Chapter 122 Coexistence

"What I mean is that it's too messy here, and your bed too..."

Su Qinghe looked at it through the moonlight streaming in through the broken window and saw that it was indeed partially collapsed.

After thinking about it, I decided it wasn't a good idea to bother the men in the house so late, especially since there weren't many empty rooms left in Cuihua Court.

"Let's go."

Su Qinghe said something indifferently and walked past Ling Feng. Upon seeing this, Ling Feng quickly followed.

Nanfeng was worried and wanted to go too, but Su Qinghe told her to stay at Cuihua Courtyard.

The lights in the mansion had already been turned off. Su Qinghe carried a lantern and walked ahead. Because of the cold night, she walked quickly, and Ling Feng followed behind her with some difficulty.

"Young master, please slow down! Young master."

Xiaoying nervously supported Ling Feng, not daring to be careless for a moment, afraid that he would trip. She looked up at Su Qinghe's back in front of her, opened her mouth but did not say anything.

Hearing the noise behind her, Su Qinghe remembered that Ling Feng was pregnant and quickly stopped in her tracks.

"Sorry, I forgot."

Su Qinghe turned around with the lantern and saw that Ling Feng's forehead was already damp with a thin layer of sweat, and a look of annoyance appeared on her face.

Ling Feng was taken aback by her reaction, but his face remained expressionless. "Thank you."

After saying that, he wiped the sweat from his face and hurried over to Su Qinghe's side.

"Let's go," he said after pausing for a moment.

Su Qinghe remained silent, turned around, and continued walking forward.

Noticing that Su Qinghe had slowed her pace, Ling Feng felt a warmth in his heart and followed beside her at a leisurely pace.

Xiao Ying gave Su Qinghe a strange look, unsure of her temperament.

How can she be so heartless to her young master one moment and so considerate the next?

Apart from a few chirps of insects, the group remained silent the entire way. Xiaoying pondered this the whole way but still couldn't figure it out.

"You can sleep in my bed! Xiaoying and I will sleep together."

Inside Qianfeng Garden, the group quickly entered the house. Ling Feng led Su Qinghe to the bedside in the inner room, said this, and then turned to leave.

Su Qinghe frowned and called the person to a stop.

“I remember that the side bedroom where all the servants in the courtyard live is very small, basically only enough for one person. You are pregnant, so I'm afraid you won’t be able to fit in.”

She was indeed telling the truth.

"Since it's already past midnight, we might as well just stay here together. We've already done what we should and shouldn't have done, haven't we? Are you afraid of me?"

Su Qinghe glanced at him with amusement, then took off her outer robe and lay down on it.

Ling Feng opened his mouth, about to refuse, but Xiao Ying tugged at his sleeve.

“Young master, my bed is indeed small… What Patriarch Su said makes sense, so perhaps…”

He whispered in Ling Feng's ear, this time siding with Su Qinghe.

Ling Feng didn't insist and nodded gently. "Okay, then you can go ahead."

Seeing that he agreed, Xiaoying decisively left, but still gave him a word of advice before leaving.

"If anything happens, please call me anytime, young master."

Ling Feng exchanged a glance with him to indicate that he understood, and only moved behind the screen to change his clothes after the other person left.

Do you usually sleep on the outside of your bed?

Standing in front of the bed, looking at Su Qinghe's body stretching from one end of the bed to the other, Ling Feng asked.

"Mmm." Su Qinghe responded lazily with her eyes closed, pulling her legs up a little to make room for him.

Seeing her like this, Ling Feng said no more and carefully climbed through the gap to the inside.

He slowly lay down, supporting his belly. Noticing there was still space next to him, he moved over a bit, leaving enough room for almost another person to fit between them.

Su Qinghe felt a chill on her back and turned around in confusion.

"You'll catch a cold like that."

Looking at the blanket that was being propped up between the two of them, Su Qinghe frowned. Too lazy to call him, she simply moved over with her pillow, and only stopped moving after the blanket on both of them had collapsed back down.

Ever since he learned that Su Qinghe was moving toward him, Ling Feng couldn't help but stiffen. Although he was certain that she wouldn't do anything to him, he just couldn't control his stiffness.

After a while, Ling Feng felt the warmth emanating from Su Qinghe beside him. Feeling uncomfortable, he frowned and changed from lying flat to lying on his side, his face almost touching the wall.

He lay there for a while, then felt a wave of discomfort in his abdomen, and with a cold expression, he changed to lie flat on his back.

The quiet room was filled with Su Qinghe's breathing. Ling Feng lay awake, feeling inexplicably agitated, his body stiff and unable to relax.

After a while, he gently turned his head and looked at Su Qinghe beside him.

The woman looked clearer with her eyes closed than when she was awake.

Knowing that staring at someone would wake them up, Ling Feng only looked for a few seconds before turning his head back, closing his eyes and forcing himself to sleep. He fell asleep without realizing it.

Early the next morning.

Almost the instant Su Qinghe got up, Ling Feng opened his eyes. After seeing the woman already getting dressed, Ling Feng also got out of bed.

"Are you busy? If not, you can sleep in a little longer. It's quiet at home anyway."

Su Qinghe quickly straightened her cuffs, and out of the corner of her eye, she caught sight of Ling Feng changing clothes behind the screen, and spoke up to remind him.

Ling Feng didn't reply until he finished tidying up and came out from behind the screen.

"I'm used to waking up early, so I can't fall back asleep."

Su Qinghe nodded in understanding, took a sip of her herbal tea, and strode out the door. Ling Feng followed her out.

"You've chosen a good spot; it's suitable for practicing martial arts."

"It's close by, so it's convenient," Ling Feng replied casually.

Su Qinghe didn't say anything. She looked around and found a spacious place to start practicing her boxing.

Ling Feng stood under the corridor, staring intently. When he saw her peculiar boxing techniques and movements, a hint of doubt appeared in his eyes.

"What kind of fist technique is this?" Ling Feng asked when she stopped.

Su Qinghe glanced back at him, then held up a finger and shook it. "I'm not telling you."

After saying that, she started the second set of questions.

Ling Feng paused for a moment, his face remaining calm, and without saying another word, he turned and went into the house.

"Young master, tea."

Xiaoying was carrying freshly brewed tea and was about to pour it for Lingfeng when she was stopped.

"I took the tea set to the stone table outside and drank it there."

After Xiaoying left, Ling Feng deliberately sat inside for a while before going out again.

Seeing that Su Qinghe was still practicing her boxing, he glanced at her and walked over to the stone bench to sit down.

"Pour a glass of water for Patriarch Su to cool down."

Xiaoying was taken aback, glanced at Ling Feng's expression, and obediently poured herself a glass.

Ling Feng quietly sipped his tea, his eyes following Su Qinghe's movements, his ears filled with the sound of her fists cutting through the air.

"Phew~"

Finishing with a punch, Su Qinghe took out a handkerchief to wipe her sweat. Seeing that Ling Feng was still looking at her, she raised an eyebrow and walked towards him.

Seeing the extra cup of tea on the table, he immediately put it in his mouth.

"Hmm, he still has some awareness of being a husband."
