Chapter 16 Revealed

Lu Zhu nodded blankly and mechanically picked up the chopsticks to eat the food.

After he finished eating, he returned to the next room and sat down. His scattered pupils slightly focused and he regained some consciousness. The panic, shame, fear, grievance... all kinds of emotions surged in his heart, and tears instantly blurred his vision.

"Damn it! Damn it!"

Lu Zhu wiped away his tears, frantically reflecting on himself angrily, "Lu Zhu, why are you crying? You boast of your wisdom and strategy, but you can't even defeat a casual cultivator. You are just a waste! Waste!"

No matter how hard he tried to wipe away his tears, he couldn't stop. The more Lu Zhu thought about it, the angrier he became. In the end, he just gave up and burst into tears in his quilt.

Her crying was so miserable that even Xiang Sheng, who was studying "The Shapeshifter" next door, couldn't help but start to doubt himself and wonder if he had really gone too far.

But then again, why should she have to endure being tempted? A little warning wouldn't be too much, right?

The thought flashed through his mind, but Xiang Sheng ignored it and continued to study "Shadow Changing" with concentration.

An hour later, Lu Zhu finished venting his anger and sat up. He looked at the large wet spot on the bed and looked a little embarrassed, then angry.

Shen Xiang, this person is really hateful!

The moment his thoughts were revealed, he was so panicked that he even thought about where to bury Shen Xiang after he killed him.

But Chen Xiang only mentioned it briefly, and then continued eating as if nothing had happened.

Playing tricks on him like this! So... vile!

Lu Zhu was so angry that he pounded the bed hard, then lay down again hugging the pillow.

Perhaps it was Xiang Sheng's attitude of only revealing his thoughts but not blaming him, which was almost indulgent, that gave him an inexplicable illusion of security.

"Lv Zhu, ah, Lu Zhu, what's going on in your mind? You're really going backwards as you get older."

Muttering bitterly, Lu Zhu couldn't resist the sleepiness and fell asleep quickly despite his wandering thoughts.

Xiang Sheng, however, had no intention of sleeping.

She sat cross-legged on the bed, put the old booklet aside, cleared her mind, sat quietly for a moment, and suddenly her hands floated in front of her chest, and she formed a hand seal awkwardly.

Tiny shadows of hand seals flew out from his palms and lingered around. Xiang Sheng's movements suddenly accelerated, his hands turned into afterimages, and one hand seal after another flew out, faintly forming an illusory talisman.

But before the talisman could take shape, Xiang Sheng suddenly stopped moving, and all the seals disappeared in an instant.

Failed.

There was no way Xiang Sheng's face showed disappointment, but instead he looked slightly cheered up.

Having experience in practicing "Death", she originally thought that "Shadow Changing" would not be easy to practice either, and it would take a lot of time just to comprehend the key points.

After studying it for a while, Xiang Sheng found that this secret method was much simpler than "Jueming". After only one hour of understanding, she had no doubts in her mind.

She sensed her body and found that there was not much true energy left. She immediately took out a magic pill and swallowed it, then continued to try.

Two hours later, a transparent talisman was finally successfully condensed.

Xiang Sheng's mind moved, and the talisman suddenly turned into a mysterious light and disappeared into his face.

The next moment, Xiang Sheng felt his face begin to heat up and ache. The talisman's influence opened up some of his hidden meridians, and tiny beads of blood began to ooze out of his pores.

After a short wait, the pain subsided and the blood stopped flowing out.

Xiang Sheng stood up, wiped the blood off his face, sat in front of the dressing table, and tried to connect the talismans. Sure enough, the face in the mirror began to change.

Xiang Sheng suddenly felt relieved.

She also didn't expect that it would be so easy to master the first level of "Shapeshifting". It only took less than four hours.

In this way, there is no way Elder Yuan would be able to find me in a short time.

But the scar on my face...

Xiang Sheng pressed the blood scab on his face, which had become a little hard.

She originally wanted to keep the scar to cover her face, but now that she has mastered the secret technique, she is afraid of attracting attention when going to Xuanwang City. This is not the time to worry about the spiritual spring.

Thinking of this, Xiang Sheng took out the gourd, poured out some spiritual spring water, and applied it to the scar on his face.

In a short while, the scar began to itch. Xiang Sheng touched it lightly, and the centipede-like blood scab fell off, leaving only a large, faint white mark. After waiting for a while, the white mark also disappeared.

Xiang Sheng looked at the overly beautiful face in the mirror and began to adjust the facial features bit by bit until it became an ordinary face. Only then did he stop and go to rest.

The next day, Lu Zhu got up early and went downstairs, bringing breakfast and knocking on Xiang Sheng's door.

With a creak, the door opened.

"Brother Shen...eh?"

As soon as Lu Zhu finished speaking, he saw a woman opening the door and was stunned.
