Chapter 513 The Southern Great Wall Remains Unharmed, Only the Dao Reigns Supreme?

over time,

Marshal Qin's defeat was becoming increasingly obvious. Of course, the alien expert was not much better off, but he was still stronger than Marshal Qin. Even if he was only slightly stronger, he could still decide the outcome of this battle.

At this moment,

Marshal Qin cursed, gathering all his power and merging all his past strength to seal off the surrounding space.

When the sealed space shattered, Marshal Qin met the same fate as Li Jinzhao and Gao Shizhi, while the alien powerhouse naturally perished.

Just then, the reinforcements arrived late. It was no wonder they were slow; they had been blocked by the alien army, so their arrival was naturally delayed.

at this time,

Seeing that the situation was hopeless, the alien powerhouses who were fighting against Yang Chan and her group of five naturally wanted to escape at this moment.

Can,

It's too late to run now! If it had been earlier, before they had exhausted so much of their strength, they might have been able to escape.

"Can you escape?" Yang Chan said coldly.

At this moment,

Yang Chan and her group of five intercepted the alien powerhouses who were trying to escape, gathered their strength, and killed them in a few moves. After that, their strength was also completely depleted.

As for the remaining alien armies, they crumbled without a fight and began to collapse.

As the old saying goes, "Do not face high hills, do not oppose hills with their backs turned, do not follow a feigned retreat, do not attack a sharp enemy, do not take the bait, do not block a retreating army, leave an opening when besieging an army, and do not press a desperate enemy." This is the art of war.

Do not attack an enemy occupying high ground from below; do not engage an enemy with their backs to hills in a direct confrontation; do not pursue an enemy feigning defeat; do not launch a strong attack on the enemy's elite troops; do not be deceived by the enemy's decoy troops; do not intercept an enemy retreating to their homeland; when besieging an enemy, leave an opening for them; and do not excessively pressure an enemy trapped in a desperate situation.

Although we currently have the upper hand, pursuing them would only lead to a desperate struggle by the alien army, which is not a wise choice. This battle was a Pyrrhic victory, and pursuing them now would likely backfire. Moreover, Yang Chan and his four companions are already exhausted and unable to fight any longer. If they were to fight again, they would end up like Li Jinzhao and Cao Shizhi.

After the alien army retreated, everyone was in low spirits. Too many comrades had died, including Li Jinzhao, Gao Shizhi, and Marshal Qin.

Their deaths were certainly worthwhile, but they are truly regrettable and bring a deep sense of sorrow.

The southern section of the Great Wall was successfully defended, but the price paid was far too high.

They could only offer a brief moment of silence, without even having time to hold a funeral.

They also need to repair the broken formations on the inner Great Wall and the broken sections of the Great Wall.

...

at the same time,

In the vast void,

In a broken and bleak world, a vibrant life burst forth for a moment, as if the entire world was about to revive.

That moment was truly captivating.

But,

The mist and clouds gather auspicious clouds, the sun and moon emit auspicious light, the old cypress trees are green, and the mountain wind is like autumn water and sky of the same color. Wild flowers are red, and the morning glow is like peaches and apricots blooming together.

Colorful mists swirl, radiating the brilliance of morality. The smoke curls and wafts, all emanating a pure fragrance from the primordial chaos. Immortal peaches and fruits, each resembling a golden elixir, green willow branches, each strand as smooth as jade threads, are everywhere. The cries of yellow cranes are heard, and the dances of blue phoenixes are seen. The mortal world is shunned; only celestial maidens and children come and go. The jade gate is always closed, forbidding mortals and guests from peeking. Truly, this is the supreme place of pleasure for the most honored, its wondrous realm known to few.

But... it was all just a fleeting moment of glory, and after that, it returned to its state of financial ruin and desolation.

“Old Li, this move is indeed good and commendable, but it’s still not enough,” said a middle-aged man in a blue Taoist robe with a dignified appearance.

"Oh!"

"You talk like you're so great!" The man called Old Li, dressed in a white shirt, replied disdainfully.

The scene zooms out, revealing that they are facing thirty-six powerful alien beings, all at the ninth level of the Limitless Dao Realm.

If news of such a scene were to reach the Ancestral Star Realm, it would surely cause a huge uproar.

These two are incredibly powerful; with just the two of them, they managed to keep all thirty-six powerful alien beings trapped in this world.

The Taoist-robed man then said, "Indeed, I am a little more powerful than you. Of all the schools of thought, only Taoism is supreme!"

"Pah! You call yourself the only one who respects the Tao? You're shameless! For saying that, you deserve a good beating!" Old Li chimed in.

Upon hearing this,

The Taoist-robed man smiled slightly and said, "What? Isn't that right? He neither pays homage to the emperor nor visits the ministers. He avoids the cage of worldly affairs and hides his tracks, escaping the net of worldly life to cultivate immortality."

They revel in forests and springs, shunning fame and fortune; they hide in rocky valleys, forgetting shame and glory. They wear a crown adorned with stars that shine like the sun, and a simple robe that grants them eternal youth. Some have disheveled hair and bare feet, others wear their hair in a topknot and a headscarf.

Pick fresh flowers to build a hat, and break off wild grass to make a carpet. Drink sweet spring water to rinse your teeth, and chew pine and cypress to prolong your life. Sing and clap your hands, and dance until you sleep among the clouds. When you meet a celestial guest, seek the profound truth and ask the Way; when you meet a fellow Daoist, discuss poetry, wine, and literature.

They laugh at extravagant and corrupt wealth, and rejoice in the freedom of simple poverty. Unburdened by the slightest obstacle, unburdened by the half-sound of entanglement, they sometimes gather in groups of three to discuss profound mysteries and the Dao, or in pairs to explore the past and discuss the present. They lament the rise and fall of dynasties, and delve into the mysteries and the Dao to investigate the root causes of life and death.

Regardless of the changing seasons, following the swift movements of the sun and moon, his aged face regains its youth, and his white hair turns black again. Carrying a basket and gourd, he goes to the market to beg for alms, just to fill his stomach; carrying a hoe and basket, he goes into the mountains and forests to gather herbs, and helps those in distress.

They bring peace and benefit to people and things, and may even bring the dead back to life. Those who cultivate immortality possess strong and refined bones, and those who attain the Dao possess the most divine spirit. They discern good and bad fortune by understanding the hexagrams, and determine calamity and blessing by secretly observing people's hearts. The profound Daoist methods promote the orthodox teachings of the Dao, and the writing of talismans dispels evil influences from the world. They pay homage to the flying gods at the imperial palace and walk the path of Qi at the Thunder Gate.

Knocking on the gate of mystery, the sky darkens; striking the earth's gate, ghosts weep and gods tremble. Seizing the essence of heaven and earth, gathering the quintessence of sun and moon. Manipulating yin and yang to refine one's nature, nourishing water and fire to solidify the embryo. At twenty-eight, yin fades, as if in a trance; at thirty-nine, yang grows, as if in the depths of darkness. Gathering according to the four seasons, refining nine times until the elixir is complete. Riding a blue phoenix straight to the Purple Palace, riding a white crane to roam the Jade Capital. Comprehending the wondrous workings of heaven and earth, expressing the diligence of morality. Compared to Confucian scholars, high office and prominent position, wealth and honor are fleeting clouds; compared to other teachings and various arts, true enlightenment is difficult to achieve.

After saying that,

Old Li rolled his eyes and said, "You've got a whole repertoire of phrases, pshaw, you're really good at bragging!"

Clearly, while the Taoist-robed man's words were eloquent, Old Li remained dismissive.

Then,

The man in the Taoist robe waved his hand, and the shattered world was transformed once more, becoming a land of immortal mountains and blessed lands.

White cranes often come to roost among the cypress trees, and black gibbons sometimes hang from the vines. The sun shines on the clear forest, and thousands of red mists swirl around it; the wind rises in the shady ravines, and ten thousand colorful clouds drift by.

Birds chirp wildly among the green bamboos, pheasants fight amongst the wildflowers. There stand the Thousand-Year Peak, the Five Blessings Peak, and the Hibiscus Peak, majestic and awe-inspiring, radiating light; the Ten-Thousand-Year Stone, the Tiger Tooth Stone, and the Three-Pointed Stone gleam with auspicious energy. Grasses flourish before the cliffs, plum blossoms scent the ridges.

Thick thorns grow densely, while orchids exude a delicate fragrance. In the deep forest, eagles and phoenixes gather, a thousand birds gather; in the ancient cave, unicorns rule over ten thousand beasts.

The stream, full of feeling, meanders and winds, circling the endless peaks and ridges. And there are the green locust trees, the mottled bamboo, the verdant pines, vying in splendor for millennia; the white plums, the red peaches, the emerald willows, bursting forth in vibrant springtime beauty. Dragons roar, tigers howl, cranes dance, and monkeys cry. Deer emerge from the flowers, and blue phoenixes sing to the sun.

When such a scene appears, it is clear that the restrictions on the barrier are becoming increasingly strong, making it extremely difficult for powerful alien races to escape.

"How is it?" the Taoist-robed man asked, raising an eyebrow.

Upon hearing this,

Old Li smiled indifferently, "Not very good!"

at the same time,

The thirty-six powerful alien warriors attacked the two together, fighting like cornered beasts, and the situation instantly became tense.
