Chapter 27 Falling out

Xue Yunzi glanced at the blood-stained scars on Xiang Sheng's body after hearing this. After a moment's thought, he smiled slightly and nodded, saying, "Since Your Highness has spoken, how can I not respond? However, if this realm truly possesses the power of the Nascent Soul Stage, even if I exert my full strength, I'm afraid I still won't be able to achieve it."

Xiang Sheng's expression straightened, and he said solemnly, "If it really came to a life-or-death crisis, I would certainly not hesitate to help. Don't worry, Senior."

After that, the other three, fearing they would be left behind, expressed their willingness to help.

Xueyunzi stopped talking nonsense, rolled up his sleeves, and the remaining four people were swept into a blood cloud. Then he rode the blood cloud and sped away.

Half a day later, the blood cloud had flown over tens of thousands of miles, but the desert was still vast and flat, with yellow stretching to the sky and no end in sight.

He didn't know if it was an illusion, but Xue Yunzi always felt that the three scorching suns in the sky became hotter as time went by. Even the magic weapon Blood Cloud could not withstand the heat and gradually showed signs of melting.

The three people hiding in the blood cloud were all sweating profusely, especially the young wandering cultivator, whose eyes were blurry and he almost fainted from the heat.

"If this continues, I can only hold out for a moment, but you will all die of heat!"

Xue Yunzi's voice was solemn, "Your Highness, do you have any way to guide the direction?"

Xiang Sheng pondered for a moment, then suddenly raised his head, parted some of the blood-red clouds, and said, "Senior, fly towards the scorching sun! That's most likely where the vortex is."

Xue Yunzi turned around without saying a word and rushed straight towards the three blazing suns, his speed so fast that it was almost invisible.

As the distance got closer, the blurry Lieyang emerged from the halo and gradually became clearer. The five people in the blood cloud saw Lieyang's true form, and except for Xiang Sheng and Xue Yunzi, they all showed expressions of shock.

"This...is not the sun at all!"

Yuan Zhong exclaimed, "It turns out it's just a palace with three flying eaves and golden crow statues, but it's so amazingly crafted... What a masterpiece!

What kind of cultivation and power is needed to build such a splendid and magnificent palace?"

As they were talking, the blood cloud above their heads suddenly disappeared.

Suddenly losing their shelter, Yuan Zhong and the other two's faces changed drastically. They took out their treasures and frantically protected themselves.

The only casual cultivator among the three looked bewildered. He was just a casual Qi-refining cultivator, so how could he have any magical weapon to protect himself?

After just a short delay, the wandering cultivator suddenly screamed, and his entire body erupted in a ball of rising white flames, burning into ashes and scattering away.

"Walk!"

Xue Yunzi didn't even look at him, but wrapped his sleeves around Xiang Sheng and rushed towards the gate of the aerial palace like a sharp sword.

Yuan Zhong held a large green bell on his head and gritted his teeth to keep up. The Fengyue Sect disciples behind him also used their protective magic weapons, their movements were erratic, and their speed of ascent was even faster than Yuan Zhong's.

Seeing that the palace gate was just around the corner, the disciples of Fengyue Sect were delighted. They used the magic weapon under their feet to exert force again and in an instant surpassed Xueyunzi, who was leading the people flying.

Xue Yunzi's eyes flashed, and he suddenly opened his mouth wide and spit out a bell. He shook it gently, and the tinkling sounds turned into ripples that spread out.

Xiang Sheng, who was wrapped in the sleeves, felt his heart tighten when he saw this and immediately closed his ears.

When the bell rang near the ears of the Fengyue Sect disciple, his body trembled, and he stopped in a daze, his eyes filled with confusion.

In this state of confusion, even the protective magic weapon could no longer be maintained and collapsed, and the entire body was instantly exposed to the sticky high temperature.

After a few breaths, the Fengyue Sect disciple finally came to his senses. He looked down and saw that most of his body had vaporized, but his expression became even more confused.

"I……"

The disciple of Fengyue Sect only had time to utter a hoarse word before he suffered the same fate as the casual cultivators, and was blown away by the wind, leaving only the protective amulet and a storage ring falling into the void.

Yuan Zhong, who was lagging behind, saw this and immediately caught the two things with his quick eyes and hands. Then he activated the ownerless magic card to add another layer of shield. He stayed far behind Xue Yunzi and did not dare to cross the line at all.

After killing the Fengyue Sect disciple, Xueyunzi remained calm. He opened his mouth to take back the bell and floated through the palace gate.

Xiang Sheng only felt that he had passed through a thin barrier, and the dazzling light from the outside world immediately dimmed. The burning sensation all over his body also disappeared, and it became extremely cool.

Xue Yunzi put Xiang Sheng down, and his cloudy old eyes swept around, a gleam of light flashing in them: "Your Highness, is this the resting place of your ancestors?"

This old guy wants to cross the river and destroy the bridge!

Xiang Sheng's heart trembled, and he immediately denied it, "Of course not! We are still in the formation. Only after we exit the formation can we enter the true location of the ancestral land. But there is no need to despair, senior. If nothing unexpected happens, this Fire Realm Palace will not only have an exit, but also treasures that are not inferior to those in the Wood Realm."

At this point, Yuan Zhong escaped with his hair singed, and rolled on the ground to put out the remaining flames on his body.

Xue Yunzi glanced at him, and the murderous intent in his heart eased a little. He waved his sleeve and released a vortex of wind, forcibly controlling Xiang Sheng by his side, and wandered around in the empty palace.

Xiang Sheng couldn't break free, her face darkened, but she didn't beg for mercy. She had anticipated this situation.

After wandering for more than half an hour, Xue Yunzi found that the surroundings were always dark and empty, and it was extremely easy to get lost.

He glanced at Xiang Sheng's calm face, was silent for a moment, and suddenly said, "Little girl, I know that you are not a descendant of the royal family."

Xue Yunzi said shockingly, "The direct descendants of the Lu family have long been slaughtered by me and the Fengyue Sect. Now only one prince has escaped."

Xiang Sheng was shocked, but on the surface he smiled coldly, "So what?"

"Nothing."

Xue Yunzi was very displeased with Xiang Sheng's stubborn attitude. He frowned slightly and said slowly, "I just want you to understand one thing: how long you can live depends entirely on your performance. You said there is a treasure in the palace and a teleportation exit. If you can find it for me, I will not make things difficult for you and will let you leave here alive."
