Trade-offs

Trade-offs

Share a house? With Qi Wuchen?

Jiang Han looked at him somewhat confusedly, as if he was wondering whether he should do this or not.

Qi Wuchen seemed to be able to see his hesitation, and shook off the ash from his cigarette twice and said, "It's a three-bedroom apartment. If you come, you don't have to pay rent. Just take care of my three meals a day on weekends."

Ling Jianghan still didn't say anything, just stared at the scenery outside in a daze.

Qi Wuchen didn't rush him and waited patiently for his reply.

This house was bought by Ling Jingshan for Ling Jianghan before his death. Although he had only lived here for less than a month, he would be somewhat reluctant to leave.

But Ling Yiyan was a thick-skinned person, and even Jiang Han couldn't guarantee that something like today wouldn't happen again. Qi Wuchen had already helped him twice by chance, so was he going to gamble on the third and fourth times?

After a few times, Ling Jianghan's patience with Ling Yiyan has been exhausted. He always chooses to give up a thing or an object just because he thinks it is troublesome, and the house that Ling Jingshan bought for him is no exception.

Besides, this is just a temporary move, not something I'll never come back.

Based on his understanding of Ling Yiyan, he might have to move out within half a year to avoid debt.

So Jiang Han weighed it over and over again and finally agreed.

Qi Wuchen breathed a sigh of relief after receiving a reassuring answer. He put out his cigarette and said, "Then pack up the things you need tomorrow so I can have someone help you move them down."

"Who are you calling?" Ling Jianghan stared at him and asked, "Sheng Yao and the others?"

Qi Wuchen was stunned for a moment before he laughed out loud: "I won't bother them this time. My driver will help me move my things over tomorrow, and will move yours as well."

Ling Jianghan stared at him for a long time, and finally said thank you.

Qi Wuchen lowered his eyes and didn't look at him. He let out a long breath and said with an unclear emotion: "We have known each other for a while, so I will help you if I can."

When doing homework in the evening, Ling Jianghan wrote down the things that needed to be moved on a piece of paper and handed it to Qi Wuchen.

Qi Wuchen took the photo and sent it to Uncle Wang, preparing to continue working on his homework when Ling Jianghan, standing next to him, suddenly asked without warning, "How much of what was said in the corridor did you hear?"

Qi Wuchen paused for a moment, picked up his pen and wrote twice on the paper before answering: "I didn't hear anything, I just saw that he was still trying to attack you."

When Qi Wuchen thought of the scene in the corridor just now, he felt an indescribable dull pain in his heart.

"Then do you know why he wants to attack me?" Ling Jiang Han stopped writing and looked at him.

"I don't know." It certainly wasn't your fault.

"Ling Yiyan was sent to prison by my grandparents when I was four years old. Ling Shengyi, a fool who only wanted to take the civil service exam, didn't know about it yet, so I just told him the good news."

"Oh," Qi Wuchen's expression remained unchanged as he spoke calmly, "Your grandparents are quite understanding people. They were willing to personally send their son to prison to give him a chance to reform."

"Aren't you surprised?" Jiang Han asked him curiously.

"What's surprising?" Qi Wuchen paused and looked at him calmly, then lowered his head and continued, "If it were you, you would send that bastard to jail without mercy."

His tone was so confident that it couldn't be more so. If you didn't know them, you might think they were close friends who had known each other for many years.

Jiang Han obviously felt that his confidence was too great. He propped up his chin and looked at him intently, asking, "Qi Wuchen, do you know me well?"

The doubt in his tone can be described with the word "obvious".

"Tsk." Qi Wuchen propped up his chin and looked at Ling Jianghan with a smile.

More than understanding, I also love you.

He was just thinking about this. Qi Wuchen smoothly spun the pen in his right hand a few times, then caught it firmly and leaned closer to Ling Jianghan: "Hey, how about you..."

Before he could even finish the sentence "Guess why I know you so well", Jiang Han suddenly moved to the side, increasing the distance between them by a millimeter.

"Qi Wuchen," Ling Jianghan first called him in a very cold tone, then stared at Qi Wuchen, who had not yet reacted, with an expressionless face and asked, "Do you despise me?"

Qi Wuchen's eyes became clear at this moment: "?"

What? ? ?

He, does he?
