Chapter 336 Arrival in the Kingdom of Women

As the army set off...

In the height of autumn, several villages are shrouded in fallen leaves and scattered reeds, while a few maple and poplar trees shed their red leaves. The road is shrouded in mist and rain, and old friends are few. Yellow chrysanthemums are beautiful, the mountain peaks are delicate, the water is cold, the lotus leaves are broken, and people are weary. White and red smartweed are covered in frost and snow, and the setting sun and a lone wild goose fall from the vast sky. Faintly, dim clouds drift across the fields, swallows fly away, and wild geese arrive, their clear, melodious calls shattering the night.

Soon,

When Xuanzang's army on its westward expedition reached a place with towering mountains, they saw the mountains covered in red decorations, a scene of great joy and celebration.

Upon seeing this,

The soldiers were taken aback. Was this... a wedding celebration?!

In such a steep and deep mountain, where could there be any people? They must be monsters.

They had never seen a monster get married before, and the scene looked quite impressive.

As Xuanzang and his companions approached, a demon king came running towards them. He was imposing and awe-inspiring, his eyes flashing with lightning light, and his voice booming like thunder. His serrated teeth protruded from his mouth, and his chisel-like fangs gleamed beside his cheeks. His body was adorned with brocade, and his spine was covered in markings. His steel whiskers revealed only sparse flesh, and his claws were as sharp as frost. Even the Yellow King of the Eastern Sea trembled, and the White-browed King of the Southern Mountains were filled with fear.

His face was plastered with smiles, and given his appearance, the smile looked utterly lewd.

"Master! I have failed to greet you properly. Please forgive me!" said the Demon King Yin.

The soldiers...?

Is this a monster?! Good heavens, according to my impression and imagination, shouldn't monsters be fierce and menacing? This... is so kind!? Damn!

However, upon closer reflection, it becomes clear that this guy's behavior is entirely due to the Venerable Xuanzang.

Tsk!

This instantly elevates the level of sophistication.

As they entered the mountains, the soldiers realized that the monsters' elaborate display was not for a wedding, but rather to welcome them... no, to be precise, to welcome the Venerable Xuanzang.

Seeing that the group of little demons were also very attentive to them, their vanity was instantly satisfied.

Upon arriving at the cave where the banquet was being held,

The monkey was sitting at the head of the table, leisurely drinking his wine.

"Brother Monkey!" Xuanzang exclaimed joyfully upon seeing the monkey and hurried forward.

"Not bad, your cultivation has improved again. It seems you haven't been slacking off these days," the monkey said slowly.

Xuanzang grinned, "How can I slack off? Otherwise, how can I keep up with Brother Monkey's pace and how can I conquer Mount Ling?"

Upon hearing this,

The monkey nodded in satisfaction, giving Xuanzang an approving look. Upon seeing this, Xuanzang was instantly excited and full of confidence. The monkey's approval was the greatest honor for him.

It has to be said that the monkey's karaoke, no, ICU...KFC...no, it should be UFO, is really strong. Xuanzang is doing a great job right now.

The next day,

The monkey and Xuanzang led the army away. Watching the army depart, the Demon King of Tiger breathed a sigh of relief, his legs gave way, and he collapsed to the ground, wiping the sweat from his brow.

Finally, they're gone! Finally, they're gone! My life is finally safe! Whew! That was so dangerous. Luckily, I took good care of them.

Otherwise, if that person gets angry, wouldn't he be doomed?!

"Your Majesty, is it really necessary?" asked one of the underlings behind the Demon King Yin.

Actually, he didn't want to say anything, but seeing his king's cowardly appearance, he just couldn't help himself.

Upon hearing this,

The Demon King Yin slapped him across the face, yelling, "What do you know? That monkey even beat up Buddha!"

ah? !

The underling was instantly dumbfounded and stood there stunned!

He even beat up Tathagata Buddha? That's...that's the Buddha!

This...! Was that monkey really that terrifying? My goodness!

Speaking of which... should I go and seek refuge there? Even being a handyman would be fine!

Following the king is good, but... sigh! I still want to go out and see the world, mainly because I'd have more security if I followed a stronger leader, right?

But... if they're so capable, why should I take their place?

Forget it! Forget it!

then,

The Monkey King and Xuanzang led their army on their journey, with the White Dragon Horse, Pigsy, and Sandy all in place.

The group consisted of people who traveled westward.

Wherever they went, the monsters wished these old men would leave quickly, how dare they cause trouble?

Most of them have powerful connections, and even those without connections know how powerful the Monkey King is. He even beat up Buddha, a saint!

They? They're not even worthy of carrying a monkey's shoes. How could they dare to cause trouble? They'd have to be obedient, and not only obedient, but also well-treated. Each one of them would prepare an even higher level of sophistication.

The Wuzhuang Temple is also worth mentioning.

The mountain stood tall and majestic, its peaks reaching for the heavens. Its roots connected to the Kunlun Mountains, its summit touching the sky. White cranes often came to roost among the cypress trees, and black gibbons sometimes dangled from the vines. Sunlight shone through the clear forest, creating layers of red mist that swirled around it; the wind stirred the shady ravines, sending countless colorful clouds drifting by.

Birds chirp wildly among the green bamboos, pheasants fight amongst the wildflowers. There stand the Thousand-Year Peak, the Five Blessings Peak, and the Hibiscus Peak, majestic and awe-inspiring, radiating light; the Ten-Thousand-Year Stone, the Tiger Tooth Stone, and the Three-Pointed Stone gleam with auspicious energy. Grasses flourish before the cliffs, plum blossoms scent the ridges.

Thick thorns grow densely, while orchids and magnolias bloom delicately. Deep in the forest, eagles and phoenixes gather, a thousand birds flock; in the ancient cave, unicorns rule over ten thousand beasts. The stream flows with affection, winding and turning; the peaks rise and fall, layer upon layer, encircling the area. And there are the green locust trees, the mottled bamboo, the verdant pines, vying for glory for millennia; the white plums, the red peaches, the emerald willows, blazing with spring's splendor. Dragons roar, tigers howl, cranes dance, and monkeys cry. Deer emerge from the flowers, and blue phoenixes sing to the sun.

Wuzhuang Temple is located on this sacred mountain.

Zhen Yuanzi was very sensible; he didn't leave and waited patiently. The ginseng fruit had already been prepared, and he wasn't stingy with it.

This ginseng fruit was formed when chaos first separated, when the primordial world was first divided, before heaven and earth were created.

Of the four continents under heaven, only the Five Villages Temple in Xiniuhe Continent produces this, which is called Grass Returning Elixir, also known as Ginseng Fruit.

It blossoms once every three thousand years, bears fruit once every three thousand years, and takes another three thousand years to ripen. It takes a mere ten thousand years to be ready to eat. In those ten thousand years, only thirty fruits are produced. The fruit resembles a three-day-old infant, complete with limbs and facial features. If a person is fortunate enough to smell the fruit, they will live three hundred and sixty years; if they eat one, they will live forty-seven thousand years.

The ginseng fruit was useless to the monkey, but it accepted Zhen Yuanzi's kindness and decided to try it out.

Subsequently,

When the monkey proposed to become sworn brothers with Zhen Yuanzi, Zhen Yuanzi was truly flattered.

It would be wonderful to become sworn brothers with the monkey. Although he is the ancestor of earth immortals, with profound cultivation and a high status, he is still just an ant if he does not become a saint.

Becoming sworn brothers with the Monkey King, a sage, and learning from him might just lead to him becoming a sage as well. Even if he doesn't, having this relationship would naturally be beneficial in every way!

The reason the monkey acted this way was naturally because it had a great liking for this ancestor of earth immortals.

According to the original plan, he would have become sworn brothers with Zhen Yuanzi, which would have been a great honor for him. But now things are completely different. It has to be said that the monkey has a bit of a wicked sense of humor.

As the journey proceeded smoothly, the soldiers were dumbfounded. What happened to the promised battle? Was this just a formality, a chance to gain experience? Damn! They had all gotten fatter along the way! If they went back like this, they wouldn't be elite anymore; they'd be too fat to even go to the battlefield.

and,

On this day

The monkeys had already arrived at the Women's Kingdom, where the army was stationed. The monkeys sent word that the Queen of the Women's Kingdom had come out of the city to personally welcome them.
