Chapter 158 Like Jelly

After the meal, everyone dispersed, and Su Qinghe followed them out, not returning until it was time to rest.

If nothing unexpected happens, she should stay with Ling Feng for the next few days, just in case.

There was the sound of a baby crying inside the house. When Su Qinghe entered the house, she saw Ling Feng holding a child and breastfeeding him.

"Having two children at once is a bit of a hassle."

Because the two are exactly the same, different colors were used for the small sheets that wrapped them to make them easier to distinguish.

Su Qinghe approached, took the little girl from Xiaoying's hands, and then chased the person away.

Ling Feng then noticed Su Qinghe and hurriedly adjusted his clothes, covering the child with the thin nightgown as well.

He looked at Su Qinghe somewhat awkwardly. "Why didn't you spend more time with them to digest your food?"

Su Qinghe shook her arm, but the child continued to cry. "He ate little today, he'll be hungry again if we walk around for a while longer."

Seeing that Ling Feng was still in that position, Su Qinghe frowned. "You'll suffocate the baby like that."

Upon hearing this, Ling Feng hurriedly opened his clothes again, but when facing Su Qinghe, he still subtly raised his arm, though it had little effect.

Su Qinghe chuckled inwardly; the longer they spent together, the more Ling Feng's little tricks became.

The baby girl in her arms was still crying, but Su Qinghe was very patient, raising her hand to gently pat her back.

"Why don't you feed her first?" she asked, somewhat curious.

People here should care more about girls.

Ling Feng didn't even look up. "Girls should endure some hardship so they can stand tall and proud in the future."

He held the child in one arm and stroked the child's sparse hair with the other, seemingly unconcerned about the crying.

“Being hungry for a while won’t hurt her, and besides, she’s the younger sister, so it’s only right that we protect her older brother.”

After hearing his words, Su Qinghe looked at him with surprise.

She can understand the first point, but the idea that the younger sister should protect the older brother is just the same as the idea that the younger brother should protect the older sister in modern times.

I never expected him to have such progressive ideas.

Su Qinghe sat down on the edge of the bed in a good mood. Upon seeing this, Ling Feng quickly crossed his arms and covered his chest.

Su Qinghe smiled and pretended not to see it, raising her hand. "How long have you been feeding that? Change it when it's about time. Even so, it's not good to ruin your throat by crying."

Ling Feng gave a soft "hmm". "It's been a while."

As he spoke, he tried to move his arm outwards, but felt a strong suction coming from his chest, so he quickly stopped.

He glanced at Su Qinghe, his questioning intent all too clear.

Su Qinghe blinked. "He hasn't grown any teeth yet." The meaning couldn't be clearer.

Seeing Ling Feng hesitate, she pretended to put the child in her arms on the bed.

"If you can't exert yourself properly, I can help you. We're all so familiar with each other anyway," Su Qinghe said with a smile to Ling Feng.

"No need to trouble yourself! I can manage on my own," Ling Feng quickly declined.

Knowing Su Qinghe's nature well, and fearing she might not be able to wait and would start taking action directly, he didn't hesitate to pull the child, who was still sucking on a pacifier, away.

"!"

In that instant, a strange feeling surged within him, and Ling Feng's body trembled almost imperceptibly. When he looked at Su Qinghe again, his expression turned somewhat resentful.

A strand of silver thread ran down the child's mouth and into some unknown place. Ling Feng noticed it and quickly wiped it away.

"Wow!"

The little guy, who was enjoying his meal, was suddenly interrupted and burst into a deafening cry.

He couldn't open his eyes yet, so he couldn't find his way. His mouth was still in the same position, and he sucked on it haphazardly a few times. When he found there was nothing there, he cried even harder.

Perhaps because he was full and had the strength, his cries completely drowned out the girl's cries, making everyone who heard them tremble.

Ling Feng's eyes became even more resentful.

Su Qinghe's expression changed; she no longer appreciated the alluring scenery before her, and took the boy and handed the girl over.

This time, Ling Feng switched to feeding the other side.

Su Qinghe patted her hand lightly. "As long as he's not hungry, he'll be fine after a while."

And that was indeed the case. The one who drank the milk was quickly soothed to sleep, and Ling Feng's expression improved considerably. He dutifully stroked the little girl's hair as well.

Su Qinghe patted the baby to help him burp, but her eyes were fixed on Ling Feng.

Because of his pregnancy, his chest was much fuller than before, a change that only occurred a month before he gave birth. Lin Xi and the others were the same.

But from the outside, it still doesn't look like a woman's size, except for women without breasts, of course.

They are currently the same size as Qin Ange's pectoral muscles, but they will return to their original size after the children are weaned.

It felt bouncy like jelly to the touch, something she had noticed from Ji Yuan the other day out of curiosity.

Ling Feng finished smoothing his hair and looked up, immediately meeting Su Qinghe's gaze. Their eyes met, and Su Qinghe coughed lightly, guiltily turning her head away.

Ling Feng was stunned for a moment, his ears turned slightly red, and he lowered his head again.

After the two little ones had finished eating, Su Qinghe put them back in their cribs, one in each arm.

After a quick wash, Su Qinghe helped Ling Feng lie down, then extinguished the candles and got into bed.

The two remained silent, both feeling tired today, and soon fell into a deep sleep.

In the middle of the night, Su Qinghe was awakened by a slight noise beside her. She propped herself up and looked at Ling Feng in the darkness.

"Is it hurting badly again?"

She reached out and touched his forehead; it wasn't hot, only covered in fine beads of sweat.

"Do you need to take medicine?" Su Qinghe asked with concern.

"No." Ling Feng reached out and tugged at Su Qinghe's sleeve, his voice weak and feeble.

"You just need to rest. I'll get used to it after a while. It won't hurt as much as it does during the day."

As he spoke, he slowly moved closer to Su Qinghe.

Su Qinghe looked at him in silence for a long time, a hint of heartache flashing in her eyes, but in the end she still didn't go to get him the medicine.

"If it hurts, you can hold onto me."

Su Qinghe spoke softly, extending one hand while using the other to take a handkerchief from the bedside table to wipe his sweat.

Although the effects of the painkiller had mostly worn off, there was still some left, and Ling Feng was no longer sweating profusely and soaking his clothes from the pain as before.

Ling Feng held Su Qinghe's hand. Although it didn't stop the pain, it made him feel a little better, so he unconsciously gripped it tighter.

He was in so much pain that Su Qinghe couldn't sleep either, so she changed the subject.

"We'll name our daughter Ling Cheng. Son, do you have any good ideas?"

Hearing Su Qinghe's question, Ling Feng shook his head.

Su Qinghe continued to guide him downwards.

"Then why don't you think about it now? I've been thinking about it all afternoon, but I really can't come up with a good one. You can help me out, so it won't hurt so much."

Upon hearing this, Ling Feng obediently nodded again, his thoughts drifting away.

Noticing that the man had visibly relaxed a little, Su Qinghe breathed a sigh of relief; this method had indeed worked.
