After the long holiday, Jiang Ning arranged for the students to change seats on the first day of returning to school. Jiang Han and Qi Wuchen remained in their original seats, while Sheng Yao and Hu Chen moved a row forward, a little closer to them.
In the evening, Ling Jianghan went to the office after school. Qi Wuchen waited for a while at the school gate before going home with him.
When they came back, Cheng Yan was cutting fruit in the kitchen. After taking a shower, Jiang Han went into his bedroom and prepared to get his phone which was charging on the bedside table.
There were two mobile phones of the same size on the bedside table. Jiang Han unplugged his own phone and charged the other one.
Qi Wuchen's phone is the same model as his, and their phone cases happen to be both black, so it's really hard to tell them apart when they are put together.
"Ling Jianghan," Qi Wuchen's voice came from outside the door, "Help me look over today's English later."
"Got it," Ling Jianghan replied to Jiang Ning's message on his phone while speaking to Qi Wuchen outside the door. "On the coffee table are two packages that Aunt Cheng picked up for me today. Unpack them and take them into your bedroom."
Qi Wuchen responded and left, causing another message from Jiang Ning to pop up on Jiang Han's phone screen: [No more cell phones allowed to come to school. If you do this again, I'll call your parents directly.]
[I won’t do that again, thank you teacher.]
Jiang Ning on the other side said: "It's because you've made great progress this time, otherwise I wouldn't have returned your phone. Go to bed early, you have classes tomorrow."
Ling Jianghan gave an OK expression and typed back: [Okay, you go to bed early too.]
After replying the message, he went to check how much battery Qi Wuchen's phone had, but he was stunned after pressing the power button.
Qi Wuchen's phone even has the same wallpaper as his, which is also a completely white wallpaper.
Jiang Han's expression was rarely blank for a moment.
Hell, even cell phones have long-lost cousins these days.
Ling Jiang Han put Qi Wuchen's phone back on the bedside table to continue charging, intending to return it to its original owner after it was fully charged.
He took his cell phone and prepared to go to Qi Wuchen's bedroom. Cheng Yan, who had just come out of the kitchen, asked him to bring in a plate of cut fruit and reminded them not to do their homework too late.
Ling Jianghan nodded in agreement and pushed the door open. As soon as he put the plate of fruit on the table, Qi Wuchen looked at him with a puzzled look: "Classmate, who else enjoys doing homework as much as you do?"
"Just sit down by yourself," Ling Jianghan sat on his swivel chair, then reached out and moved the pillow behind him, "It's not like I didn't buy it for you."
"No," Qi Wuchen smiled and sat down next to him, "I just didn't expect you to buy this."
Ling Jianghan pulled out an English paper of his own and said slowly, "Homework is nothing but writing, so why not write it comfortably?"
"You're right," Qi Wuchen handed his English paper to Ling Jianghan, "Check the answers for me quickly."
When it came to the cloze test at the end, Jiang Han raised his head and looked into the eyes of the person next to him.
Qi Wuchen felt a little nervous when he looked at him and was about to ask something.
Then Ling Jianghan said, "Didn't you ask me before how I managed to get all the math multiple-choice questions wrong?"
Qi Wuchen, who had almost understood everything, said: "..."
He originally wanted to ask himself whether he was right about one or both, making a last-ditch effort.
Ling Jianghan pressed his paper to his hand and gave a cold and ruthless order: "Rewrite it."
Qi Wuchen resigned himself to his fate and moved the half-solved physics test paper aside, then obediently rewrote it with a look of despair.
Twenty minutes later, Qi Wuchen slumped over on the table with his head drooping, as if all his energy had been sucked out by the English test paper.
"Is it that serious?" Jiang Han looked at him with amusement.
Qi Wuchen didn't respond. He slowly raised his head and picked up his pen to continue writing the physics test. Perhaps because the questions were too difficult or something else, Qi Wuchen sighed when he spoke again: "I'll take a day off tomorrow and return to school the day after tomorrow morning."
"What are you asking for leave for?" Ling Jianghan stared at him and asked, "Is your father looking for you?"
"How could that be?" Qi Wuchen said, "Tomorrow is my mother's death anniversary. I'm going to visit my grandmother."
-
Ling Jianghan originally planned to return the phone to its owner early the next morning, but as soon as he got up, he heard Cheng Yan say that Qi Wuchen had already left.
Ling Jianghan had no choice but to leave his cell phone at home and go to school for morning self-study after breakfast.
Qi Wuchen was not there, and Sheng Yao and the others didn't dare to disturb him after class, so Jiang Han took the opportunity to take a nap during the break.
Ling Jianghan's eyesight was not good, and he could not see clearly what the teacher wrote on the blackboard. Whenever it came to taking notes, he basically looked at Qi Wuchen.
Other subjects were fine, and Jiang Han could mostly listen and write at the same time, but when it came to math, Jiang Han was basically helpless.
After two math classes, Jiang Han's mood could be described as "numb".
The moment the math teacher walked out of the classroom, Jiang Han lay on the table and sighed.
There are two math evening study sessions tonight.
Fortunately, the teacher did not continue to explain the questions at night, but let them practice the questions and look at their notes on their own.
When returning home, Ling Jianghan casually placed his cell phone on the shoe cabinet.
After taking a shower, Ling Jianghan walked into his bedroom while wiping his head with a towel, picked up the mobile phone on the bedside table and entered the password.
But the moment he opened the phone, he was completely stunned.
This phone is not his, the desktop wallpaper is different.
It was also different from the phone wallpaper Qi Wuchen was using now. It was not the one that the cultural and arts committee member had secretly taken in the classroom, but another one he had never seen before.
From the background, we can tell that the photo was taken at Ling Jianghan's home. In the photo, Ling Jianghan is half-squatting and feeding cat noodles to Chuyi who is sitting on the ground.
The photo was obviously taken secretly. The people and cat in it only had a side profile, revealing Jiang Han's delicate jawline.
This phone was the one that Jiang Ning had confiscated before. The last time he discovered the photo taken by the cultural and arts committee member, Qi Wuchen had already changed his phone.
In other words, long before the cultural and arts committee member took that photo secretly, Qi Wuchen had already used his own photo as desktop wallpaper.
However, there is another problem besides the wallpaper.
Why is Qi Wuchen’s cell phone password the same as mine?
Ling Jianghan's birthday is November 11th, so his mobile phone password is four ones.
But what the hell is Qi Wuchen’s password?
Do they have the same birthday?
Jiang Han inexplicably recalled a question Qi Chiyue had asked him before.
"Have you two known each other before?"
At first he thought the question was ridiculous, but now it seems that there must be a reason why Qi Chiyue asked that.
Ling Jianghan turned around and went out to get his phone to send a message to Qi Chiyue: [Sister Chiyue, are you asleep? I have a question for you.]
Qi Chiyue was sitting on the balcony applying a facial mask. When she saw his message, she glanced downstairs before typing a reply: [What's the problem?]
Is there anything that Jiang Han wants to ask but cannot ask Qi Wuchen himself?
Just as I was wondering, another message popped up on the interface: [When is Qi Wuchen's birthday? ]
Oh, asking about birthdays.
Is there hope for someone?
She was applying a facial mask, and the smile on her face faded a bit. She replied: [November 4th, and it will be the 19th in a while.]
nineteen?
Ling Jianghan looked at the message but did not respond for a long time.
Qi Wuchen is one year older than him?
No, Jiang Han came to his senses. His birthday was November 4th, so why was his password four ones? And why was his desktop wallpaper?
Tsk, this guy is so annoying. He is not at home, but he has left him with a lot of problems.
On the other side, the annoying Qi Wuchen was chatting with Wen Shuyu on the balcony on the first floor.
The wind tonight is quite gentle, neither hot nor cold, which Wen Shuyu likes very much.
Qi Wuchen knew that she wanted to talk to him more, so he didn't urge her to rest at this time.
After struggling internally for a while, Qi Wuchen finally said calmly, "Grandma, I have something to ask you."
This was the first time Wen Shuyu saw him so serious, and she immediately became interested: "What are you talking about?"
Although she is nearly seventy years old, thanks to Qi Chiyue's careful guidance, time has not left many traces on her face. Only her gray hair quietly reminds the younger generations that she is gradually aging.
But Wen Shuyu is still like a little girl, full of expectations for life and curiosity about new things.
So her eyes are always sparkling.
Qi Wuchen was looking directly into those eyes at the moment, and said to her calmly, "If the person I like in the future is a boy, would you agree?"
Wen Shuyu smiled first, then waved his hand: "How can I have the final say on such matters?"
Qi Wuchen's eyes lit up after hearing this: "You mean..."
"I didn't say that," Wen Shuyu interrupted him with a smile: "I'm asking you, if I forcibly separate you, will you be sad?"
Qi Wuchen thought for a moment and said, "If I catch up with him, then maybe."
"Haven't you caught up with her yet?" Wen Shuyu asked curiously, "Tell me, what do you think, and what does she think?"
"Him," Qi Wuchen put his hands behind his head and said slowly, "He doesn't even know that I like him."
"Then why don't you work harder?" Wen Shuyu seemed to suddenly think of something: "I was wondering why Qi Zhinian hadn't shown up today. I'm afraid he already knows, right?"
"So what if he knows," Qi Wuchen leaned back, "He has no right to control it."
"You." Wen Shuyu smiled helplessly.
Just when she was feeling happy, Qi Chiyue's voice suddenly came from above: "Grandma, it's time for you to go to bed. Don't stay up late with this little bastard."
Qi Wuchen was about to speak and told her not to interrupt, but Qi Chiyue from above called out again, "Qi Wuchen, hurry up and wash up and go to bed. You'll be waiting for gifts on your birthday."
Qi Wuchen stood up and shouted, "What are you doing so late at night? Don't you just transfer the money directly?"
"I won't tell you," Qi Chiyue's voice gradually became softer, and it sounded like he turned back to his bedroom: "Go if you want."
