeping Ling Feng company.

After the meal, the group went for a stroll in the back garden as usual, with Ling Feng accompanying them. They didn't head back until it was almost dark and they could no longer see each other.

Cuihua Courtyard.

It was already dark, but the house was brightly lit, and the whole courtyard was quiet, except for Nanfeng, who was still dutifully guarding outside.

Suddenly, a series of "click-clack" sounds came from inside the house, and Nanfeng immediately held his breath in alarm.

After listening carefully and confirming that there were no other noises inside, I gently knocked on the door.

"Master, is there something you need?"

"It's alright, you can go back and rest now." Su Qinghe's strong voice came from inside the house.

Nanfeng waited a while longer before taking his leave.

Inside the room, Su Qinghe held a Desert Eagle in her hand, and she was methodically loading the metallic bullets into the magazine.

After both magazines were filled, Su Qinghe tossed her hands; they were a bit heavy, but still bearable.

Standing up from her seat, Su Qinghe looked around the room, but ultimately couldn't bring herself to do anything to her own room.

We still need to save money!

With a sigh, Su Qinghe strode out the door, looked around the yard again, and finally fixed her gaze on a large tree 80 meters away.

"I'll use you as a test case first."

Su Qinghe muttered to herself, raised her arm, quickly cocked the gun, narrowed her eyes, and pulled the trigger.

"bump!"

A gunshot rang out, and Su Qinghe felt a tingling sensation in her arm. She frowned and shook her arm.

"As expected, with limited resources, we can't produce anything decent!"

Su Qinghe turned and went into the house. A short while later, she came out with a lantern. She quickly walked to the tree and shone the lantern on it, soon finding a round hole about the thickness of a thumb.

Su Qinghe took a closer look but didn't see any bullets. She then moved behind the tree. Since the bullets hadn't penetrated the tree, it was still passable.

It seems that the range of 80 is not a problem at all. Judging from the penetration power just now, it can even go further.

Su Qinghe was satisfied. She took one last look at the somewhat charred tree hole, then picked up her lantern and went back into the house.

She brought in a lot of materials today. Now that she's confirmed there are no problems, she'll finish making all the bullets in that big box. It should last her a while.

With the Desert Eagle tucked into the pocket she had deliberately left open, Su Qinghe tightened her cuffs and began the meticulous work, finally finishing it just before dawn.

Stretching, Su Qinghe stood up, picked up the large, powerful box, walked around the room, and finally stuffed it under her bed.

"I bought too much!"

Looking at the pile of materials still left on the table, Su Qinghe slapped her forehead.

"Well, it looks like there are just enough for one. Let's get them out first, and then we'll order a batch of shells to order another day!"

Without hesitation, Su Qinghe sat back down in her seat while it was still early.
