When Lu Chuan's divine sense enveloped the area, he naturally detected the location of Third Sister.
Above the heavens, beyond the boundless Black Sea,
With a thought, Lu Chuan's figure was already above the heavens, on the shore of the boundless Black Sea.
Looking at the vast black sea, Lu Chuan was slightly surprised. The black sea contained an incredibly terrifying power, which made him feel a sense of danger.
However, for Lu Chuan, the Black Sea was nothing special; what did he care about was the power that existed on the other side.
immediately,
Lu Chuan began crossing the Black Sea.
At that very moment, the elderly men sitting cross-legged on the shore of the Black Sea all stared at Lu Chuan with piercing eyes and astonishment.
"He...he's going to cross the boundless Black Sea!?"
"This...this is simply courting death?"
"The Black Sea contains endless terror, and the other side of the boundless Black Sea possesses even more terrifying power. To force one's way into the Black Sea is no different from courting death."
"Even a Celestial King wouldn't dare to force his way into the Black Sea. On the other side, even a Quasi-Celestial Emperor would perish. Wouldn't such a thing be courting death?"
"..."
These old men who were speaking all possessed the realm of Quasi-Immortal King or even Immortal King, and the strongest of them even had the power of Quasi-Immortal Emperor.
They dared not cross the Black Sea. Lu Chuan was just a young man; crossing the Black Sea would be tantamount to courting death.
As for what these people said, Lu Chuan didn't take it to heart. It's undeniable that this is a great era, and the existence of Immortal Emperors is truly terrifying, but for Lu Chuan, Immortal Emperors are nothing.
Ignoring the men who were talking, Lu Chuan crossed the boundless Black Sea.
Upon reaching the center of the Black Sea, a sudden storm arose, and a colossal creature rose from the sea.
Its shape resembles a Kunpeng, yet it also bears the shadow of a whale; its entire being contains the supreme path of darkness.
In an instant, the black water surged to the heavens, reaching a height of ten thousand feet. In the blink of an eye, the endless black water swirled towards Lu Chuan, containing countless techniques and layers of eerie Daoist energy.
In response,
Lu Chuan didn't care at all. With a wave of his hand, the surging black water was directly suppressed. As for the creature that resembled both a Kunpeng and a whale, it was also directly suppressed by Lu Chuan.
At this moment, the matter was far from over. Around Lu Chuan, the Black Sea exploded, and black water columns shot into the sky, containing supreme Dao within them.
at the same time,
Within the columns of black water, their powers intertwined and converged, their laws gathering to form a colossal array.
At this moment,
A hint of surprise flashed in Lu Chuan's eyes, because the formation seemed somewhat familiar.
The Nine-Bend Yellow River Formation!
The Yellow River's perilous formation follows the principles of Heaven, Earth, and Man; in this calamity, even immortals will suffer. Within its nine bends lies destiny, and within its three turns, wind and thunder are hidden.
Those who claim to be cultivators in the celestial gardens are foolish; who says their spiritual altars form a sacred embryo? Encountering this will surely lead to a complete transformation, revealing that heretical paths are unsuitable.
Where it begins, where it ends. Within it lies the secret of the primordial order, the mechanism of life and death; without it, it follows the Nine Palaces and Eight Trigrams, the entrances and exits, the interconnected advances and retreats, all perfectly ordered. Though there are no more than six hundred people, the mysteries within are no less than those of a million. Even immortals who enter here will have their spirits extinguished and their souls scattered.
This formation, structured according to the Three Powers (Heaven, Earth, and Man), encompasses the wonders of the universe. Within it lie the Bewitching Elixir and the Sealing Immortal Technique, capable of robbing immortals of their spirit, extinguishing their soul, trapping their form, damaging their energy, destroying their original essence, and harming their limbs. Immortals who enter become mortals, and mortals who enter perish instantly. Its nine bends contain no straight lines, revealing the wonders of creation and uncovering the secrets of immortals. Even the sages of the three religions cannot escape its grasp.
A formation stretches across heaven and earth, its momentum swaying like the Yellow River. A chilling wind howls, its chill penetrating; a black mist obscures the sun and moon. Drifting aimlessly, shrouded in darkness. A chilling aura soars to the heavens, a gloomy haze blankets the earth. It extinguishes the soul and destroys the spirit; even a thousand years of cultivation become a mere illusion, leaving only devastation and loss of vitality. Though one may escape countless calamities, all efforts will ultimately fail.
As the saying goes: Even immortals cannot reach this realm; even if the three flowers on your head are shaved off, and even if Buddha were to face calamity, the five vital energies in your chest would be extinguished. Encountering this calamity is inescapable; how can a true immortal hide when faced with it?
The formation that has formed in the Black Sea at this moment resembles the Nine Turns Yellow River Formation.
However, compared to the Nine-Bend Yellow River Formation, this formation is clearly far more terrifying.
The myriad methods formed by its formations are truly domineering and powerful, not only encompassing Taoist supernatural powers but also displaying Buddhist supernatural powers to their fullest extent.
In terms of Buddhist supernatural powers,
Human supernatural abilities are inherent, like the flame of a lamp. Flame inherently possesses light; the fact that a flame does not emit light does not mean it lacks light.
The fault lies in obstruction and blockage, being obscured by the seven emotions and six desires, thus failing to function despite having a physical body.
People misunderstand supernatural powers and mistakenly equate transformation with them, greatly deceiving themselves. Transformation is an illusion, similar to magic. It is not a supernatural phenomenon.
What one relies on cannot be used. Supernatural powers, however, are different.
The Treatise on Treasures states: Based on the source of one's understanding and the level of one's skill, there are five types:
One type is called "demon communication," such as foxes that transform into human forms or wood and stone spirits that attach themselves to them.
The second is the ability to receive divine information, such as the knowledge of ghosts and gods, the hidden transformations of divine dragons, or the incomplete development of one's divine eye in a past life, or the extraordinary sight and hearing of someone who was a child in this life.
The third is reliance on other means, such as traveling by talisman, using medicine and incantations, and emitting light to attract spirits, all of which require something to rely on.
The above three are nominally understood, but in reality they are not, because they are not ultimate and will inevitably lead to regression.
The fourth is supernatural power, namely, the first is the eye, the second is the ear, the third is the mind-reading ability, the fourth is the ability to know the past, and the fifth is the ability to travel to the heavens. Although these are called supernatural powers, they have an ultimate form.
There are two kinds of incomplete:
Those who attain perfect enlightenment without all defilements are not truly enlightened; they will inevitably regress from their original path and face danger, going mad and becoming demons, ultimately falling into the deepest hell. Those who truly attain enlightenment...
[A stable novel app that has been running for many years, comparable to the source-switching app used by older versions of ZhuiChong, huanyuanapp.]
The fifth is the attainment of complete liberation from defilements, which takes the Dao as its essence and uses the previous five supernatural powers as its application.
In Buddhism, the first step is to attain the state of "exhaustion of defilements": worldly matters are subject to defilements, while transcendental matters are free from defilements. To be proficient in both and free from attachment is called "exhaustion of defilements."
To cultivate the six supernatural powers, one must first understand one's mind, develop enlightenment and wisdom, and realize emptiness as the essence. Then one can transform all things and respond to things without intention.
