Chapter 46 The Mermaid's Revenge

"What is that...?"

"A floating mermaid?!"

Not only Chu Qi, but other crew members who stayed on the deck to observe the situation also discovered the strange situation and showed shocked expressions.

The mermaid, who was being closely watched by everyone, changed her singing from sweet and melodious to high-pitched and shrill, and an invisible sound wave impacted all the humans present.

"My head hurts so much! Haa ...

The crew members rolled on the deck, holding their ears, and were almost thrown into the sea by the swaying and rocking ship.

Chu Qi realized that there was something wrong with the singing, so she immediately squatted down, covered her head with clothes, and blocked her ears with her hands.

The whole person on the deck was uncontrollable, rolling back and forth with the shaking of the ship.

The captain and his deputies, who were hiding in the cockpit and controlling the direction of the bow, were also affected by the mermaid's singing, causing shock to their brains and unbearable pain.

Even consciousness became blurred.

They began to control the direction of movement randomly.

Until it followed the track given by the mermaid and hit an iceberg!

Before the ship hit the iceberg, Chu Qi and other crew members jumped off the boat in panic and plunged into the icy sea.

In the end, the captain, two deputies, and ten crew members who had hidden in the cabin in advance were trapped inside the ship due to the iceberg collision and could not escape.

The seawater poured in, the hull gradually sank to the bottom of the sea, and the people trapped inside also died together.

Twenty-three people went out to sea, thirteen died along with the ship, leaving ten people.

The mermaid rescued by Chu Qi was held in the arms of a tall mermaid with black hair and red eyes. Her green tail swam vigorously, and she found Chu Qi according to the guidance of the red-tailed mermaid.

The tall mermaid stretched out her palm and slapped Chu Qi hard on the head.

Chu Qi rolled her eyes and fainted on the spot.

The fainted Chu Qi was grabbed by the back by the tall mermaid and lifted to the surface of the sea to breathe so that she would not be choked to death by the sea water.

Then the tall mermaid said coldly: "Well, the other humans can be dealt with."

She spoke the language of the merpeople.

"Yes, King!"

The other mermaids received the order, grinning with bloodthirsty smiles, and pounced on the other nine crew members quickly, fiercely and accurately, like a dog catching a mouse.

When the mermaids saw the miserable condition of the little princess, the flames of hatred extinguished their sanity.

If the little princess had not asked to save one person, the crew members would have been killed by the mermaids the moment they jumped into the sea. How could they have had time to breathe and struggle?

"What are you going to do with this human, my dear Salina?"

The king with black hair, red eyes and a green fish tail asked the red-tailed mermaid for her opinion in the language of the mermaids.

The red-tailed mermaid Salina pondered for a moment after hearing this, and said in the mermaid language: "He saved me, so I don't plan to kill him. I'll just put him on my pet island!"

"As you wish."

Wang gave a slightly gentle smile, which was fleeting.

When Chu Qi woke up again, she found herself lying on soft grass, with the blue sky above her head and the mysterious sound of flowing sea water in her ears.

She felt a furry thing beside her.

She was startled and turned her head to see that it was a cute black puppy.

Where is this...?

"Hiss... my head hurts..."

Chu Qi sat up, covering her head and groaning. She remembered that she had fainted because of a violent attack by a mermaid.

At that time, she thought she was going to die, but she didn't expect to wake up on land.

What exactly happened?

The mermaid didn't kill her but saved her and even sent her back to land?

Chu Qi was full of questions. She stood up and looked around, but found that she did not seem to have returned to the mainland, but was on an island.

The island was not big, about the size of three basketball courts. There were coconut trees and other trees she didn't recognize growing in groups of three or two on the island.

The terrain of the island was very flat, with mostly weeds growing on it. There was even a doghouse made of plastic bags between two big trees, with a big dog nursing a baby inside.

I guess the little black puppy that rubbed against her hand when she just woke up was born by this big dog.

"Woof~" The big dog didn't seem to be afraid of people at all, and wagged its tail enthusiastically at Chu Qi.

The little black puppy ran back and threw itself into its mother's arms to grab the food.

The other two puppies were fiercely pushed aside by the black puppy, and they huddled aside, whimpering in grievance.

The mother dog grabbed the black puppy by the neck and moved it slightly to the side so that the other two children could have milk.

"What...place is this?" Chu Qi was stunned. He walked to the shore and looked at the sea. There was nothing but blue water. Not to mention land, there was not a single person in sight.

Could it be that she is going to start surviving on a deserted island with four dogs?

Wait, that’s not right. There doesn’t seem to be anything to eat on this island except coconuts. How did the dog survive?

"Dog, do you have an owner?"

Chu Qi walked back and squatted down to talk to the dog.

The dog can't speak, so how can it answer? It opened its mouth and panted. When Chu Qi stretched out her hand tentatively, it took the initiative to stretch its head and rubbed the palm of Chu Qi's hand.

Suddenly, the dog seemed to have discovered something and stood up. The three puppies who were eating were caught off guard and thrown aside by their mother.

The big dog didn't care. It hummed and cried happily and acted like a spoiled child, its tail almost leaving a shadow, and it quickly rushed to the shore in two steps.

Chu Qi turned around and saw a mermaid with black hair and a red tail leaning against the shore with her upper body, throwing up an eel that looked to weigh more than ten pounds.

The big dog acted coquettishly towards the mermaid for a while, then grabbed the eel and ran back to the doghouse to chew it.

Salina was still lying on the shore, staring at Chu Qi with her two beautiful and deep eyes.

Her arm, which had been twisted backwards last night, seemed to be healed today.

She stared at Chu Qi with a bit of curiosity, but no aggressive look.

Chu Qi guessed that it was she who brought her here, so she walked over and asked, "Hello, did you save me?"

"Yeah." Salina switched to human language and said, "You saved me once, and I saved you once, so we're even."

"But," Chu Qi smiled bitterly and said helplessly, "If you just leave me here like this, without food or water, I will starve to death sooner or later."

"Hmm..." Salina groaned, then said, "You wait."

She spun around and dived into the sea at such an incredible speed that in the blink of an eye even the fish's tail could not be seen.

The sun above my head is not too strong, it shines gently on my body and makes me feel warm.

Maybe it’s because the sea water is too cold, which makes the sunlight seem even warmer.

Despite this, Chu Qi cannot stay in the sun for too long, as it will increase the rate of water loss.

Chu Qi turned around and went back to the big tree to wait in the cool shade.
