Chapter 63 Provoking

Qinji walked forward and played left and right without saying a word.

There were two crisp "pa pa" sounds, and the force did not decrease at all. How could Xiang Wanwan withstand it? She was immediately knocked dizzy and fell to the ground.

Xiang Sheng glanced at the guards at the door and said softly, "You guys go down. I want to have a private chat with Sister Wan."

The guards suddenly felt as if they had been pardoned. They saluted and retreated, running faster than the other.

Xiang Wanwan covered her burning face and watched as Xiang Sheng said just one word, causing all the guards who usually bowed and noded to her to leave. She finally sobered up a little and calmed down.

She looked at Xiang Sheng with a little more fear in her eyes, but her hatred remained unchanged.

"Wan Mei hates me deeply in her heart?"

Xiang Sheng's eyes were gentle, and he had a faint smile on his face. "But in my opinion, the one my sister deserves most is not me, but father."

"Don't try to sow discord here. Father loves me the most and never says a word to you."

Xiang Wanwan snorted coldly, "You're lucky this time, but you're just a servant. Your favor is temporary, but be careful, Brother Hongyu might get tired of you and abandon you like a worn-out shoe!"

"Good luck? Wanmei must be really generous."

Xiang Sheng's smile was filled with mockery. "I had already given you a sneaky warning the day you left home. Why hasn't Sister Wan finally gotten the message?"

Xiang Wanwan was stunned for a moment, looking a little bewildered.

"Wanmei, you are really stupid."

Xiang Sheng shook his head helplessly, "Do you really understand until I explain it to you? If Father hadn't been extremely wary of your mother's family, why would he deliberately stop you from going to the Blazing Flame Sect, and let me take advantage of you instead?"

Xiang Wanwan's expression changed drastically, "You're talking nonsense!"

"Whether I'm talking nonsense or not, you can ask your mother when you get home. You'll know for yourself."

Xiang Sheng spoke softly, but his words cut like a knife through Xiang Wanwan's heart. "You're half a member of the Wan family, and Father only wants to ruin you. He won't even try to find a chance for you to become an immortal."

Xiang Wanwan's body trembled slightly, but a cold smile appeared on her face. "What nonsense! Who do you think you are? My mother's family is just ordinary merchants. How could I believe your nonsense?"

"Whether you believe it or not is up to you. I just feel sorry for you and tell you the truth."

Xiang Sheng smiled softly, looking at Xiang Wanwan with a hint of pity in his eyes, "It's a pity that you deceive yourself without even realizing it. If father truly loved you, when he obtained his great immortal fate, did he give you even a little bit of it?"

"Immortal fate?"

Xiang Wanwan's face turned pale. "What immortal fate do you mean? Explain yourself clearly!"

"What kind of person is the true disciple of the Blazing Flame Sect? Why would he visit the Xiang family for no reason?"

Xiang Sheng tilted his head slightly, emphasizing each word, which weighed heavily on Xiang Wanwan's heart. "He was invited by father to come and help, to share in the immortal fate."

At this point, Xiang Sheng smiled complacently, "If my prediction is correct, Brother Hongyu will also take me in, and you can continue to be the eldest daughter of the Xiang family, isn't that good?"

"No."

Xiang Wanwan looked unconvinced and muttered softly, "Father loves me the most. She wouldn't treat me like this."

"Oh, yes, there's one more thing."

Xiang Sheng suddenly smiled brightly. "Your Wan family also had a hand in this matter, but look, who thought of you? The eldest daughter of the Xiang family?"

The last trace of blood drained from Xiang Wanwan's face. She bit her lips, sat on the ground in silence for a long time, and suddenly got up and ran out quickly.

Qin Ji was about to chase after him, but was stopped by Xiang Sheng.

"Let her be."

Xiang Sheng picked up his chopsticks, looked up and smiled gently: "Qin Ji, you haven't eaten yet, so please eat with me."

Qin Ji sat down as he was told and frowned, "Miss, I don't understand."

"What's not clear?"

Xiang Sheng picked up a piece of meat and put it in the bowl of Qinji, "Just ask."

Qin Ji's heart softened, and her tone softened. "Xiang Wanwan was so arrogant and domineering that she almost killed you before. You bullied her today and really let out a rage. But why did you tell her about the cave? Aren't you afraid she'll leak it?"

"I'm just worried she won't let it out."

Xiang Sheng curled his lips slightly, "Let's see how she reacts. If she can't find a way, we'll have to ask Fourteen to remind her."

"Miss, this..."

Qin Ji was increasingly bewildered. "If this matter were to become known, the young master would undoubtedly blame you. What's the purpose of doing such a thankless task?"

"The water isn't muddy enough."

Xiang Sheng's face was still smiling, but his eyes had turned cold. He said softly, "As the saying goes, it's easy to catch fish in troubled waters. I don't want to catch fish, I just want to escape."
