Chapter 336: Transformed into Tang Monk 3

After having a vegetarian meal at Liu Bochin's house, Chu Qi saw the sun setting in the sky and it was getting dark, so he stayed at Liu Bochin's house for one night.

On the second day, after having another delicious vegetarian meal prepared by a top chef, Chu Qi said goodbye to Liu Bochin, who tried again and again to keep her, and continued on her journey to the West to obtain Buddhist scriptures.

The journey was uneventful, and she encountered no ferocious beasts or poisonous snakes blocking her way. She arrived at Liangjie Mountain in late autumn.

Liangjie Mountain was originally the Five Elements Mountain in Journey to the West, where the Buddha suppressed Sun Wukong. Later, because the emperor of the Tang Dynasty conquered the west to settle the country, it was renamed Liangjie Mountain.

Chu Qi didn’t watch TV in her childhood, so she doesn’t have a childhood filter for Sun Wukong.

But his lively and agile character and his hatred of evil won her heart, not to mention that he was her mission target. Thinking of meeting him, Chu Qi couldn't help but get excited and her face flushed slightly.

Her hard work of climbing hundreds of mountains paid off, as she finally saw the target of her mission!

From afar, she saw a yellow monkey lying at the foot of the Five Finger Mountain.

The original owner's eyesight was already the best, and with the blessing of Chu Qi's own soul, his eyesight became even better.

She saw the monkey scratching its ears and cheeks, as if it was itchy, and couldn't help thinking that it hadn't taken a bath for 500 years, so there must be a mountain of fleas on its body!

But then I thought, the monkey can perform magic, and a mere flea would definitely not be able to crawl onto his body.

Sun Wukong also saw the bald man in the jeweled robe in the distance. His flaming eyes suddenly sparkled with excitement, and his expression was beyond words:

"Excuse me, are you the monk who went to the West to seek Buddhist scriptures? I am Sun Wukong, the disciple appointed to you by Guanyin Bodhisattva!"

Chu Qi did not reply. She hurried to the monkey and then slowly chanted a Buddhist name, "I am the monk who went to the West to obtain Buddhist scriptures. What can I do to save you?"

Chu Qi had read the original novel, but the original owner didn't understand it. She couldn't easily expose herself. If she did, she was really afraid that the Tathagata Buddha in the West would dig up her soul and examine it...

This is a world with gods and Buddhas! It could be dangerous if you never know.

Speaking of danger…

In fact, isn’t rescuing Sun Wukong a dangerous act?

So, she probably followed the original story and started chatting with Sun Wukong, while planning in her mind that maybe she should buy some props from the system. At worst, it would be nice to have some invincible skills that could punch Tathagata and kick the saints!

In the original novel, the journey took thirteen years. In other words, Chu Qi had at least thirteen years to prepare. If she dragged on along the way, she could buy more time.

"That's easy, Master. Just remove the sticker on the top of the mountain, and I, Old Sun, will be able to get out!"

Sun Wukong was very anxious. He scratched his head and pointed to the top of the mountain.

"I see. Just wait."

Chu Qi nodded, then slowly placed the heavy nine-ring staff on the ground, wiped the sweat from her forehead, and climbed up the mountain with difficulty.

After finally climbing to the top of the mountain, she leaned out from the top and stretched out her hand to reach the pressure pad.

This scene is really thrilling. If you are not careful, you can easily fall down and be smashed to pieces.

The Bodhisattva who was hiding in the dark and peeping could not help but sweat for Tang Seng, thinking to himself that Tang Seng was too unreliable. How could he be so stupid? Couldn't he use his wits to outwit the enemy? Use your brain, use your brain!

Chu Qi tried for a while, but finally gave up. She couldn't reach it.

At the foot of the mountain, Sun Wukong raised his head and tried to look up, but his vision was blocked and he could not see anything. He called out anxiously, "Master! Are you still not well?"

Tang Monk on the top of the mountain also shouted back, "I can't feel the pressure sticker!"

"..." The monkey was dumbfounded, "How come I can't touch it? Is Tathagata trying to trick me?!"

After waiting for a while, Tang Seng came down from the mountain.

Chu Qi stood in front of the monkey, thought for a moment, and said, "Maybe sincerity is needed."

She stepped back a few steps, knelt down facing the mountain, looked at the golden characters, bowed a few times, and then looked west and recited the original lines: "Disciple Chen Xuanzang, I have been ordered to obtain the scriptures. If I am qualified as a disciple, I will uncover the golden characters, rescue the monkey god, and witness the sacred mountain together. If I am not qualified as a disciple, this person is a vicious and stubborn monster who is trying to deceive my disciples. It will not be auspicious and I will not be able to uncover the characters." After she finished her blessing, she bowed again.

After a while, a fragrant breeze blew over, blowing the stickers into the air, and a voice shouted:

"I am the prisoner of the Great Saint. Today his trial is over. We will return to see the Tathagata and hand over this envelope."

I only hear the voice but don't see the person.

Chu Qi hurriedly bowed respectfully to the voice, and waited for a while, but heard nothing further, so she said to the monkey: "The sticker has been removed, can you come out?"

Sun Wukong felt the suppressing force and was delighted to find that it was really gone.

He said happily, "Master, please move away. I am about to come out. Don't disturb you."

Chu Qi led the white horse away, without taking the nine-ring staff.

Even the Bodhisattva lost his temper. He never expected that Jin Chanzi, after being a good person for nine lifetimes, would be so... so rude in the tenth lifetime!

He treated the nine-ring staff he had given him like this time and again, running away without even taking it with him.

After walking three miles, Chu Qi heard the monkey shouting, "Go further, go further!"

It was not until she had retreated a long way down the mountain that the monkey said, "Master, it's done!"

There was a sudden earthquake, mountains collapsed and the ground cracked, there was a loud bang, and sand and rocks flew everywhere.

Chu Qi raised his sleeves to cover his head to block the falling debris and pebbles, and squinted his eyes.

"Hey hey hey, I, Old Sun, am coming out! I, Old Sun, am coming out!!"

Sun Wukong roared excitedly. A few seconds later, he rushed to Chu Qi, knelt down and kowtowed four times: "Thank you for saving me, Master. I will do my best to protect you until you reach the West!"

The mountain road was too steep to ride a horse, so Chu Qi put her luggage on the back of the white horse. The Zen stick was too long to be conveniently placed, so she carried it herself.

The master and the disciple walked and talked, and before they knew it, Chu Qi's Zen stick was in Wukong's hand and he was holding it.

Without any burden, Chu Qi felt relaxed and could just concentrate on leading the horse.

Time passed, and before I knew it, it was already dark, the sun was setting in the west, and a crescent moon appeared in the sky.

Sun Wukong skipped ahead, raised his hand to cover his forehead, observed carefully for a moment and said, "It's getting late, Master, please walk faster. I see some dense trees over there, I think that must be someone's home, let's go over there and ask for shelter."

Chu Qi jumped on the horse and said, "Master is ready."

"Master, hold on tight!" Sun Wukong suddenly had an idea and slapped the white horse's butt with his whip. The white horse felt the pain and rushed forward like a fly.

Sun Wukong followed closely behind, flying behind.

The white horse stopped in front of the farmyard.

Wukong went to the door and called: "Open the door! Open the door!"

Not long after, the door was opened from the inside. A gray-haired old man poked his head out and saw a man wearing a tiger skin and looking evil, like a living thunder god. His legs and feet immediately went weak and he screamed, "A ghost is coming! A ghost is coming!"

"Hey, old man, take a closer look at who I am. I saw you when you were a kid! Don't you remember me, Old Sun?"

As soon as the old man came out, the monkey started laughing.

"Ah?" The old man was in a panic and tried to close the door, but the monkey held him down and he couldn't close it. He was even more panicked and was stunned. He looked at Sun Wukong carefully and found that he looked familiar. "It's the Great Sage! You came out of the Five Elements Mountain!"
