Chapter 335 Sending the Monkey King's decree: A westward expedition to Mount Ling!

In the blink of an eye, Yu

It was already during the Zhenguan era.

On this day

Water and Land Dharma Assembly

The scene was unprecedentedly grand.

The monk who was Guanyin in disguise also arrived, selling cassocks and a staff to the Tang Emperor.

"The cassock costs five thousand taels, and the staff costs two thousand taels!"

When these words were spoken, a chorus of ridicule was inevitable. The staff was still in good condition, but the cassock was tattered and worn; it was hardly worth five thousand taels! Yu

"Your Majesty, this monk is clearly here to cause trouble. He has committed the crime of deceiving the emperor and deserves to be executed!"

“Indeed, Your Majesty, this monk is clearly deceiving us and must not be let off lightly.”

"..."

As more and more ministers began to speak, the Tang emperor gestured for them to be quiet and asked, "What is so special about this robe and staff that they are worth so much?!"

Guanyin replied, “This kasaya, if draped by a dragon, will protect it from the calamity of being devoured by a roc; if draped by a crane, it will grant it the wonder of transcending the mortal realm and entering sainthood. Wherever one sits, ten thousand gods will pay homage; wherever one moves, seven Buddhas will accompany one.”

This robe is crafted from silkworm silk, skillfully spun and twisted by artisans. It was woven by celestial maidens, its fabric completed by goddesses. Square panels are embroidered, each piece piled high like brocade. Exquisite and scattered floral patterns vie for attention, its bright colors shimmering and radiant. Wearing it, one is enveloped in a red mist; removing it, one is enveloped in a cloud of color.

A mysterious light shines through the Three Heavens Gate, and a precious aura arises before the Five Sacred Mountains. Layer upon layer of lotus blossoms are inlaid, and dazzling pearls hang like stars. At the four corners are luminous pearls, and at the top is a single emerald. Though it does not fully reflect its original form, it still radiates light from the eight treasures. This robe, folded in leisure, is only worn when encountering a saint. Folded in leisure, its thousand layers reveal rainbows; worn only when encountering a saint, it startles all the gods and demons of the heavens. —Yu

Above are wish-fulfilling beads, mani beads, dust-repelling beads, and wind-stabilizing beads; there are also red agate, purple coral, luminous pearls, and relics. Stealing the moon's white hue, vying with the sun's redness. Strands of celestial energy fill the sky, clusters of auspicious light adorn the sacred. Strands of celestial energy fill the sky, illuminating the heavenly gate; clusters of auspicious light adorn the sacred, casting shadows throughout the world. Illuminating mountains and rivers, startling tigers and leopards; casting shadows on islands, stirring fish and dragons. Along the edge are two gold-plated locks, and at the top are linked white jade cong.

The poem reads: The Three Jewels stand majestically, the Way is venerable; all beings in the four realms and six paths are subject to commentary. Enlightenment and understanding cultivate the Dharma for humans and gods; seeing one's true nature transmits the lamp of wisdom. Protecting the body, one enters a magnificent golden world; body and mind are pure as ice in a jade vessel. Since the Buddha established the monastic robe, who has dared to sever the Sangha for countless eons?

Immediately afterwards,

Guanyin continued, "This staff is made of copper inlaid with iron, with nine interlocking rings, and nine sections of immortal vine that remain forever young. I tire of seeing its thin, bony form, and it lightly carries white clouds down the mountain. The Fifth Patriarch of Mahakasyapa traveled to the Heavenly Palace, and Luo Bu broke through the earthly barrier to find his mother. It is untouched by the filth of the mortal world and happily accompanies the divine monk to the Jade Mountain."

As soon as the sound faded,

He inevitably faced further ridicule: "Monk, take a good look at your own robe, it's tattered and worn, and your staff is also in poor condition. How dare you say that!"

Guanyin chanted a Buddhist prayer, saying, "Those who are destined to be with the Buddha will recognize it; those who attain the Dharma will wear it, and its transformations will manifest!"

Upon hearing this,

The Tang emperor summoned Xuanzang, and upon Xuanzang's arrival, the emperor gave an explanation.

Xuanzang glanced at the cassock and staff, then at the others, and thought to himself,

It's here!

Guanyin! Monkey King was absolutely right!

at this time,

Xuanzang scoffed, "Your Majesty, what kind of garbage is this? Your Majesty has been deceived! This is a cassock? And a staff?"

Come on!

Bring me my robe and staff!

As he landed, a moment later, a monk brought Xuanzang's robe and staff.

When Xuanzang put on the kasaya, it emitted countless rays of light, with laws flowing on it and a trace of Taoist charm. The staff was even more extraordinary; Guanyin could feel the terrifying power contained within it!

Upon seeing this,

Guanyin's heart sank. It's all over!

Damn! Yu

The monkey said he wanted to continue the journey to the West, and sure enough, there was something fishy going on. It seems that Xuanzang has now joined forces with the monkey, and it's likely that Tianpeng, Juanlian, and even the White Dragon Horse are in the same boat!

From this perspective, it seems unlikely that Buddhism will flourish again after the Journey to the West!

at this time,

The courtiers also began to ridicule Guanyin Bodhisattva, and their words became increasingly offensive, which fueled Guanyin's anger.

Ignoring everything else, Guanyin directly manifested her true form, riding auspicious clouds all the way to the ninth heaven, revealing her original form as the Savior from Suffering, holding a pure vase and willow branch. To her left was Moksha Huian, holding a staff, looking spirited.

Auspicious clouds scattered in profusion, and auspicious light protected the Dharma body. In the heavens above, a female immortal appeared. That Bodhisattva wore a golden-leaf-buttoned hat adorned with jade flowers, radiating golden light, and adorned with dangling pearl tassels exuding a sharp aura.

She wore a light blue robe adorned with golden dragons and flying phoenixes, its color subtle and delicate. A jade pendant, embellished with pearls and jade, hung at her chest, its design symbolizing a bright moon, a gentle breeze, and the movement of nature. A silken brocade skirt, edged with gold and depicting colorful clouds and the Jade Sea, was tied around her waist.

Before them came another white parrot with yellow feathers and a red beak, flying to the East, traveling the world, expressing gratitude and filial piety. In its hands it held a precious vase for bestowing grace and saving the world, inside which was a willow branch that sprinkled the blue sky, scattered evil, and swept away the remaining mist. Jade rings adorned its embroidered buttons, and golden lotus feet shone deep beneath its feet.

When Guanyin revealed her true form, the Tang emperor and his ministers were not surprised at all.

Guanyin: ⊙﹏⊙! ?

What's going on? Aren't you surprised?

It’s over!

The attempt to show off failed!

Damn monkey! Yu

Now it seems we were just playing along, and we already knew the script.

Now, there's absolutely no chance for Buddhism to flourish!

What was supposed to be a grand Journey to the West has actually come to this.

Regardless, Guanyin still braced herself and said, "Xuanzang, your Hinayana teachings cannot help the deceased ascend to heaven; they can only blend in with the world. I have the Mahayana Buddhist Tripitaka, which can help the deceased ascend to heaven, can help those in distress escape suffering, can help cultivate an immeasurable life, and can achieve a state of no coming and no going."

Mahayana Buddhism resides in the Great Thunderclap Temple on Mount Ling in the Western Paradise. If Xuanzang wishes to learn it, he can travel to Mount Ling and seek the true scriptures!
